I experimented a bit to begin with, gradually reducing the amount of carbs but I wasn’t getting anywhere so I went cold turkey and worked with 20-25g per day while I was losing weight. It took me less than 2 months to lose 30lbs. Now I am around 45-50g carbs per day and trying to maintain my weight. I made something very similar to this on Sunday, for grown up offspring coming to dinner. I used raspberry sugar free jelly instead of lemons, and ricotta cheese instead of cream. Topped with fresh raspberries. I ate a small piece, and they very kindly took the rest home to save me from myself. Much the same reason why I used to help them by eating some of the many Easter eggs they were given when they were small.
