What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I have bad news for him. I am 50 and I still can't whistle.

But it is a good ambition. Maybe it will come with practice...
I confused him too because I told him I couldn't whistle either. "So what's your number?" "63" "well that's it - you're not 4 then". Child has an answer for everything.

Evening all.

Breakfast - skipped

Lunch - got sent to a meeting to cover for a colleague. Venue was conveniently close to a large shopping mall so I was able to fit in a sneaky visit to Nandos and slip into Waitrose to replenish my stock of Lindt 90%. Lunch was 5 plain wings with salad

Dinner - will be bolognese with courgetti and grated cheese finished off with 2 squares of said chocolate

Hello
B. Raspberries and cream

L. Omelette and 2 rashers of bacon.

1 hours swimming

D. Alaskan salmon with a tomato and onion salad. Strawberries and cream.
Unsure about the pomegranate situation. :)

Caught up with myself again. Bed 6.4 FBG was 6.3 ànd pre breakfast was 7.1 so gradually returning to these pre latest diseased days.
B. A bit rushed again so a boiled egg on the move and 1 walnut.
L. Tassimo morning coffee with cream and the remains of yesterday's Thai red curry with salmon and prawns.
D. I think I'll try these Oomi Noodles as a carbonara
No 2 is here currently. He's 4 tomorrow and he informs me that he has to work all his naughtiness out today as once he is 4 he is a big boy and big boys have to be good. His second declaration was he'll be able to whistle tomorrow because you cannot whistle until you are 4?
Changed my mind about dinner. It's a beautiful evening so it's salad weather. Prawn salad coming up. The carbonara can wait.

An eating day

B: repeat of last night's Dietdoc tandoori salmon with cucumber sour cream (no huge green salad this time though). Impressive GARLIC presence at 7.30 am
L: ditto, plus salad. Garlic dominating everything now.
D: steamed veg with chicken breast in paprika, cream and Parmesan sauce. Will definitely do that again.

The usual 70% snackette

Unsure about the pomegranate situation. :)
The Pomegranate tree up the road has done a perish through lack of water, hopefully this will not slow supplies down for export. :D

Come to think of it there was a good display of pomegranates in Woolies when we did our shopping last week

Morning:
2 pieces of mini cathedral city cheese.
Bulletproof coffee.
70g pork scratchings.
Another coffee with MCT oil.
4 peperamis

I think my problem is too much protein.

Yesterday:

Cheese omelette and mushrooms

Smoked salmon with mushrooms, avocado and mayo (my go to packed lunch although a bit yuk as no fridge in Sheffield)

Bacon and onion in pesto and cream sauce (similar to the DD chicken pesto sauce) with stir fried leeks (hubby had pasta with his)
Two squares of 81%

Lidl roll plus cheese for supper

Today:

Groundhog breakfast

Piece of Stilton

DD Indian crackslaw

Probably Lidl roll with cheese for supper

No.... I can't whistle either. My Mother could do that ear-shattering taxi whistle where you put loads of fingers in your mouth.

@maglil55 - was he disappointed when he couldn't automatically whistle on his birthday?? He sounds a complete character. :)

Today.....

Breakfast: 2 Boiled egg yolks (the dogs had the whites), buttered Lidl protein roll soldiers

Lunch: 4 walnut halves, 3 brazil nuts, 2 squares 90%

Dinner: Fried Halloumi, aubergine chips, romaine, cherry tomatoes, red onion

Lots and lots of cold (non alcoholic) drinks

Did everyone else get that DD email about low carb fruit?

https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb..._term=0_41db911777-c7ede330ac-463625369#top10

(hope that works!)
I got the email too but I hadn't had a chance to read it. No 2 has been here all day and is hyper as it is his birthday. I am even having an unintentional fast as I haven't eaten today either. Life currently consists of Blaze and the Monster Machines. Took him to Smyths to get more Monster Machines for his track (for that read giving Pàpa a break from the incessant Papa papa papa).
He's off home in 45 mins but it's his parents night at pre school so I'm still 2 hours from freedom (And food).

LOL - He sounds lovely but hard work. I've never heard of either Blaze or the Monster Machinies. :)

Breakfast - skipped.

Lunch - tuna mayo with salad (baby leaf spinach, rocket, baby plum tomatoes)

Dinner - roast chicken leg with broccoli. In the oven and I'm already regretting it as it's hot enough already, but I took the chicken out of the freezer and going away for the weekend, so it had to be cooked.

Edited to add 2 squares of Lindt 90%
