A scientific experiment today. My BG is consistently in the 5s so I thought I would try a carb treat and see if I tolerated it at all.
Enter, stage left, a "Proper Cornish" chicken & chorizo pasty. The smell of these babies in the works canteen has had me drooling for weeks, and I just had to have one. So can I tolerate them?

BG level before eating - 5.2. BG reading two hours later - 13.6!

So that would be a "No", then. :(

I love chicken korma! I had it last week with some mashed cauliflower & celeriac - it didn't seem right not to have something to replace the rice. :)

I've been told not to test post meal, as my DSN says everyone spikes after a meal even non diabetics. I find it strange that we all get told to do different things, when surely the doctors/nurses training must be the same. I'm confused:confused:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes tongue :p
Hi s.sollis, I am glad someone else likes it too, there are only a few people I know who like it, I don't know why its good. I can eat a couple of slices of this between meals if I am a bit peckish and have tested afterwards and my BG readings love it too. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
