What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Surreal - but then so are dreams sometimes

Girl in a bubble studies seem to be going well. I have reached my second childhood and so may be able to help with 'babbling infant' talk.

Great birds again even if non traditional methods used.
Thank you @Muddy Cyclist - always amuses me that infants seem to be able to nod/ shake their heads in agreement and it all fits in - probably sound patterns but you never know.

Give them time - re-arranging the bathroom can take time for approval to be given.

Oh dear @Muddy Cyclist
Frogs will claim every scrap of water.
I have a bird bath on a pedestal that J bought me. Not one frog has been seen in that yet ..

That's good @Krystyna23040

You must be going to London, muddy!
Our eldest needs to get her violin repaired, the best and nearest repairer is in Blackpool but she can only get there now.

She is learning the Piano on line with a zoom course with a few others. The men on the course won't show off their skills using two hands to the class teacher!
But they were all beginners to start with.

Shopping at Lidl this am and was relatively quiet when we visited. Then washing the weeks groceries and putting it away, I shall be ready for lunch.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 5.1 this morning on that meter of mystery and deviousness.

Another busy early morening today, 2nd jab Mrs J had to drive me there and back to Tilehurst Towers, then we tackled doing home covid tests, it's amazing how stressfull things got, we watched the video and read the instructions twice, then a third time. Tests carried out, both negative thankfully, this afternoon we shall try to report the results.....more stress.

Then the phone made answer me noises, our eldest son and his wife who are moving house today wanted to come round and eat their lunch as they are in limbo, no I don't understand either, but round they came, lunch consumed and off they go.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers some nice paintings. Thank you for posting your artwork.

Remember the stays and arn't the news services narrow minded, but we must remember the stays.

Time to depart and tackle the covid reporting web site.

I'm well aware what caring people frequent this forum and hesitate to post this link but the situation in India would make a stone weep. There are links to 12 charities here should any of you feel inclined to donate but are uncertain where to do so. It is of course also in all our interests to see everywhere as COVID free as possible. https://inews.co.uk/news/world/indi...donate-charities-campaigns-second-wave-975851

Glad you had the 2nd jab. I agree registering results is initially a faff. Hope all goes well Mr J. Hug for the low for you fbg.

Salt Mills Shipley, Bradford. Google got the miles completely wrong, 222 miles round trip but so busy, I am glad I'm not on the roads working anymore.

Winner for Jab and negative result.

A long day on the road but Soprano Recorder left for service and new Treble acquired. In the shop we were the only customers and we were there 2 hours. So Mrs MC now owns a European Boxwood Treble/Alto Recorder, played four before finding the right one, now a lot of breaking in. 10 mins a day week 1 then 15mins then 20 mins before she can start playing it in earnest.

Managed to start new Watercolour when we got home. Idea of Spring Light in Beech Trees, a bit out of focus, sorry. Will finish Thursday with a bit of luck. A4 watercolour.....

Will need to do negative painting to try and get the yellow/green of the leaves to jump out.

good evening all

4.2 today

shops were a bit busier this morning but not too bad We've dropped off mum's shopping and stashed ours away so that's done for this week.

Lovely skies today, very 'painterly' sunshine and rain clouds scudding across a blue sky.

When we got home mr gee got a phone call inviting him for his 2nd jab on Friday

Hope your day is treating you well

@alf_Josiah - hope your 2nd jab settles well

@Muddy Cyclist - fine painting of Cader Idris, I like the way you bring colour in and the hints of the landscape in the distance work so well
Your next painting alreaady has a lovely light to it I must have a go at trying your layering technique.
Glad your trip was successful

@gennepher - Interesting, I think I will get some 'Bockingford' to try it seems to have a reputation for being a good allrounder, perhaps try some 'Rough' textured
Hope you managed to get that deserved sleep
You've painted a fine evocation of emotion in your painting today

art bit - Surprising the differences in how the various papers behave when you slap paint on them

Eldest lived in Bradford before she got married and we went to the art gallery in the Mill, and then went on to Howarth to the Bronte musuem. That was 30 years ago.
Time flies, it doesn't seem that long ago.

Late on parade.

a pleasing 6.3 this am..
a late dinner the culprit so have an excuse & happy with that

Horrid start to day.

missus left then texted me "Bird feathers on stairs, body on landing"
she'd been crying over it on way to work..

in my head i hear...
" i think there's been a Muurrder, said inspector Taggart "

i sweep and tidy as best i can.
last rites given & prayer said.

The main suspect returns bold as brass.
gets fed, in the hope he may confess..

how do you plead, asks the judge..."May have been me, May not have been.."
his swish of tail implies
Furry defendant pleads the fifth...mmmhhh

,,case not proven, M''Lud.

For those outside London, evening standard done a decent piece on

Paper choice - interesting results. I have a large quantity of very thin, unsized rice paper that acts just like blotting paper if I forget to keep brushed dry. Is there some texture to the paper that you used here? I like the water.
