Good morning all. Back on the blood sugar roller coaster. Blood sugars again a bit higher this morning, which I don't quite understand. Might be the flu that is still somewhere lurking, again a bit of sore throat and sneezing now and then -- but nothing dramatic.
Was doing a bit of internet shopping and am trying out a few new things. So, ordered a few Adonis snack bars, thanks for the thumbs up,
@Rachox. I also bought ketchup sweetened with erythritol and some lupini beans (also known as altramuces or tremocos). The beans have less than 1g of carbs per 100g, so am really curious to see how they taste and what I can do with them. It seems that in Spain and Portugal, they are used as a snack, similar to peanuts.
@Goonergal,
@Brunneria,
@Rachox, and
@jayney27 -- an alternative to tomato sauce on pizza is sour cream, though technically that probably makes it a tarte flambe I suppose. I actually prefer the taste as it is less acidic.
Friday ...
Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol. Half a merguez sausage.
Lunch: Tuna sashimi with a homemade low-carb Asian inspired sauce and low-carb cole slaw.
Dinner: A DD keto roll, one half with butter and sliced chicken breast, the other half with butter and beef salami. A cornsalad with Caesar's dressing and parmesan, low-carb chocolate mousse with whipping cream and a very small serving of erythritol-candied kumquats. A glass of red wine.
Today, we have blue skies and expect temperatures to go up to 23 degrees. Am looking forward to spending the day outside.
