What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A fine painting of a rainy day with a promise of brighter things to come, your handling of the many different ways the light is catching the land and water is very accomplished. I admire you trying different papers, I seem to have got stuck on just one type, must branch out.

I'm with you on the Mask front although I think as time goes on we will become the odd ones out.

Good Morning and 6.1 for me today. Again why, 5.5 before chicken salad last night and 4.5 after and still that at bed time.

No idea what the day is bringing.

Keep safe get time on your side.

Your liver and pancreas are playing the same games as mine are. I do wonder if our bodies are getting rid of some liver fat and stored glucose. If so it is better out of the liver - even though it means fbs is higher for a while.

I don't have much muscle these days - comparatively large neck still - so Lord knows if they are benefiting
Although too soon to notice whether muscles are building I have noticed that I feel stronger when doing my daily exercises and can do more rep s - which is a very positive sign.

Scuppered!

Just had an email saying the Choir and Quire we sing in CAN'T hire the Community Hall as GOV rules say only 6 people can sing indoors but much larger groups can apparently exercise. The hall is large, holds 200 for events our numbers are 8 in one Choir and 20 in the other.

Choir master is rebelling and we are now meeting in his garden so we could be singing in the rain.

The hall is In Rural Shropshire, no members come from high number Covid areas, most are local.

Now where is that umbrella.

Thank you for my painting compliments @geefull
I agree with not giving up mask wearing yet. I will continue to wear it.
I like your painting. You are doing very well experimenting with different papers and sizes. It is a matter, I think, to find paper that suits you, your style of painting, and the paint you prefer to use.
You have worked that painting very effectively. And I agree with what @dunelm has said about it.

Wednesday in The Brecks. A play in three acts by Mr Hoss Cartwright, starring Little Joe and Mr Jonathan Wham Bam Van-Tamm. Enter stage right a buffoon intoning a mystical chant: "cut the carbs, cut the carbs - meh. It's all gone Pete Tong." Act 1: Awake, arise, ablute, dress, descend stairs, make tea and unleash the mini Baskervilles. Act 2: Feed Baskervilles, vacuum, dust, disinfect and make safe the area for, now big gel of 2, granddaughter. Act 3: Settle down to view the rain watering our "special" lawn seed, sand and soil mixture - (perfect ratios allegedly) and a series of Disney movies. Meanwhile, our first born arrived today in 1986 when I was quite lithe and lissum. I hope the return to in person teaching goes well @Krystyna23040. @Muddy Cyclist singing in the rain, will Gene and Kelly be there? Great fbg again @karen8967 and amazing photos @lindisfel . Play nice chums, maybe don't share toys just now, wash your hands, wear a mask and maintain social distance.

I thought I would do a painting in ZenBrush3 app this morning.
I admit it was for quickness. Because I need to get on with the day. But because it has been so long since I've used it I have completely lost ability to use it. I had intended painting in a Chinese manner. But I ended up painting in a western manner. And the app didn't behave itself and carried on painting even when I stopped, and I'm watching it doing brushstrokes all over the place and I can't stop it.

So, here is my attempt for today...

Good morning everyone on what promises to be a warm and sunny bin day here in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of spiced chicken with tabhouleh came in at 5.4 this am

What’s going on with all these new driving rules - Amber is now stop, no stop, go, no go, prepare to book, don’t book. Green is OK but the nice places are still holding up red cards and Useless Eustace is babbling like a northern Svengali turned quisling. The bottom line is that yes, we have no bananas. The govt are now using travel guidance from that Mr Smoketoomuch Monty Python sketch called ‘Travel Agent’ but not mentioning the Watneys Red Barrel because it’s a bit woke.

Anyhow, as you can guess, the planet made another spin and Eos opened the gates and Helios rides his chariot and that’s the only certainty we need. Oh! And a second jab booked in for Saturday.

Another little 6x4 on some form of grass paper - no, not Rizla+, which is rice (Riz La Croix). Have a merry old Wednesday - soon be the weekend. Koffy time.

Funny for the ZenBrush3 app making an argument about style and also substance. I didn’t know (or had forgot if you previously mentioned) that version 3 gave more than just black and red. Lovely mountains.
