6.0 this morning. It was so lovely to be chauffeured home from work last night.
Mr K has worked out a really good diversion route for me. All of it on main roads and much shorted than the diversion route that I was doing on those horrible narrow winding country roads. So, no more stress over the roadworks.

Morning all on the day after a massive distraction burglary by a silky smooth conman. His boss sold inflation linked national debt and won't windfall tax banks so the poor must pay. There is no black hole. https://www.theguardian.com/comment...ings-on-jeremy-hunts-autumn-statement-cartoon. Wet here overnight but now dry, calm and relatively mild so no heating yet. Our youngest grandson should be here later with his sister so at least one radiator may need to spew out £100 notes. At 1 and 3 they don't derserve to pay for Austerity, Brexit, Johnson,Truss and Sunaknomics - but pay they will for their entire life.. Salmon salad day today here- hurrah. Yesterday I consumed a very small slice of JKP's sourdough with my Six 5 Special meal (my childhood favourite:~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six-Five_Special) - divine dahling. Slept like a log, stress management score super duper and resting heart rate good. When I do eat more carbs that has always happened but the form of carbs I would actually enjoy now has changed radically. @gennepher hug for the drenching yesterday. It was wet and cold here as well. The school pickup wasn't a fun packed event. Thanks for the creative. I like the colours of autumn but I'm no fan of the weather and temperatures. Pre-LC I was a huge fan of hearty autumn and winter food. Still grieving the loss of cassoulet and casseroles in general. Hot LC food is basically the pits but my Food Fairy is having another try tomorrow. @dunelm thanks for the latest installment of just how intriguing can that guy's art be? Happy birthday GIB. @Annb hug for your pain and Em's illness. Our oldest grandson was sent home from school Wednesday and stayed in bed here until rescued by mum. He is 10 tomorrow so his party at Laser Quest is in doubt. @Krystyna23040 glad you liked the article. I need to be doing those exercises. @alf_Josiah I'd have thought eccentric anything would be like mother's milk to you. Do have a great but very low energy consumption day.

That was a very interesting article. I've copied the link and will take it for Kirsty Wade (our Move More person) to check out next Monday when I see her (Yes That Kirsty Wade). I thought it was quite amusing when the very young doctor I saw on Tuesday checked my pulse and actually jumped saying "That's a very strong and steady pulse you have there". It always has been - medics have commented on it in the past. Good genes, I guess. That's one bit of me that works anyway.

Em's still out like a light - must be about 31/2 hours now. I will have to put the convector heater on in the kitchen before she wakes up. I have a big fleecy "Oodie" on, so am quite warm, but she will be feeling cold after sleeping. Has anyone heard of a strange virus going around children or is it just a Western Isles phenomenon?

Had a crazy BG level last night. Dropped to 53mg/dl (2.94) the minute i fell asleep and stayed down there until minutes before waking at 06.30, whereupon it went up to 78 (4.4). Due to worry over low level last night, had a milky coffee and some fried bread tomato and bacon for breakfast... BG shot up to 148 (8.2) at peak 3.5 hours after eating, then fell. So it takes more than 2.5 hours for full reaction to food. Will skip lunch and have small carbs for dinner.

Thanks. Best day? It is autumn, I eat LC, have a basket of deplorable conditions, live in a dystopian era, in surely the most bizarre area of Ingerland and Spurs play Conteball BUT within that framework salmon salad, grandchildren, tea and JKP are rich blessings indeed. So maybe not best but sufficient unto the day. New every morning .....- search youtube for the hymn, an Audrey Assad song of that name if'n you feel so inclined or ignore me. The world is your Lobster.

If he did he has kept very quiet about it :)
Be prepared when you see it for ...
"This old thing ?
No, I've had it ages .. "

It's what I used to get during madames, "not going shopping, just popping out for 6 hours to the shops" non shopping, shopping sprees .

Now it's all done online, so gee, thanks Mr Bezos....;)

That is obviously your best day @ianpspurs despite dystopian society, and you do have blessings within it...

Bed at midnight last night but awake again by 1 am. Gave up and got up just after 2 am. New places been hurting for a month or so but last night they were bad. Pills and once they started to kick in, getting the dishwasher going. I am going to break my fast earlier today to try to avoid BG rising too far. Mornings are always the worst for BG. Started out at 5.8 and rising gradually to 8.9 so far.

Em is going to spend the day with me. She's been off school for several days, as have others at her school, with some sort of very odd condition - kids just can't wake up. Dragged out of bed after a solid night's sleep, they are more like zombies than children and given half a chance, they fall asleep again. That continues throughout the day. No temperature, no stomach symptoms, no headache, no obvious reason. Em has improved, but she's still not fit to go to school. Her mum has to start work in Stornoway at 7 am and her dad has to start work in Stornoway at 8 am. They will both be out most of the day. So here she has to be.
Be careful Ann you need to get your sleep, it will play havoc with your health and diabetes, if you don't sleep.
I didn't sleep from last November for c.six months and it made me seriously ill and I am still trying to get over it. I could sleep every afternoon now after lunch and my weight is normal and I sleep at night.
Regards
Derek

My mother used to do that as well. She would go to the shops, buy something and put it away where Dad wouldn't find it and months later would feel free to get it out saying "This? Oh, I've had it for months, you just haven't noticed it before." ;)

I do sleep but it's in fits and starts. Arthritis means I can't stay in bed for more than 2 or 3 hours usually; sometimes more, sometimes less. But then, once I've moved, the pain reduces and I doze off in that kitchen chair for another couple of hours and, possibly, another hour later. Oddly, that's one of the few things the doctor I saw didn't criticize. Maybe it was one too many things he could think of recommending something different for.

I once ‘nipped’ up to Newcastle as some bike shop had fancy Schuberth helmets going for half price. When I got back Mrs Miggins asked if I was pleased with my new purchase and how much did it cost. “£6,500” I replied - seems expensive now but they did throw in a nice second hand BMW R1200RT - cruise control was interesting.

Good morning everyone on another early rise here in the dark and dangerous north - 0450 - what’s that all about? Little Miss Pamplemouse and the Ninky Nonks are due to arrive at about 1100 and this afternoon we are all going over for The Girl In The Bubble’s third birthday bash - themed on scenes from the film Time Bandits or is it that “please sir, I want some more” from Oliver Twist.
Art bit, scribble, scribble. Have a great day if you can, there is a beer festival in town that I am determined to give a miss to. Time for koffy.

Fbg 7.1

On the wildlife trail camera...
Cat, Midnight, watching 2, maybe 3 foxes
He is watching them very closely...

Someone is up there with a permanent watering can on my garden, and every now and then the water is tipping it down. Please stop, it is growing far too much...

The sparrows however, love the rain, gleefully flying and eating at the fat ball feeders. As do the other small birds that fly with them.

Creative is a digital painting of autumn, but this is the soggiest autumn I have known.
The water effect is achieved with the ocean brushstroke in Procreate. I have used it for hair as well...

Time for a cuppa...

I love the autumn colours and the way they reflect on the water @gennepher
