Up to you... ;)

Only for heavens sake, don't eat too little. It is the fat that makes LCHF bearable, satisfying and sustainable.

For ages, I thought it was the protein, but I've finally learned that it's the fat.

Hungry? Tired? Cold? Un satisfied? Fluctuating BG? Eat fat.

Sounds shocking, doesn't it? But it works. And my body runs better on it than any other way of eating.

Me too!

Lunch was a pret a manger chef's chicken salad. I pretended it had no carbs and my blood sugar seemed to agree.

Dinner - 400g Cumberland sausage (Tesco), 100g coleslaw (M&S). 10gch, 55gpr, 133 g fat. That's quite LCHF!

Energy: 3% carb, 15% protein, 82% fat.

Maybe I'm not eating enough far then? I'm quite hungry again at the mo.

Another weird BG day on holiday. Fasting 6.6, had breakfast of bacon egg mushroom tomato, out and about, cheese omelette and salad garnish for lunch, bit of a walk late afternoon, preprandial 6.3 :banghead: , then had avocado vinaigrette, Angus burger and ratatouille, and rhubarb & cream - with a glass of red wine. At +2 was 6.0! Maybe my levels are being affected by change of environment even though I'm supposedly relaxing from work?

For your preprandial 6.3, could your liver have joined in the action, if you have been active?

I'm still scared to eat fat! All those years of brainwashing...

I'm trying though. Wish the weight would shift! While I'm still testing BG with foods, I'm not yet being really formulaic and still following Holford for now.

Will start weighing good etc prob next week x

High fat is only bad if it is combined with high carb...like pizza. It's ok with low carb.

Two pumpkin seed ryvitas and cheese and tomatoe on top.

Possibly something like that, or it's on holiday as well and did the DP thing after a long lie in .

Fried breakfast at a café. Eggs bacon mushroom black pudding fried onion. I had to guess the nutrients. My appetite is so much lower now I could barely finish it.

Coconut water, 17 gch. 250 ml , mixed with 300 ml sparkling water.

My BG is rising so I guess I underestimated the carbs in the onions and black pudding.

Not eaten it yet, but have just created a chicken korma for tonight!

It tastes better than the takeaway so I'm feeling a bit chuffed!

Only thing is, what do I eat with it instead of rice?!

Sounds fantastic! I am jealous. Do you know how to make cauliflower "rice"?

Sorry, don't know about broccoli rice. I like curry on shredded lettuce leaves. It's nicer than it sounds.

No lettuce either :-(

Will do a shop tomorrow!

I tried broc rice mixed with a bit of brown basmati rice and it was ok!

Even better, my kids (who are notorious for being fussy) ate it too.

I think that was a successful cooking session today!

X

Breakfast turkey bacon, mushrooms, tomato
lunch homemade tandoori chicken salad with minty yogurt dressing
dinner chilli on bed of iceberg lettuce with cheese and homemade coleslaw
snack couple of babybel

Spent a chunk of last night making 9 large portions of moussaka, only to remember that we had just filled the freezer to the brim with wolf tucker.

Oh dear.

If I don't post to this thread for a few days, just assume I am living on nothing but cheese strings and moussaka...
