What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Glad to say my BGs are stabilising again. Bed on 5 FBG 6.9 and pre breakfast was 7.2. Highest post breakfast was 7.8 so that's loads better.
B. Slice Ayrshire ham and 2 scrambled eggs with less parsley than yesterday! Tassimo Americano Grande with a dash of cream.
L. Was forced to buy cheese strings when out shopping as the was post aqua and swimming and was feeling a bit queasy. 2 cheese strings and a bottle of water sorted it. Don't really like them but it kept me away from the scotch pies which were hot out of the oven.
D. Salmon fillet stuffed with tomato, pesto and mozzarella and chilli. Portobello mushroom stuffed with chorizo, tomato and cheese. Wee bit lettuce and helmanns, 2 baby beetroot with juniper and black pepper.
Loads of water.

B Fried mushrooms & tomatoes with Cheddar, scrambled eggs
L 3-leaf salad with red Leicester, tomatoes & home-made mint dressing
D Braised pork chops with onion, steamed veg, roast pumpkin, & cabbage with bacon cooked in butter, sherry & fennel seeds, cream cheese stirred in.

Feeling very chuffed with myself. Just back from getting my HbA1c result from the doctor. Now down to 34.

Getting back on topic, today has been a fasting day.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - none

Dinner - In the oven. Roast chicken leg with buttered broccoli and cauliflower, 10 raspberries and cream, 2 squares Lindt 90%

Well done @Goonergal on your excellent results.

B - nothing
L- broccoli and Stilton soup with a protein roll

Have a lovely weekend all xx

Starting to cook with riced cauliflower. Oh my how I have missed rice. Wow this hit the spot :).

6 oz riced cauliflower (made it fairly quickly pulsing the florets in my food processor)
fried in 1 tbsp olive oil then add:
1 tbsp tomato paste
mexican spices to your liking (e.g. paprika, cumin, orgeano, garlic, etc)
salt

Toppings:
lousinna hot sauce or favorite (optional)
1/2 ounce queso fresca or feta in this case
garnish with some cilantro or other green if you like

Are you feeling better @Chook?

Noticed all the protein rolls are always gone when I go into Lidl the last few times.:(
Been having the same problem, managed to get 5 protein rolls today, so will ration them. Nearest lidl is 20 min drive away so always disappointing when I cannot get them ☹️

B - nothing
L- soft boiled egg, 1/2 protein roll and pkt pork scratchings
D - tonight will be salt and chilli spare ribs with fried mushrooms and a weekend glass of red wine X

A few weeks ago there was always plenty whenever I went in there.

It's all the publicity they've been getting on here.

I'll have to make do with the Burgen loaf.
Tesco do a high protein loaf and the Hovis lower carb bread is pretty good too. Not as dense and filling as the lidl rolls but still good.

At my dad's for the weekend so less in control of what and when I eat. Haven't done too badly but blood sugar levels a bit higher than normal.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - roast lamb (a little too lean for me), buttered broccoli and runner beans, touch of gravy

Dinner - cauliflower cheese (made by me to eliminate flour), corned beef, half a tomato, 10 raspberries and cream

Drinks - 2 mugs tea with cream, shed loads of water

Swimming with No 1 grandson this morning and now I have 2 days 'off' to do as I please (local holiday on Monday). All the 6's with the BGs bed 6.6 FBG 6.1 and pre breakfast was 6.8. Weather is awful - really chucking it down so had a whole afternoon doing nothing.
B. Slice Hovis with smoked salmon pate. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. 6 king prawns, tablespoon of smoked salmon pate, fresh anchovies, lettuce, 4 cherry tomatoes. Marigold Swiss bouillon.
D. Slice each roast pork, Ayrshire ham, corned beef, fire and smoke turkey, lettuce, 4 cherry tomatoes, tablespoon home made vegetable salad, egg mayonnaise.
And I have another load of chia pudding in the fridge with the little darlings expanding nicely.

We always buy Lidl rolls uncooked/frozen by the dozen. They charge the same but taste better when you bake them at home. 25 mins at gas mark 5. You have to ask quite firmly and, if necessarily, stress that other Lidl stores sell them like this.

To be honest I've not been all that bothered about them as I only eat bread on Sunday with my Full English.
2 rounds of Burgen toast.
Just noticed the last few times I've been in they're all gone.
