Good morning everyone from the dangerous position of no rain here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of “calm down vicar it’s only for a while “ came in at 6.2 again - grrr!
Rain stopped play yesterday (one of the things I picked up watching the cricket with my grandfather as a child). Finally (sic) sorted out all the books only to find another collection that had declared UDI as a library in their own right and at the time of discovery, already discussing hierarchy of text. Hopefully that is now done and two crates of books are now destined to be read (or flicked through if lowly recipe books) by other, appreciating eyes. Not sure about The Satyricon thought - sorry Petronius but it does go on a bit and how did I every come to have it anyhow? I did though find something titled “Make Your Own Working Paper Clock” and prefaced of course by Asaac Asimov (of course!). Looks complicated. The pages are stiff card with complicated shapes printed on them. The last sentence in the prefaces reads, “My impulse, though is to urge you to buy tow, or even three, copies of this book, since your second clock, constructed with the experience you gained with the first, will be better than the first; and the third will be better still.” - Asimov the marketing executive. I shall keep it for something to do during the next lock down.
Art - interpretation of another photo from the web with a couple of additions. Hope that you all have a marvellous Mittwoch. Must go and put the bins out and then make a well deserved koffy.
