Debs just thinking about it as I sip my coffee makes me feel queasy.Done that crossing almost every year of my life. Family from Dublin. The crossing can get very choppy. Passengers dropping like flies on more than one occasion!
@DJC3 - I find this T2D an endless puzzle - trying to work out what really works for me. Maybe (as my sister says) that I am a bit obsessive with my keto diet and record keeping but I find it endlessly fascinating that tiny tweaks to what I am doing can make a difference.
Not obsessive to be meticulous over managing a long term health problem which we all know can have very unpleasant consequences if ignored. The tweaking required is highly personalised IMHO and implies, to me, that there is an lc/keto spectrum for good control and personal satisfaction. Past medical history, co-morbidity, age plus at least height and weight must surely make a difference. The other point I have noticed is that whilst individual readings may vary wildly my own a1c numbers are quite tightly grouped over the last 4 years. Personally, I am unsure what good control means and how that fits alongside all other health markers.@DJC3 - I find this T2D an endless puzzle - trying to work out what really works for me. Thanks DJC I'm not moving today unless it's absolutely necessary...it's an old injury from my sporty days...so I know the cause as for the cure who knows?sorry to hear about your knee I hope your referral comes through soon. Take it easy today and enjoy that coffee.
Finally a dry morning! Not sure it will last though the clouds are very grey. 5.4 this morning. A stressful day ahead - A planning meeting for a Sunday school summer camp ( a week away with a dozen or so teenagers) The stress levels begin to build from here on in. I should be used to it by now this will be my 45th year but some of those were as a participant rather than a leader. It wouldn't be so bad if the government didn't keep adding red tape that we need to keep up to date with.
Take care
Gennepher - no they are not intrusive questions at all and I absolutely don't mind answering them. I am taking it in tablet form and I do agree that staggering the dose throughout the day seems to be the best way to take the Vitamin C rather than in one big dose. Although I must admit that I haven't staggered mine very well - taking 1000mg with breakfast, the same with my main meal and the 3rd one with a coffee.
I was worried about the body flushing the excess out and read this very interesting article by Patrick Holford https://www.patrickholford.com/blog/the-vitamin-c-pee-myth. He may be right - and I really hope he is because if not I am passing some really expensive wee.

@DJC3 - have the higher numbers coincided with stopping metformin or are you now taking it again? @PenguinMum ignore the blips and keep your eyes on the prize, you are doing fine. @Bildad what an amazing thing to do huge respect. @HarrisonK hug for the disturbed sleep.
Anyone feel like posting links to either lc friendly vit c or potassium/ multi vtamins please? TIA
Looks adorable. Will be fascinating to see the impact Dennis has on your bg levels and general wellbeing. I have a hunch your bg is about to improve. I seriously doubt that you are slapdash, just doing your best. Seems to me plenty of us stare at this Rosrach blot and see all sorts of hidden patterns and meanings which aren't actually there.I am excited to report we have a new addition to the family: Dennis a miniature schnauzer pup. It’s almost a year to the day since our feisty terrier Tilly died and we felt now was a good time for another doggy companion. He is adorable.
