What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and especially to that poster and fellow motorcyclist from the dark and dangerous norf who's posts regularly make me smile, yep @dunelm have a great 15 x ? = X birfday.

Blood sugars
Yesterday 5.4
Today 5.7

Well fellow posters life has been getting in the way of virtual life, never mind.
Now think of Lou Reed's song perfect day, have you got the tune in your mind, yesterday I had a perfect day, I used my circular saw, electric planer, router and sander and drank koffy in the garden. Well it nearly rhythms. I was revamping a garden table I made a few years ago, hopefully a picture will be attached.
Today was other stuff with a 6:45am start to my day.
Well folks I hope the deity of days has been kind to you all. Hugs where required, but socially distancing hugs.FB_IMG_1590505691833.jpg

@dunelm a late happy birthday. I don't know why but I was under the opinion you were younger than me 15, wow can't wait to be that age.

@dogslife good news on your moms test results. Hugs for HbA1c and Cholesterol. Good you got tested my Health Centre is refusing to do them and also only offering telephone annual review.

So after failing to paint Oak trees on yesterday's bike ride I went out again today with this in mind, no more fires. But when high up on Brocton Heights and before getting to the ancient Oak Woods I was taken by the Silver Birch trees looking down into the Sherbrooke Valley. Jumped off bike and painted them, pleain air, watercolour, A4 and 30 minutes, very different to yesterday's fire damaged Silver Birch. Another good bike ride, I do like painting outdoors.

@dogslife Wonderful news that your mum tested negative for Covid.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist. It was welcome news indeed. :) My tests were not done at my own GP surgery. I received a blood form by post and had to ring a local clinic to make an appointment. I was advised to arrive no earlier than my appointment as I would not be able to enter the building. There was only one other person in the waiting area and the phlebotomist wore gloves and a mask. I wore a mask too in order to protect the staff. The same centre is always available for my blood tests but usually has a "take a number and wait" system and can involve a crowded room and a long wait which cannot happen atm. My own GP centre is also only offering telephone reviews. This was an interim test not for my annual review. Results and advice was given via phone. Best wishes.

@gennepher lovely pastel, it's not easy to work on small scale with pastels, this one is very well executed. J was talented, I always am envious of artists who are brave enough to leave paper showing and know where and when to do it.

Thankyou @Muddy Cyclist

I will have a go at leaving paper at some later point. But at the moment it is working out all the colours.

Thank you, I feel the leaves are a bit heavy for Silver Birch, working outside the green I put on top of the yellow base started to blend rather than stipple, more like Beech Leaves. I shall do a proper painting from the watercolour sketch and try and get that delicate leaf seen on spring Silver Birch.

Silver Birch leaves are not always the easiest leaves to work with.

We have had that much fine weather I didn't realize it was still spring. I just looked it up and it's spring until June the 20!

Fbg 6.3

Temp 35.9

Clear night sky all night. Twinkling stars!

Cloud cover comes over at dawn. Then sunrise with blue skies and tiny wispy cotton clouds.

I think we have a sunny day today.

Enjoy yourselves.

Good Morning and a 5.5 for me today.

Another glorious day here. Off to do my hunter gathering in the wilds of Tesco. Today's sport will be to see if I can negotiate Tescos one way system in the least amount if distance.

Cease the day, take care.

Good morning everyone. I'm posting this Wednesday morning - (posts appearing at odd times lately for me) 4.2 on Libre @ 5.44 this morning. In a run of flat track bully fbgs ; it is summer, salad is the order of the day and lockdown suits me. 20k steps around the house + grounds and plenty of gym equipment here. If I'm honest, the only lifting of restrictions I could wish for personally is hugs/sleepovers from our grandchildren. I'll deal with autumn and winter when the problem comes. Do take care and stay elite. Oh, I learned the word/phrase crybully (ing) yesterday https://www.dictionary.com/browse/crybully . How very droll.

Painting for my painting challenge for today.
Pastel. Sunrise.
And it's on the children's cheap yellow sugar paper, the colour of the yellow in the sky...
Took about an hour.
Looks like a scorcher of a day. Me and him are going to be out there on the thatched swing...
Bye....

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all a Lerts, if anybody knows any Lerts please alert the nearest journalist, they certainly know nothing about social distancing. The journalists that is.

A 7.2 this morning Mrs J made a low carb chocolate cake yesterday all the right ingredients for diabetics, but not for me, or more likely the 2 slices I scoffed hehehehehe.

Just a quick reminder today is national bin day, if you have space in your bin please feel free to add a journalist to your bin. I won't tell. I must stop this rant against journalists.

Have a great day fellow posters, steal a hug if you feel the need, remember now the shops are going to be open, get your order in for Christmas sprouts early.
