What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I do agree. Some days it definitely feels like my brain has gone into overload and blown a fuse.

I hadn't considered unfortunate as an alternative to the epithet CNN (Dana Bash around 4 mins) used to describe the 1st Presidential debate. Could be useful in future.

A very late morning for me, showing 6.2 on the scale. My aim today is to step back and chill out as I spent too much time in the early hours of the morning getting frustrated by things I can't change.

Enjoy your day

Hey @Alien Aspie
Hugs for you

PS Sometimes I go out in my garden and castrate a bush (can be very satisfying with things you cannot change...but bush always grows again even better...)
Or how about doing some topiary in her ladyship's garden...I could have fun with that one...

interesting link, thank you

THAT, as much as i am ashamed the world see johnson and his nonsense week after week and laughs at us,
would make me very ashamed to be American right now.

loud, obnoxious, rude..
and that's before we get into the deceitful, disrespectful & plain nasty

i think i have seen toddlers having melt downs in the sweet aisle behaving better then that.

sad to think we maybe now have this as being the norm.
something for the next gen of politicians to aspire to be...…,

twas a funny for the ravens..
nice to see you still got good humour

A WIN for the Can DO attitude
and a small hug..we're all here for you

but i think you've shown us ....you GOT this

I always need at least a night's sleep to get some humour back, though it can be a bit dark to start with @jjraak

You have a good day

as to ravens.

lauren in some dark humour always sees crows as the spirit of her mum, looking over us.

Neither of us au fait with bird breeds, but we see many large dark crow like birds
whenever we are away.

at first it bothered me she thought like that, but now i quite like she has that idea in her head.

perhaps yours too, are there offering support,

and not the harbingers of bad news ?

bgs 6.3
tempo ok.

lauren again not too good yesterday,
more age related then anything, but still i worry.
no temp, so that's good

stolen pets conundrum today.

Have surrogate doggie son as lady has gone away for a weeks hols.

so drop off Lauren to work.. after she walked the dog,

came home with dog (Frankie)...
and find Marley sitting on our doorstep.

so it was like a brian rix farce,

with me shutting dog in the front room, while i smuggled the cat into the toilet
released the dog to satisfy his need to sniff everything,
then popped him back into room,
released the cat to sniff everything, and fed him
then popped cat in bedroom to sit and sleep,
then dog back out, to sniff everything one more time,...

then dog out for a longish walk.

so my day sorted.
dull and overcast here, hope rain stays off.

expecting bad weather tomorrow, though

Always there are 5 ravens who fly over or visit my garden. Sometimes they make a heck of a racket. And I am still here many years later, so shall we assume they are supportive protective birds @jjraak

i was happy with a 6.1 this morning, i had a bit of a wobble at weekend. feels like everytime i have a bad day or make a bad choice my bloods go higher for 2/3 days and its so frustrating.

They fed Elijah bread and meat!

They truly are the king of the Corvids and a very early nester and very clever.
D.

I would not eat the meat they eat, when sheep are lambing they do a nice line in sheep afterbirth!

Hugs for Lauren x
And hugs for you
Fun day with the animals...musical chairs...and yes I remember the Brian Rix farces. I saw him on stage a few times. Although you didn't need to hear the words to understand the play, for some reason I was the only one in the audience that didn't laugh. But I can recall I was very interested and fascinated by the Brian Rix theatre plays and the doors.

Hi!
Welcome to this (slightly crazy) thread

I see the prospect of the Victorian hulks has come on the horizon.
What prat would put asylum seekers on disused ferries off shore?
Haven't they been traumatised enough?
D.

I had thought of that but it is raining. I need to get some old fashioned manual shears so I can clip away in the wet

EDIT nearly forgot. Welcome to the thread @Brokenbill enjoy your stay

We had our flu vaccinations at the local pharmacy this am.
Not as Covid secure as the surgery but ok and it was quiet.
I asked the pharmacist if it was the four or three pronged vaccine?
He said up to 65 it is the four pronged, then the older individuals get the combined three vaccines.
