Thanks- I need to lose about 3 stone- I've been up and down all my life but stuck at this weight post-pregnancy as I developed post -natal OCD and anxiety. I need to get my BS levels down and hopefully low carbing and exercise will do that and shift some of the weight in time for a university reunion in August. Vanity is suddenly a great motivator.

Bummer. Was it a bad one?

Back to Philly steaks then...
Nah just mild one though it did recur around lunch time due to classic over correction. I took half the insulin for the hypo carbs, thinking I had overdone it. When will I ever learn. On the plus side the worst score on the CGM was 8.2. So could have been a much worse rebound.

Oh and having run into someone I haven't seen for a few weeks, just before starting low carb, I'm told I have visibly lost weight. :-)

excellent Spiker - is that caused by not enough insulin ;)

weetabix, pork schnitzel, chips, carrots, nuts (and yes peanuts), magnum ice cream, chicken sandwich, crumpet, cheese, pork scratchings, raspberries, chocolate and several cups of tea and coffee.

As you can see not very low carb anymore but also a highest BG level of 6.6

Well done on your expedition :D

Normal brekkie and lunch

Dinner was prawn cocktail, peanut butter chicken and salad. 18g carbs. I've been low all day though, the heat? Didn't get above 4 until gone 6pm :/

I've also been snacking loads, not sure why that's started again?
I feel low again now, bg was 6.7 half hour ago, now 5.8.
At least the heat is good for the raynauds.

**** you, Tescos, for reducing Green & Black's 100g chocolate to £1.50.

Some high carb fanatics planted a few bars in my shopping basket. To discredit me.

I read that eggs are ok as long as you don't have a cholesterol issue. And if you do, just have the whites which have no cholesterol in them x

eggs are ok - doesnt matter about cholesterol

What are these 9 bars I see here? Can I find the resipe here anywhere? The sound of a "cereal bar" for quick fix snacks on the run makes me all excited!

I am rethinking my opposition to the Cumberland sausage. While it is higher in carbs than the regular type, it has almost twice as much fat. In LCHF terms the Cumberland is probably the overall winner.

They are a branded seed bar in the UK. "9 Bar". Many of them are still quite high carb but the peanut one just about qualifies as low carb.
