What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hello again

No breakfast
No lunch
Dinner - tex mex casserole (diet doctor recipe) with extra cheese and salad.

Hello mo53 where did you buy your crispy seaweed from? Sounds good.
 
Breakfast: Half Lidl Protein Roll, two scrambled eggs, two little slices smoked salmon, black coffee (not enough to stop my DP rise)
Lunch: Tiny portion of yesterday's dinner leftovers - chicken and aubergine curry with cauliflower rice
Dinner: Ham, egg, cheese, tomato, romaine lettuce, spring onions and Hellmanns mayo

Glass of Prosecco when Mr C gets home to celebrate the start of the long weekend. This is the first time Mr C has had all four days of Easter weekend off in 40 years of working.
 
Before lunch 2 cups coffee

Lunch 200gm mackeral 2 scrambled eggs cup tea

Evening Meal. Chicken bacon and leek bake with cauliflower tiny amount of mashed potatoe, size of a tablespoon

Nothing more until lunch tomorrow Exept drinks tea coffee or fruit teas. K
 
B Half Lidl roll toasted with butter, slice black pudding, scrambled egg
L Avocado & lemon juice
D Venison casserole, steamed veg
Snacking on bits of chocolate brownie made from recipe I adapted using almond flour, Lindt 90% cocoa chocolate, eggs, butter, salt, xylitol & chopped walnuts.Solid and rich
 
Bit odd bed 7.4 FBG 7.4 Pre breakfast 7.5. Higher bed/FBG than lately but no DP? I'm not complaining.
B. 2 scrambled eggs with mushroom, courgetti, beansprouts and parsley. Tassimo morning coffee with cream.
L. Nothing
D. Pork chop with a spicy rub. Roasted shredded sprouts with garlic and parmesan and steamed broccoli.
Sugar free jelly.
 
Cheese omelette and mushrooms

Smoked salmon mushrooms avocado and mayo - plus 5 walnuts

Lidl meatballs (5) leeks and cabbage with cream plus cauli rice

Work admin are about 5 days behind which means I have about 2000 A4 pages to read this weekend which I had hoped to have under my belt by now ... hence the G&T
 
Been busy since the beginning of the month. Work has gone crazy. So food has rather taken a back seat.

Yesterday:
B: none
L: dietdoctor chicken and veg
D: dietdoctor crackslaw (texmex version)
S: 2 squares 70%. Then 2 more.

Today:
B: kipper and scram egg
L: forgot
S: 4 squares lime choc (lindt), only 52% and tasted like milk choc
D: dietdoctor chicken and broccoli with cheese and konjac noodles followed by berries and cream.
 
We have visitors so plan is:
Cheese omelette and mushrooms

Cream of celeriac soup plus fathead pizza

Beef casserole plus steamed veg
Strawberries and cream
 
Breakfast: Toasted Lidl Protein Roll with peanut butter
Lunch: Probably avocado
Dinner: Sea bass fillets, stir fry of asparagus, mangetout, sugarsnaps, red pepper, pak choi and spring onions with creme fraiche,watercress and lime sauce

B. Strawberries and yoghurt

L. Eaten out. Bacon, sausage, eggs, black pudding and half a tomato.

D. Leftover fish pie (cheese but no potato on top) strawberries with cream.

No pomegranate for this evening
 
Still a bit odd. Bed on 7.3 FBG 7.3 pre breakfast 7.9. Then horror went up to 9 before it turned and came back down. Nothing should have caused that.
B. Bit lettuce, vittoria tomatoes, 1/2 slice roast pork, 1/2 avocado and Helmanns.
L. Coffee with a dash of cream
D. Diet Doctor burger with a portobello mushroom bun, sprinkle grated cheese , little romaine lettuce and 1 tomato. Made a mayo with tomato and chilli. Celeriac chips. Developing an addiction for celeriac chips. Tonight after boiling and coating in olive oil I seasoned with hot paprika and garlic salt. 1 hour on and I still have a wonderful taste of garlic. Probably not a good idea to get too close to me!
Had Aqua Fit and did some water running today which helped get the BG down again. Also got the shopping done so the weekend is mine. Have a wonderful Easter everyone.
 
B: none, until 11am when 2 gluten free sausages fell into me. They are delicious and quite irrisistable.
L: a controlled chocolate experiment intended to check what amount of choc causes an acceptably low bg rise. Turns out 1/4 egg = 1.5 mmol/l rise. Obviously, repeat tests will be required.
S: 2x low carb hot cross buns with a few dried cranberries.
D: pork shoulder steak, sugarsnaps and cauli cheese. In the spirit of dietdoctor, but quite a straying from the original recipe.
 
Well at least I managed to keep protein lower today.
B 1 egg with mushroom , tomato and spinach
L. 1 slice TESCO high protein bread with chicken liver pate and 1 tomato.
Tassimo morning coffee with a dash of double cream
D. Fat head pizza.
No cooking tomorrow.....

S: low carb hot cross bun
D: repeat of last night's pork shoulder steak with cauli cheese, only this evening i jazzed it up with balsamiced onions and feta stuffed chillis. Also green salad.
