What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

0900hrs b omlete with ham ,chicken and mushrooms
1630hrs l pork stirfry
2100hrs late dinner , dry spicy chicken wings, prawns and chirzo fried in butter and asparagus wrapped in parma ham grilled :hungry:

Do you use an overpatch?
No. I’ve never found anything I’m not allergic to - tegaderm, tape etc all caused massive rashes.

Guess I’d better comment on what I ate yesterday - too early for food so far today, although I’ve been awake for ages due to heat (the temperature in my flat dropped a massive 0.3 degrees overnight so was 27.5 Celsius at 4am!) and a police helicopter circling since about 4am! Just my iced water/electrolyte drink and a Diet Coke so far today.

Yesterday mid morning had Fage 0%, extra thick double cream and raspberries. Followed up with air fried pork belly pieces.

Dinner at German Doner Kebab while out - beef gymbox - and some more of the diary/raspberry mix once home.

Em got up around 10.45 and seems willing to eat today. She just naturally doesn't bother with starchy foods (unlike sugary foods) so asked just for some crispy bacon for breakfast and at the moment is having her lunch of - guess what - crispy bacon with 2 fried eggs. She has been quite a lot overweight recently but she does seem to be losing some of that excess. Just as well, she has grown into age 12 or adult clothes but it isn't all fat, she's tall as well. She could quite easily be carnivore, I think because although she will happily eat many fruits and vegetables, she's not really bothered with them these days. The lack of carbs is a good thing since on both sides of her family, there is diabetes so she is obviously pre-disposed to it.

Made a half decent fat head pizza today. Didn’t have the necessary pork crackling for a carnivore base, and had some ground almonds leftover from baking for a work do a couple of weeks ago, so fathead it was. Topped with chorizo and salami. Tasted pretty good but I do prefer the carnivore base.

2nd transitional day at the senior school. It went well. He said despite the day starting earlier and finishing later, the day passed quicker. I did tell him it's because they are moving from class to class. Anyway, back to primary for the last 2 busy weeks.

B. TAG and a small piece of crustless quiche.
Too busy with packed lunch and extra journeys.

L A not very healthy 2 HC dark choc truffles!

D. Another piece of crustless quiche with 1/2 avocado, santini tomatoes, port salut and walnut halves. I really didn't feel like cooking. A few raspberries.

Thursday 16 June - bed 10 FBG 8.7 My leg is still causing me problems and I feel a bit "off". At least I have a bit more time before the double school run.

B. TAG and a couple of crackers with egg mayo.

L. Nothing back to normal with eldest back to ours for his lunch.

D. A couple of these spicy rissoles (I haven't made them for ages). Pork mince, wrapped around Mexican cheese. Dipped in egg then coated in a mix of milled flax, almond flour, paprika and sesame. I had it with avocado, santini tomatoes, port salut and the remains of the egg mayo.

Tried to upload the photo but it's not playing currently.

I know that feeling very well!

Yesterday I ate a bit early for me - around 10am needed some air at work so went to M&S and bought raspberries and cream to go with the Fage 0% I already had in the office fridge.

Lunch was half a rotisserie chicken sat in the sun alongside the Thames - had to shift spots as the first place I chose, a wall covered in marble-like stone, was far too hot for my rear!!

The less said about ‘dinner’ the better.
I've taken to waken at 4 or 5am thanks to my right leg problems. I've been quietly doing my crossword to tire me. Trouble is, I seem to doze off not too long before it's time to waje/get up!

Been a stressful few days, elderly girl cat walked in late one evening dragging her hind legs behind her. If only they could talk as have had 2 days of not knowing what she did or how much it hurts. Luckily she seems to on the mend and is walking again. I wouldn't have put money on that outcome, but still not uncrossign fingers yet.

So my memory of my food is a bit patchy
Some yoghurt and seeds have been eaten, as have 2 avocados and a bit of cheese.
Yesterday's evening meal was out at the theatre
A starter of tuna that arrived marinated in far too much soy so couldn't even tell it was tuna. Main was steak with salad, 2 glasses white.
Hubby had a dessert that was so rich even one mouthful was too much for me.

Today I fell for choclate cream éclairs at lunch, nothing else and it was a big mistake both a big spike and losing the rest of the afternoon to a long nap.
Dinner was steak and salad again. Followed by 1 scoop ice cream, which would not normally raise my bg, but did this evening.

To cap it all my libre seems to be peeling off. I've had them fail before but not peel off. Will they still replace it free do you think?
They do replace them. You do tend to get the odd one that doesn't stick right and fall off. I've had 4 of them and you gave to go through the usual 20 questions but, they do replace them

It did come off overnight, and yes they are replacing it.
I got these on Amazon. They stick like mad. The blue bit peels off too so they are totally clear. No chance of it falling off with one of these. Screenshot_20220618-215205_Amazon%20Shopping.jpg

I'm kind of shattered what with my leg (easing again), waking too early and the rushing between schools. 2 weeks to go!!

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with coronation chicken.

L. Nothing. Picking up both boys. Eldest walked to mine and I got him and one of his pals on the way along with little brother.

D. Deli chicken with avocado, cheese, santini tomatoes and walnuts. Strawberries with a spoonful of strawberry clotted cream that I got in M&S.

Gin and soda with a slice of orange.

Thanks for all the suggestions re sticky patches. I haven't had trouble before, and this time was odd in that the libre separated from its own adhesive. The sticky side was still well stuck to me, so I was left with the glue while the libre worked its way out. I've been left with a small inflamed spot,. Free replacement is on its way to me.

B: yoghurt, seeds, strawberry
L: 2 chicken thighs, more yog, a strawbeŕy and a bit of 85% grated on top.
D: aubergine parmesan cooked in tomato sauce. 1 scoop ice cream.

Finally, a bit of thunder and rain, but doesn't seem to be lasting

The rissoles sound like something I’d enjoy. When you say Mexican cheese is it a specific type you use?

Two slices middle bacon, two egg cheese omelette, mushroom, tomato, two slices of toast and ginger marmalade for breakfast.
Nothing for lunch except a cup of soup, my insides were not feeling the best.
Chicken legs for supper at six.

Glass of singlr malt and a early night to bed.
