Just listening to Lascia ch'io pianga; one of my faves sung by Bartoli...
I do enjoy a good alto. I am very fond of the French lady Nathalie Stutzmann check her out on YouTube especially some of the music with counter Tenor Philippe Jaroussky.

Here she is conducting and singing, I love the Bassoon part in this..

Enjoy

Good morning everyone from a bright and frisky start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of a nice bavette steak with a sort of celeriac mash up with greens and caramalised onions came in at a fine 5.1 this am. Had a couple of 3’s during the night - at midnight and at 3am - a rollercoaster time in the liver department.

We have the pleasure of hearing a site emergency alarm test from the Wilton site just up the road every Tuesday at 10am, shortly followed by an all clear. They have now decided that this alarm is out dated (veiled speech for why should we continue to look after it). So now, from April, each site resident company will be responsible for it’s own individual plant alarm - same day, same time - there’s progress for you - it will be like a cuckoo clock expo - can’t wait.

Art today - ink on rice paper - I probably should have stopped quite a bit earlier than I did. Oh well, it’s Friday and I hope that everyone has a good one. Koffy time.

The very piece we have arranged for the four Recorders, Soprano, Treble, Tenor and Bass, maybe keyboard also. I hope we do it justice, watch this space.

Congrats on your deal going well.
I'm sure it will be perfect.

Mr K is shopping in Aldi. Phoned him to ask him to get some cashew nuts as I had read earlier on another thread that they don't spike BS because of the resistant starch they contain.

Haven't had cashews since 2017. I do hope they don't spike as I used to love cashews.
Funky Nut Cashew Butter - I could slather it all over me, but have a teaspoonful on occasion instead. ....

Did you have raw egg in milk I your early days Ian?
When one was older it came with sherry in as well, all whisked up of course.
D.
This Ian did, but with Marsalla - like a zabaglione for beginners! I still love it, now without the sponge fingers:(

I would recoil in horror from that. It really is good we are all different as so much wonderful food has been created. In general my sweet spot is raw and either straight off the tree/plant with sun on or within 20 mins of picking. Another reason why this move is hard for me.

Did read that thread too @Krystyna23040

Interesting.
Do let us know how you got on

I like nuts, pistachio in particular
Not one I can just have one or two of, sadly.

Take two Brazil nuts most days, good in moderation *

But had given up cashews, so might well try and test those and see if they spike me

Missus bought roasted peanuts, been sneaking one or two ( :)) Seems they might be a no-no,
So be nice to have a fall back I can eat more safely.

I started them for point 7,
I wonder if point 6 might be worthwhile information for those with kidney issues ?

As for safety, see end of report
Not something I was aware of. (chocolate covered Brazil nuts back in the day..just have one .:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:)
1-3 daily is where I stick.

Wan has taken me up the hills before we head to dinner to celebrate a contract signed - sunset starting...

He was playing Whitney Houston in the Toyota Tank, and I almost sang "Wan Moment In Time"...

The Gulfstream is confirmed as arriving Tuesday night. Leaves at 1130am Thursday and a planned arrival 515pm same day...so I get home on birthday night for hugs with Arthur the dog and attacked by Gerald the cat as always..

Morning team BG.

Still cycling the 7 fbg numbers looking for the right access code to McGarrett plains.:banghead:

Update on physio.
Video link ended up as a mobile call ( no one sent link )
Went well
Most exercises I can do, so new ones now issued.

All going well but have two issue particularly.
Balance and descending steps

Seems balance is a whole body experience.
Sight, sound, nerves, etc.
I see it as an autopilot, where the brain is auto correcting the body constantly to compensate for shifts etc

My right leg worst, so new exercise is both feet flat on floor, then up on tip toe, eyes open and eyes closed....hold 30 seconds plus.
Repeat with single leg...

Simples, right :woot::arghh:

And stairs, I don't have enough movement/stretch in right ankle, so I can clank down steps, a little out of control.

Exercise is
Place toes at skirting board, press knee to wall.

Then inch back 5 inches repeat.

Leftie does as it's told, but rightee...jeessh

Just doesn't want to touch wall no matter how close ..

So that's me set until the April session.

Have a good un all.:).

Don't worry, as the Welsh might say, there wasn't a welcome in the hillside...

Poor Wan has me all day tomorrow showing me this fab city and its lesser known and touristy parts too...

Slow but progressing even if the air turns blue, as I suspect, whilst you are persevering with the exercise. :)

Cheers mate

Yes, all helping thankfully

Gone from 0- 60 (mins) to the loo.
To finding the smallest undulation in pavement when out hobbling about, worrying
To managing 7k steps, no aids, no worries.
Pavement or grass

Just these last two hurdles.

And then a month or two at gym, weights, stepping machines etc, then maybe back to running again..maybe..please god
