What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Oh dear...I hope the mug (for your tea/coffee) survived intact @alf_Josiah

I hope you don't have too many bruises...

Gentle hugs...

Went to Freeman hospital at Newcastle but there is still power in my pace maker so they will check the battery again late January.

Was at Carlisle hospital Tues and saw the colo-rectal surgeon. Mr Salem, what a nice guy. He feels I have too many things wrong to have a camera up so will do it with a CT scan and contrast medium plus a small public enema No2.

Poor Foxy. He is trying so hard to be friends with Midnight.
There are four other foxes that visit my garden.
This particular fox appears to want to be on friendly terms with Midnight (cat). Midnight has no intention of being friends.
Yet this same fox tries again and again and again...all in one night...

Fox - I want to be friends. Midnight (cat) - I DON'T!
You need the sound on in YouTube to hear Midnight's savage response...

Creative is Foxy Loxy...who would love to be friends with Midnight...

Good luck with the CT scan. Will you glow?

Poor Foxy Loxy but what a magnificent glass like piece of art.

Good morning everyone on a most pleasant start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. There are stretching exercises to do in a while but they are in a queue - it’s all very British. Week one of the back pain course went well and we resume on Monday. Girl in the bubble here this morning so it’s cafe culture at it’s best. Art bit - colour added so best think about what to do next. Have a fabulous Friday if you can, remember to pace yourself. I shall begin with a koffy.

@dunelm, you show us day by day, how you go about the artwork but I still don't know how you achieve such an amazing effect. Pure genius!

Very cold this morning. Both the weather and me. Alistair had a bad cold a couple of weeks ago but I managed to stay clear of it but Em caught it from him and was here yesterday after school with a really bad, chesty cough. Today, I've got it. Makes already problematic breathing even worse. Also have ringing in mhy ears. That happens occasionally and I usually assume that it is due to high blood pressure, but I was feeling so poorly this morning that I actually checked my BP and it was, for me, not bad. Maybe something to do with lack of oxygen.

Anyway, BG is being a bit strange. Last night BG was 5.5 and dropping so I figured I'd have to have something to stop the drop. For some reason I decided on a couple of squares of milk chocolate from the baking stash. Yuk! Bed just after 10pm - very tired. Awake at 1.45am. Got up for a while (painkillers, tea). BG 14.9. Back to bed until 6.0am. BG 13.4. More painkillers (twice within 4 and a bit hours is not good). More tea at 7.30am. BG 12.5 and falling. This is contrary to the way things have been going recently - probably the cold.

I set the heating thermostat at 14 to make sure it doesn't kick in until it gets pretty cold inside the house. It has kicked in this morning and I am sitting at my desk beside a little convection heater to get some extra heat in the kitchen and wearing a jumper and a heavy, knitted poncho over the top. Could do with wearing gloves as well, but I can't type in gloves. Did I say it is very cold this morning? I might have some tomato soup for breakfast to warm me up.

Mr K is better today but still feels a bit lethargic. Good that he was much more sensible than me and rested after his jab. Mowing lawns would definitely not have been a good idea.

An eating window between 7am and 3 or 4pm works best for me. It is so interesting how we are all so different.

For me eating something high fat works well but not if I eat it with something high carb. Of course we are all so different and the only way to know if your body is OK with this is to check with your meter.

You were really lucky that there was no damage to you. The chair has well and truly disintegrated.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are suffering the trials and tribulations of feeling not so good and having to traipse backwards and forwards to various hospitals.
Blood sugars this morning were 6.4.
My picture on yesterday’s post, the broken chair, yes I was sitting in it when it broke, the mug was safe and yes no after effects. Thanks all and I hope you saw the humour in the post.
Now I must depart and cause mayhem and chaos elsewhere, oh and try to loose a bit of weight, I can’t keep breaking chairs.
Stay safe all.

Hope you feel a lot better very soon @Annb. There are some really horrid cold viruses going around at the moment.

Good morning all on Super Salmon Salad Day here on the peculiar envelope at the edge of the larder of England within the Exotic East. Obviously cooler in the mornings but Hive still shows living room temperature >19.5 with no heating used and 21/22 by evening. @dunelm I guess this is playing on loop - the cafe should keep TGIB satisfied. The latest art is truly wonderful. Thank you so much. @gennepher such a shame Midnight and Foxy Loxy can’t become friends but never say never. Thanks for the creative. (Song Lyrics here) @Annb gentle hug for the bg roller coaster, cold and pain now topped with a cough. Whilst it is a blessing to be part of the lives of grandchildren they are an obvious source of ailments. Take care and stay as warm as possible. @lindisfel I hope the scan goes well and there is a useful outcome. @Krystyna23040 good news on Mr K feeling better. I agree we all have preferred patterns of IF but our eating window seems about the same. LC food is by and large such a turn off now or I would probably eat earlier. My body seems to prefer some cardio then something like CWC first thing but the cardio is limited to maybe 3k steps just now. My favourite UK option is exercise bike, shower, morning worship, CWC. Depending on the results of treatment I hope to revert to that. Have as good a day as you can.

6.2 this morning. It is lovely to have an easier week as the last two weeks were much too hectic. It is so nice to relax a bit more than usual. I need to be stricter with my diary.
This was my new year's resolution in January - as it has been every January for the last 22 years. Obviously I am not good at keeping new year's resolutions.

Glad #chairgate hasn't dented the enthusiasm for a life of mayhem and chaos in one of yourselves. Is that a united cabinet though?
