Incredibly lucky @Krystyna23040 or I would not be sitting here in my own bed now....You were really lucky @gennepher
You have a good day, and a safe day @Krystyna230406.0 this morning. Archie has had a very severe stomach upset. He seems to be ok now and is fast asleep on his bed in the conservatory - but we didn't get a lot of sleep last night.
Last day of classes today - hopefully brain will work ok today.
The winner is for honesty which will deliver far better outcomes mentally and for bg than the inane Boostersim pandemic currently circulating uncontrollably.Oh blimey its looks like jack frost has sprinkle lots of frost today, its booming freezing! BG this morning 6.6 definitely not working out today. Hubby says I am grumpy but says it in a endearing way so as not to cause an argument - from me! I know I should not grumble as there are lots of people a lot worse off and to some extent I am very lucky. I just find it really difficult this year and I am fed up with taking my sugar readings also. I haven't fallen off the wagon and don't intend to, but I do feel I need to cut myself some slack and admit to myself that its okay to feel not okay with the time of year and stuff that's happened in the past that makes me feel pants. The one good thing about all this is that my appetite has completely gone, so I may get to the 5s again yesterday my BG was 5.9 so there can be a positive out of a negative
Get that safety rail made AlfGood Morening Ladies and Gentlemen from a positively more or less tropical Tilehurst Towers, of course this is dependant on your point of reference.
This mornings reading was 5.3, if we drop the decimal point 53 is a prime number and of totally no significance to this thread and posting.
Have you all got plans for today, mine are in the early stages and will be subject to scrutiny and if lucky stamped approved in triplicate.
I made some months ago a safety rail for next doors drive, with the intention of making one for my drive, but sillily used the materials for our safety rail, to make yet another planter for Mrs J. The rail is now becoming top priority and will mean another trip to the wood shop, but that will have to be started next week. Such is life, the universe and everything.
Have a great day all, remember with fondness the days last summer when the temperatures were in the mid thirties. Oh to be that age again.
Now I need safety koffy, lots and a session with a head shrink, no not those tribes from Papa New Guinea that used to shrink heads, but those with letters before and after their names and can talk nonsense for hours.
Stay safe all.
Yes @ianpspursThanks for sharing your gift of art despite the various sub-optimal factors limiting peace in mind and body. @gennepher and @dunelm . My assumption is the process takes you both to a place of peace and calm. But what do I know, what do I know?@dunelm take it easy on that leg, be careful on the paths and beware the wily farmers market traders. Even those with short arms and deep pockets have foundered on the perilous rocks of some silver tongued, bucolic enchantment. @Krystyna23040 hug for lack of sleep and special strokes for Archie. @SlimLizzy I would say you should change your name to Very, Very Busy Lizzy. @lindisfel hug for Marjorie's leg issues and the worry caused to you both. This is so sad https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...world-cup-2022-heart-attack-soccer-journalist especially when a whole Basket of Deplorables seem to be defying medical science and nutritional advice whilst merrily causing mayhem.
Thank you so much. They are wonderful. So kind and so very typical of you.Yes @ianpspurs
It does with me. It's a way of centering mysyself ....

Brilliant, as usual gennepher. I know it has the wrong number of segments, but the second one is very much like a snowflake. The first one like the impact of a snowball.Yes @ianpspurs

Ended up going by car but wandering round the market and town centre was fine.I well remember those sort of cramps....ouch
Hoping it calms down & the walk is bearable .
Thank you @gennepherI can see the horizontal walkway now @dunelm
Hugs for the calf muscle.
Be careful on the icy pavements.
I started to take a dive yesterday on the skating rink pavements, but two very alert burly workmen grabbed me...so you be blinking careful on the skating rinks.
Have a good day.
Thank you @ianpspurs and yes, my art sessions are a great therapy. Like a true Yorkshireman, each penny needs turning three times before parting with it but we did get a few choice treats including two fine sourdough loaves which I have now cut into slices and put into the freezer. Thanks for sharing your gift of art despite the various sub-optimal factors limiting peace in mind and body. @gennepher and @dunelm . I used to reckon the only time you heard, "It's my round" in Yorkshire, was when it was heard from a pub just over the border in an adjacent county.Thank you @ianpspurs and yes, my art sessions are a great therapy. Hi Dunelm, I see there is an adult King Eider male off shore at Redcar with the Common Eider flock. Winds from the High Arctic seem to bring these birds south. What a treat, I do like these.
This is Stanley, Co Durham in February 1963 - proper snow.Shopping again this am.
Posted cards in Wigton and paid credit card bill, then off to the garage to get some petrol in Fabia.
I see diesel is down a bit, now in mid 160s a litre and petrol in 150s. The garage has a nice little mini market must be a little goldmine. It was time to replenish our eggs to carry us over to early next week.
A little misty for Cumbria today and light snow falling on way home.
Nothing like the winter fogs in Lincolnshire in the 50s when bus conductors had to go in front of buses as an extra pair of eyes to keep the bus on route.
D.
Now then, si’thi.I used to reckon the only time you heard, "It's my round" in Yorkshire, was when it was heard from a pub just over the border in an adjacent county.
