good evening all :)

was 4.7 this morning

a howling gale here and rain early on but then a fine but very blustery day :)
over to mum's to pick up her shopping list, spent far too long picking over blackcurrants today, I listened to an audiobook but it still seemed very tedious, not enough 'zen' today obviously :)

On the plus side we did get a few more strawberries from our neighbour so we had them with a bit of double cream left over from the gooseberry fool production :D

@Alien Aspie - wonderful art works both, and welcome to the splash and scribble set :hilarious:

I find that having taken to watercolour is helping me to be a bit less 'detail oriented' in my art work.
I think I get that particular tendency from dad, his spelling was dire but he was a clever precision engineer who could pick up a set of plans and turn the finished 3d object over in his mind before it ever went near the workshop, (Mum was the language wonk ;) :D).

@dunelm - I love your latest zen painting, very authentic celestial mountains above the clouds and good depth of field ;)

@gennepher - wonderful, playful and impressively stylised dragons, I like both versions :joyful:

@Muddy Cyclist - The second of your 'gates' is my favourite I think and I really like your very free pencil heathland sketch, different but compelling all the same :joyful:
Thanks for the info on your pencils, I may pick some more up to have a go with shortly,

Sorry to be pessimistic, I would really like to think it will work, but I suspect not.

Edit... oh! And £50 to help with bike repairs, they must be joking!

Is it going to be safe, Muddy?
All that adipose tissue straddling a narrow saddle! It could be lethal even without other vehicles on the road.
I just have an exercise bike.
Are bikes going to go up in price? I dont think this is a well thought out strategy.

Good Morning and 5.9 for me today.

Early shopping adventure to Tesco at 6.30am. Then over to do more sorting at MILs bungalow so that's my day wiped out.

Get the best you can from your day, keep safe.

PS light here this morning is golden, painting trees against a dark cloudy sky, enlightening.

4.8 this morning. Relaxing with a coffee before the dog walk in the sunshine. Had a lovely day yesterday. Did lots of lesson planning and practising new exercises. Still haven't got the ok to start back in September from any of the halls I teach in - but it will be nice to be fully prepared for when they say ok.

Lost another quarter pound so am now 9st 13 3/4 lbs. So lovely to be in the 9s even if it is only just in the 9s.
