What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hope you are feeling better by now

Understand about checking ingredients on labels because I had two milk intolerant children. Was amazed how many foods contained milk once I started looking for it. Was in sausages; chicken slices; even beefburgers as well as the usual suspects of biscuits cakes and bread.
Thank you @SlimLizzy

Yes an ingredient that doesn't agree with you can be found almost everywhere when you look.

I have just discovered on my Apple devices that if I delete photos and paintings etc, and then delete them totally from the deleted album (I keep my photos in an album as well, it's easier to find the series I am working with eg videos, paintings etc), then they are irretrievably gone as it tells you they are when you delete. BUT accidentally this morning, I pressed the empty folder (I hadn't got round to deleting the empty folder itself), and guess what? That took me to a locked recently deleted folder (that was supposedly irretrievably deleted). I had to put my password in which unlocked this folder, and guess what again? I could retrieve everything on the photo album that I had irretrievably deleted from my Apple device in the last 30 days. But, this is dependent on me having not deleted the actual empty album. Because once you delete every thing from the deleted album, that folder vanishes until you delete more items.

This is a useful feature if I have done a mass deletion, and deleted them immediately from the deleted folder, and then thought, oh wotsits I have deleted irretrievably an important screenshot! But it seems to access this feature I need at least one empty folder that I have deleted the contents of within the last 30 days, and then irretrievably deleted to create more space. But unknown to me I could still access them....

I am going round in circles trying to explain this...

Good morning everyone which it obviously isn't for everyone except in that we are all present if neither totally correct nor woke in the contemporary sense. Yesterday was rainy, dark and distinctly cool here but today is at least dry. Another negative LFT (RATS would have been better) so thanks be to God. Interesting issues of what and how much to eat, which are currently of major importance for a few in this thread,. This morning I was - probably virtue signalling which for me I think is all IF/LC may actually be - thinking how perverse it is for me to be spending so much time deliberating about the macronutrients, nutes, vits and timing of meals when millions in the uk and worldwide wonder if they will eat or drink anything at all. I'm certain me letting my T2 rip will not fill a single empty belly though. Staying above ground and helping if I can plus praying is my plan for that*. Freezing carby food and crumpets? Didn't The Threadfather used to have much lower fbg the mornings after - unfrozen- crumpets? @dunelm you have excelled yourself with that masterpiece thank you so much. Coal as a Christmas present? Allegedly the homesteaders of wild Alaska think that is just the job - have chainsaw will log sorts the log issue. @gennepher we have wooden furniture but modern uk houses are largely chimney free zones so no open fire or stove here but watch this space. Elsewhere as if the world wasn't in enough trouble Trump feels we need more. Many in this Close may be cheered by that but the prospect of him being POTUS again does appear to me like something out of the dark side of Daniel's dreams or Revelation. Do what you gotta do today ever mindful of Psalm 31 V15*.
Thank you @ianpspurs and for the reminder to service the chainsaw. “If you go down to the woods today….” MOT - smashing

Good happy national bin day Morening ladies and gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.1

If it is not damp where you are me, me’s and myself could arrange to send you some, remember we have a hosepipe ban.

If I am lucky this morning I might get taken food shopping, if I am luckier I might get banished to the koffy shop, wow a morning of excitement beckons.

Must sign out now Mrs J is moving about and I am her early morning tea wallah, living under her thumb, her wish is my command…….

Delete, delete, not delete, not deleted, OMG - deleted! Smashing artwork. Loving these

Good morning everyone from deluge central here in the dark and dangerous north. Still, the garden bin has just been emptied by those nice chaps in their soggy orange outfits. Now we just need the recycling bin done and we can creep out with out wellies and sou'westers on and retrieve the empty bins - or not! I got instructions yesterday on how the carpet cleaning machine works - a full on 2 minute session which included a carefully constructed sentence that included the words “also” and “rugs” - who knew! Very dual purpose. Anyhow, that’s the large rug in the sitting room done. The rest will have to wait until I am administered smelling salts. Bets are being made about just how many footy supporters will end up filling up the gaols of catarrh in the categories of a, falling out of a footy stadium drunk or b, trying it on with a rainbow t-shirt. We have added the words “World Cup” to our smart TV programme blocker. Art bit - another starter for 10. Have a wonderful day if you can. I shall drink koffy and watch the weather washing our car and watering the garden.

Another potentially dangerous corridor?

BG 6.5 - That was at 1.30 am and after it dropped low last night and I had a jelly baby to give it a bit of a lift.

Took some pills to allow me some movement, had a cup of tea, tried to watch TV to relax but there was nothing I wanted to see - I used to enjoy Diners, Drive Ins and Dives but at that early hour I need to keep the sound down and I can't hear what is being said unless volume is turned up almost to full.

BG 12.9. Went back to bed and woke at 5.15. BG 16.9.

For FBG take your pick.

Just waiting for my cleaner to arrive - everything up off the floor, bed made, bins emptied, dishwasher emptied from early hours wash and refilled with things that didn't fit in first time. They'll wait there until the machine is either filled to the brim or tomorrow in the early hours. We don't have cheaper power in the early hours, so I don't know why I bother doing it that way - just to be in the habit in case a cheaper off peak electricity is introduced, I suppose, but if I didn't turn it on that once, we would run out of cups. Using hot water from the tap unnecessarily isn't allowed until we have a full tank of oil, so no washing of cups by hand. I do the same with the washing machine - it's actually quite useful being up in those early hours.

Hello everyone on a very wet, dull and unappealing day here in the far from Exotic East. What rabbit will Jeremy the sugar puff bear pull out of his hat? Scrapping HS2 would be a start but does he have the minerals? @gennepher I hope the food work goes well. Good news on the non deleted files. Thanks for sharing, well gifting us actually, another colourful creative. @dunelm thank you also for piquing my interest in just how your latest artwork will finally delight my eyes. Carpet shampooer badge earned - have you sewed it on yet? Once that chainsaw is fixed you should be busy felling, bucking and stacking logs whilst singing a cheery tune
By 10.00 am the boiler had been serviced, all fine and apparently a splendid model, by a spiffing British Gas chap. He was absolutely apoplectic over the advice to turn down the boiler which has resulted in lots of call outs to fix systems. The man from Milton Keynes had delivered viands for we two and MIL. World Cup in Qatar is approaching and offers another episode of the moral maze. Far too easy to simply virtue signal and advertise to the world I am ignoring for human rights issues. Fine if your usual stance is never to watch football. @Annb early morning dishwasher and washing machine duty sounds like a very cold operation hence the hug. Enjoy your day as much as you possibly can.

Oh joy! The men digging out the ditch (requested by car drivers who haven't the sense to slow down when they see a 3" deep puddle) seem to have cut through our water supply. No water in the tap for drinks. Until it's fixed it will have to be full strength fruit juice or milk. In fact, we were quite happy for them to be working on the ditch but Neil did explain to them where there were pipes/field drains/sewer to try to avoid. He's just hotfooted up the road to find out what's happening.

6.2 this morning. Rain bucketing down. Mr K has kindly offered to run me in to Norwich this evening and take me home as he knows I was dreading the country lane detour in the dark and the rain. As I am only teaching for 3 hours he will probably while away some time in B&Q
Mr K sets the bar impossibly high for we mere mortals but it is always good to know the standard to which we should aspire. This is something you have mentioned before and includes some useful exercises people can do at home: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/news/202...them-could-help-cut-gym-time-study-shows.html

My parents have headsets that connect wirelessly to their TV - 1 each with separate volume controls. Sennheiser I think.

How very gold starndard and top marks for Mr K. Wonder if he will be buying an engine hoist, one of those fancy combo drill sets a big chain saw or a Black Friday mega-deal on the lot.
