Good morning @SaskiaKC hope all is good in your world.
AmazingMy son tried to keep us away from the action maybe he thought I would disgrace my self but they were a great bunch of guy's and kept filling our glasses and we had a great time they were posting a photo of Judith on their web sites world wide as a new mother of the order it seems as now my son has several hundred brothers our family has grown somewhat in scope.
Oh dear. It is difficult when skin is papery thin.Am not feeling to great today yesterday was a bit of a calamity I managed to cut my self on a dining-room chair just brushed against it with my arm and took a fair bit of skin off skin is so thin and fragile, upset Judith by getting blood all over the floor and my clothes today it is very sore.
And when I went to bed I found one of my toes was black thought that's odd as had just that morning had my monthly bath. Wasn't dirt just one big bruise have not a clue how it happened.
So not having one of my best Saturdays.
Had my eye appointment this afternoon and am now totally confused. The tests I had on Tuesday are not in my file.and were all repeated today - although they also did different photos of the back of the eye than Tuesday did. Eyesight was exactly - or very slightly better than in 2017 whereas on Tuesday the Doctor said eyesight was significantly worse. The optician explained they were a different clinic but used their equipment.
I didn't see a doctor - which I thought I was going to. I flagged up my concerns with the Optician and she said my notes would be going to the doctor. Will bring this up when I go on Monday for the injections. So why do I need the injections if my eyesight hasn't changed. Very confusing - but I was really pleased that I had no deterioration in eyesight from 2017.
I didn't stress and did some meditation which helped.
I have to turn my mobile sideways to see signatures. Oh my yours is impressive! Good job Po. When is your next hba1c?
Good morning and Bon Bon Jaroo from Lands Are Grotty where it is still dark o’clock but somehow I am up and about.
My wheel of wonderment and pizzazz has condescended to award me with a 4.7 this morning - could it be that it is because it’s our last day here in lava land and we have managed to survive it all.
There is, in a cupboard under the sink, a green can of something called Formula Plus. I have no idea what is in it but there are red diamonds on the back with pictures of flames and dead things, including trees and fish. Could it be a handy can of Armageddon or perhaps its for inflating balloons?
I treated a massive cockroach to a squirt this morning - it was not pleased - charged around the bathroom like a demented circus clown and then, after a few false starts, dropped dead. Very silent movie scene but this time in colour. So, not for inflating balloons then? Best put it back where I found it before a grown up gives me a lecture about the dangers of touching stuff residing under sinks.
Talking of treats, Mrs Miggins took all the children down to the shore yesterday morning to sit on the red hot lava dust with buckets, spades and nets, pretending to be having fun. Lots of rock pools to explore; two eldest grandchildren in charge of the two youngest, or was it the other way around? Little Miss Pamplemousse went winkling, bringing us all back a real treat in her net.
I have still to finish my holiday book - The Black Swan by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. 40 pages to go but I still have today and the flight back to Edinburgh.
Have a great weekend, I suspect several hours of mine will be spent sitting in a plane, sitting in a car, having a kip.

Nice set of readings - exercise invariably increases my blood sugars - I think that my body is just doing what it is meant to do - dump fuel.
Your liver probably woke up before you did - livers are very comedic.
Have a great day if you can.
Well I just came in, and after grudgingly showing the pesky meter the light of day, inserting a strip and watching the red stuff being sucked up it retorted with 4.8, happy now?Careful with that chainsaw Po - a very Norfolky man I played cricket with had a serious encounter with one which made a mess of his arm but surgeons saved it and he returned to play the next season. I tend to hand saw and bludgeon with an axe but both the cutting of logs and burning in winter are very therapeutic. Highlight of my year is carefully stacking a 2-3 ton load - so simple yet so much pleasure. Cutting does seem to really drop bg for me so testing may provide a pleasant surprise.
Thank you - your post is very helpful. I think I will find - like you did - that I won't get to the bottom of it but I will write a concise list of questions and concerns in bullet form and hopefully get some answers.Every technician/doctor reads/interprets differently, and has a different way of writing their reports.
I had a patient's advocate many years ago to challenge some of these confusing apparent contradictions...the way reports were written on my files. The patient's advocate explained every doctor interpreted differently and wrote their reports differently, and that I wouldn't get at the bottom of it, and I didn't.
Since then (and the patient's advocate advised this), I have asked for a copy of the report of every appointment I have.
Write down your list of concerns/questions in concise bullet form (keep another copy to keep at home), date it etc. Make it short, so that it can be scanned/read in a matter of a moment. You can expand verbally on anything the doctor/specialist asks. And tell them they can keep it.

One of the amazing side effects and benefits of meditation is I find, it is the ultimate time management tool. Things just seem to get done in the most efficient manner and time. Without the need to try and control things…. That also continues and carries on in to all aspects of my daily life.So most of yesterday I toiled away at my computer and only did 6K steps instead of my usual 14K steps. Last night 5.1 and this morning an amazing 4.8.
@poemagraphic - my meter is sitting there looking very smug. What on earth is it telling me - that if I am almost completely inactive I will have wonderful fbs. Surely not.
I did keep calm and meditate and was able to stay tranquil all day and evening when normally I would be stressed over my retinal clinic appointments today. I also actually managed to do loads more paperwork than I would have normally.
I am one of those people who always looks calm on the outside and I think of myself and laid back. But I am realising now that at times I am stressed out and far from tranquil - which does impact my bs.
Thank you very much.
It seems I have a chance to do something with this. Build up on it slowly, be very mindful on what I eat and when. In a sense I am lucky that I live on my own, and I am not tempted by others food or opinions. And I don't have a television so I don't see adverts tempting me or awakening chemical taste buds I wasn't aware of...
You have a good day!

No TV! Genn, I wish I could break the hold it has over me. They are called television programs for a reason. Most of us are programmed daily, unwittingly from all sorts of sources. The TV being perhaps second only to the interwebby thing and mobile phones!
I like you enjoy posting on this thread because you can chat away to your hearts contentI'm not sure about figures but I think you are right. Maybe one of the mods might be able to elaborate on stats. But you can always add your poems to your daily fbs comment. As you have done here. I like this thread for its allowance to write lots! I myself have been pretty quiet lately as so much going on here but my project is almost done and I feel some poetry coming on
I don't have a mobile, except for my work phone which is STRICTLY for work. Lots of facts and images etc that are best staying out of the public domain (crime fighting stuff!) I love Adobe Photoshop it is a great piece of kit. A bit of a steep learning curve however. I guess the app is far more hands on.I have an app on my phone. Adobe photoshop Express. Free. I only take pics with my mobile but it's great for enhancing.
