I've started using Copy Me That which @Brunneria alerted me to originally. As well as being able to copy favourite recipes in from the net you can also enter your own (or someone else's recipes). I was forever losing the recipes or the links and having them in one place now is great. That sounds like a great idea. I wish there was a way to save individual posts to make coming back to them easier.
Something like this with the sugar replaced with something like sukrin gold, erythritol or splenda. Ditching the sugar does have an effect on consistency but if you cook long enough and / or introduce a tasteless thickener like tapioca flour or arrowroot it (usually!) works outI will definitely try the narrow curry - but how do you make the curried pickles? I love pickles and I love curry.
Ps kalonji seeds are called nigella seeds in the UKSomething like this with the sugar replaced with something like sukrin gold, erythritol or splenda. Thai Beef Salad
278 calories, 9g net carbs
Marinade: 3 tbsp lime juice (I used RealLime in bottle), 2 tsp fish sauce (Three Crabs brand), 1/3rd teaspoon Mae Ploy red curry paste, 1 tsp grated ginger, crushed red pepper, garlic, a few stevia drops
Meat & Veggies: 4.25 oz fried top sirloin steak (sliced in chilled), 1/4 cucumber, 1/2 small carrot, 1/4 small red onion, 1 scallion.
Mix all above together and marinade for an hour or so. Top a plate of lettuce (in this case mixed). Garnish with chopped cilantro if you like.
Firstly can I say your HbA1c results are tremendous! You should be well proud of them. In your place ziggy , the first thing I would do is to up my water intake. I drink at least 8 pints of water daily but I have always drunk a lot of water. Apart from that I wouldn't change anything or worry about anything unless you feel very unwell? So, feeling a lot better after all the excitement on Monday and not sleeping the night from Monday to Tuesday. To be honest, though, I didn't really have much of an appetite yesterday and had to force myself to eat.
Due to high ketone levels in the urine and acidic bloods, I am trying to up protein a bit, cut some of the fat and also eliminate the exercise for a while to see what happens.
Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos, one with full-fat milk and xylitol and one with cream and xylitol.
Lunch: Tartar with a little bit of mayonnaise and one fried egg.
Snack: Two squares of 85% chocolate, two Werther's Originals without sugar.
Dinner: A barbecued entrecote steak (220g), roasted bellpeppers and eggplants, half an avocado.
Also had three glasses of water with baking soda to help with balancing the acidity in my blood.
Results this morning: Higher blood sugars this morning and fewer ketones in my urine this morning.

There's a bit on this site as well about DKA which may be helpful.

It was the job I used to do. I was a technical trainer and had to speak to very large audiences a lot of the time so if I didn't drink water my throat would dry up (not good if you are having to project your voice). As a result I just do it automatically. Even if I have wine I always have water with it.Thanks, @maglil55. I will definitely up my water intake. Unfortunately, I often forget since I don't really get thirsty any more after getting my blood sugars under control. So, I actively have to make sure to drink enough.
How do you remember to drink enough? Do you have a special trick?

I even take a pint of water to bed with me.
