What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg of 4.8 today early doors. 40 hours without food will do that as well as have me at 71 kgs (and make lipid profile deteriorate) - should I go after 70 kgs I wonder? 2nd Ember day today but not planning on fasting although it does avoid all the nonsense of macros and food choices. Youngest granddaughter in our sole care this afternoon and sleeping? with us - DIL preparing a set of copious notes. Hugs for the sad news @Krystyna23040 and I understand how miffed you are by your reading @PenguinMum Have a great day and weekend.

How do I bid on the scooter? It's on my bucket list and I've decided I need to crack on with this asap!

Brilliant post bye the way.....

I am glad I made you laugh. You just made my morning -- I think ...
Of course now I hope you will tell me what muffin eater means where you are from; especially because I chose it over my first attempt of "crumpetvore" because even Americans know there are different definitions of "crumpet".
Actually I think I can guess what m***** e**** means ....

It is literally freezing here this morning. I didn't even have to translate the temperature, as every schoolchild knows 32F = 0C. Now if I could just get my FBG down with the temperature ... 7.4 this morning.

@jjraak Early Bon Voyage to you and Lauren of Arabia! Are you going back to the same places you have posted about before, or somewhere new? Either way, I hope y'all will have a wonderful time.

These are beautiful paintings. Thank you for posting them. The blues and white are very cool and refreshing to me.
I am glad you are feeling better today. You have had an almost-shattering week. I was thinking about you a week ago today when I had to go out looking for my lost hat in freezing wind without my walking poles, because of the thoughtlessness of my neighbor-driver. But all was well and I made it -- then slept most of the following day.
I have known some very nice watermisters in my time ...

good day all

4.3 today

just doing jobs around the house today making soup and cooking for the freezer.

Hope your day is treating you well

Triple Win for you and your catlings.

You know I love your handwashing song!
^. .^

I hope your appointment was a success. Thank you for posting those lovely photos.

Thank you. Mine is treating me very well ... sunshine outside, coffee and KittenCat inside -- KittenCat in my lap ... legs going numb ...
I hope your day keeps going well.

7.45am FBG 5.7
Quite pleased with that, considering the 3am lemon tea with large chunk of cheese.
Today feeling a little more positive - or I was until had to decline invitation to family party next week. Short notice. High prices on ferries. We just can't do it. The bank is begining to look thin, and the remaining time far too short for the considerable work still required. Somebody invent the 10 day week.
On a more positive note we have an date for the electricity company to call. Not sure if this is merely an appraisal, or they will actually do the neccessary upgrades then. Either way it has taken from mid November to get this far.
And to add to the debate about panic buying of handwash. I really need to get some more.

A NOOOO .YOU DONT..
For the first part of your post

And a "PHEW" thank goodness .... with those last few lines.

The story of how I drew a turtle ...

I picked out my "mauve" glitter pencil, the color Crayola used to call "thistle," the color of a '57 Chevrolet:

thinking I would draw a sworl or two, like paisley ... but once I had drawn one that sort of pleased me I decided it looked like a turtle's head and neck, so I drew the shell ... and the tail, although at the time I thought the tail was a mistake I'd made with the edge of the shell ...
So anyway I added some legs that I'm not very happy with but at least I gave them webbed feet since this turned out to be a swimming turtle, looking back down at ... her shell? ... no, something below the surface of the water ... not anything scary ...
A baby turtle, swimming after her like a baby whale or porpoise, but he looked more like a running dog or a dog leaping over something ...
Sea flowers waving in the current, but they looked more like broccoli limbering up ...
and some shells in the sand below, that turned out to be a snail looking up at the turtles ...
And I learned how to draw waves ...

Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
