Definitely dog friendly. I think about 3,000 acres of parkland. I like the parkland but Mr K prefers the walk to Wells along the path that runs next to the pinewood that skirts the beach. Although that might have something to do with the fish and chips at Wells. Then we usually walk back along the beach and sand dunes. I must admit I do like that walk. Are dogs allowed on parkland?*I need to be back in time for tea (football actually, unless mobile signal is good. Any idea how good it is there?). Oh no, 25 miles to nearest Waitrose and nearest Starbuk's in King's Lynn 45kms.
Googled that.
Thanks for that. We know the fish and chip shop in Wells and used it in my previous existence - another example of Mr K's excellent taste . I like that area but also feel the need to become familiar with my new part of the world. I'm struggling to find any real love for it atm, except Newmarket. Once things settle I like Bury St Edmunds.Definitely dog friendly. I think about 3,000 acres of parkland. When I had my modified off road Nissan Patrol I had a CB, yes sad but I needed it when entering competitions. However it was one of the most useful tools for traffic conditions when travelling up and down motorways, A 10. 13 call in the direction you were going got me out of many traffic hold up. My handle was Swampy, given to me as I had managed to get seriously bogged down in an Irish Peat Bog, 4 tons of vehicle does not float across Irish Peat.
I like this @Muddy CyclistA long day emptying MILs life from her bungalow, camper van now full of memories to be sorted, stored, thrown away and forgotten for ever, how fragile and meaningless our collection of items can become. On the positive Daughter would like much of MILs furniture, antique but not valuable, crockery and more so remains in the family. MIL loved Willow Pattern and collected some very old pieces but also all the dinner sets are also Willow Pattern, so I decided this evening to do some art based on this, BUT failed miserably, too tired. However I dropped my brush and the resulting splodge is what I offer with a few tweaks, reminded me of some flower, not sure which and so sorry but that is my art for today...

Interesting effects!
Always good when family members can choose some keepsakes. good evening all
4.7 this morning
a sunny, showery, breezy day here and we managed to get our strimmed stuff raked up and bunged into trugs to take to Mum's for disposal tomorrow.
Tried making genuine egg custard this afternoon, and it took foreverneeded a bit of zen.
I was planning gooseberry fool but the neighbours to whom we gifted some blackcurrants left a punnet of their freshly picked strawberries on the doorstep
Now the custard has been mixed with double cream and some gelatine and poured into heart shaped moulds and is in the fridge chilling ready for tomorrow's lunch, should go well with the strawberries.
Hope your day is treating you kindly
@gennepher - ouchy!!! hope it settles down quickly and isn't too badly strained
but you have managed such a lovely plum tree/blossom painting despite being in pain.
@dunelm - very effective foliage with your chrysanthemumwhat does your 'chop' say?
@Muddy Cyclist - hugs to you and mrs MC, rest when and where you can, it's a difficult double whammy of physical and emotional work.
Must say though that even your brush splotches are fine and artistic
arty bit -
read somewhere about using cling film to add texture to things, so this is me starting to try it, didn't work quite the way I expected but it did add something to the foreground that I like
