Does that neighbor ever stop? We did a lot of work earlier in the year but discussed it with our neighbours on either side of us first and kept them up to date. Lovely kaleidoscope.Fbg 6,7
Yesterday, Fort Knox Fence neighbour of the long Tarmacadam driveway had yet more workmen in. A pile of them, making yet more noise. If I wasn't so tired through having not much sleep, I would have gone out for the day.
So, off came my cochlear hearing processor, and I was listening to the land of tinnitus in my head yesterday...
I appear to have a lot more sparrows visiting, hence the bird food and fatballs was gone by midday. This is more than they eat in Winter.
Mrs Bluetit is always flying in, keeping the bird population in order.
Caught up on sleep now.
Creative is a kaleidoscope in Laboscope pointed to somewhere in my bedroom.
A quick nap, then get on with the day...
An iced drink next...

That all sounds positive. Even the tiredness is a good tiredness just a shame about the pain. The plan sounds excellent so I hope nothing derails your relaxation and peace.Morning all.

Yesterday off to hand therapy.
Must admit the last few weeks have been my best since accident
So quite chipper at meeting compared to last hand appointment, which was post "leg still broke" bad news.
Discussed and I explained I seemed to be giving bad news too much importance, and have decided to celebrate each success, no matter how small, with the attention it deserves...seems to be working, for now.
And Hand finally showing decent improvement.
The work of the lovely lady helping me,
The mysterious qualities of silicone &
The introduction of the body massager
All taking a well earned bow
Grip right v left was 41 /11
Now it's 42/20.....
And all other metrics up, too
(Device measures finger joints/wrist/etc)
Could manage to actually make a fist (albeit very weak...but it IS progress)
After, I popped into work, colleague returning for good to Poland
Missed his leaving drink, so we had a few shandies to see him off.
Long old day, and once home tiredness hit me, legs just exhausted, I think from being on them a lot more then normal.
Early night & glad of it
Out like a light.
Early wake up a bit more pain then normal.
Price worth paying & possibly a good sign that nerve damage etc is starting to settle down & pain receptors have renewed or rerouted, hence the raised awareness ..(I hope )
Marley been a frequent visitor of late, again
Sadly for him, today we're looking after nephews Bichon Frisé...so Marley won't be happy to find yet another dog when he comes knocking ..lol.
But he still get his little feed, but outside rather then in.
Other then that plan is to relax and just enjoy a peaceful day
Happy Friday everyone.
Enjoy your day
Morning all.

He never stops, and never says anything about any work he is having done. No warnings. Pretty much all the work he has had done on a frequent basis since 2020, has been horrendous as regards noise, and the tarmac work recently really took the biscuit. If I said on here what I thought of him on here, this site would award me more stars than I ever received at school.Does that neighbor ever stop? A brilliant hillside of trees @dunelmGood morning everyone on another cool and overcast day. Five of our grandchildren have now skedaddled on holiday, three to Bude in Cornwall and two to Southern Spain. I think that the Cornwall Three are off to Tintagel today. We have been assured (is that the word) that it’s raining outside but so far, not a drop. Still, that assurance is such a comfort. Is Micheal Fish still influencing our weather? Commonwealth Games opening ceremony last night - oh dear, I wonder who signed that off. Withstood it for nearly 15 minutes before I had to turn it off and take to drugs, fags and booze - and I don’t even smoke. I hope that the actual games themselves, the important bit, goes well.
Art - some foliage added to yesterdays bare trunks and a bit of padding out. Hope everyone is well and all the best for this current Friday. My koffy is now brewed so toodle pip.

Thanks @ianpspursGood morning all here in the UK and good evening? @Jojo85. Clear azure sky here in The Suffolk Dustbowl. This region is one of the UK's driest and this July has apparently been the driest since 1911 when the 1910 Budget began to impact The Elite of the time having, perhaps, laid the foundations of the welfare state. No, Lloyd George didn't know my Great Grandfather. A favourite book of mine back in the day was The Strange death of Liberal England. Summer and salmon salad day here so thanks be to God for that and so much else. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Holkham, even the long trek to the beach. @gennepher hug for the noise from that neighbour with incredibly deep pockets and thanks for the kaleidoscope. @dunelm thanks for sharing your art and I hope those grandchildren make magical memories to share with you and Mrs Miggins. Good fences make good neighbours (Robert Frost) and ours are having their's replaced or repaired to save me trying to stop the parts still intact blowing down in the next storm. The properties on either side are rented to US service people and this one is owned by a church in a nearby village.
I absolutely agree @gennepherI have an ignoramus of the highest order either side of me. Both of them are morons.
Very well spotted @dogslifeGood morning all. No fbs test this morning as I had my HbA1c blood test yesterday afternoon. Whilst I was in the doctor's surgery Mr. D collected my repeat prescription from the chemist's next door. When we got home I proceeded to put my medication into my weekly tablet organiser. When I opened my box of Bisoprolol (Beta blockers), I noticed that the label had been placed on a box of Felodipine ( blood pressure tablets) by mistake. We drove back to the chemists as I am supposed to take my beta blocker with breakfast and I had none left for this morning. The chemists had just closed as it was early closing day! So up early this morning to be at the chemist's for opening time. All now sorted, apologies from the pharmacist and correct tablets supplied. Just concerning that had I not noticed I could potentially have been taking twice as many blood pressure tablets and no beta blockers for the next month. Both boxes for "dispensed by" and "checked" had been signed. I always check the contents of my prescription bag before leaving the chemist's but only look at the sticky labels. Note to self to also check the name on the tablet boxes too. Best wishes that you all have the kind of day you are hoping for.
All moving along nicely.Morning all.
