What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It is. From my kitchen window I can see across fields to Broad Bay and the Minch beyond and on a good day, the hills on the mainland with the light and then the sun coming up. Even more spectacular when the mainland hills are covered in snow.
Had a Google of Minch... interesting.

Then got to read about the blue men.

Fascinating stuff .

Good morning all, the week seems to have rushed through to another Friday.
It looks like next week will bring a few cold days which will give the countries rivers a chance to fall back to more normal levels.

The suggestion that Exxon covered up climate change whilst their scientists knew otherwise is now being publicised.

6.3 this morning. Have noticed that since I went back on low carb as well as blood sugars not being scarily high my resting heart rate that went up to the 80s has now dropped back into the 60s. Also acid reflux has stopped.

I would have been OK if I had only indulged in Christmas treats for 3 days. 3 weeks was a step too far. Lesson learnt - or more accurate 'lesson re-learnt'.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Yesterday a straight 7.0 another of those pesky prime numbers and this morning a 6.5.

Not sure about the weather and or wether Mrs J has tasks for me, me’s and myself. I have a couple of woodworking jobs that I could start subject to etc, etc, etc.

Now I must go and make my dearly beloved a morning cup of tea and possibly cook my breakfast.
Such a mundane life in Tilehurst Towers, but on the positive we are having lunch with friends today, oddly enough at lunchtime hehehe

Stay safe, stay warm and if in doubt chicken out, a phrase that kept me alive when I used to fly hangliders in the mid 1970’s.

Nighttime wildlife...
The night of the foxes with Cat Jade watching...

The dog fox is more interested in shiny foil containers than in his missus, who gives him a hint of what she would like...

Creative went wrong. My fault. I was painting in ZenBrush3, but I forgot I was wearing my yellow tinted glasses which affects my colour perception. I thought I was doing a silhouette in black. But when I took my yellow tinted glasses off, I realise the silhouette was in bright blue! I was not a happy bunny. And I spent the next hour trying to retrieve it, which was a mistake. It would've been easier to start again. So here's my rubbish attempt for today.

Now I need a nap...

I have had exactly the same problem since Christmas @SlimLizzy. Mr K has now got strict instructions not to offer me any naughty treats as my willpower has been zero lately.
My willpower has been at zero for months, since we had the Ukranians here and I got used to eating a lot of carbs. Was overeating as a result. You know the carbs lift and dip effect and put on some weight. Not a lot by most people's standards, but I feel fat. Have decided to keep out of the kitchen as much as possible in the evenings to avoid temptation and this has been working well, as a short streak of lower FBG shows. Today's FBG 6.4 is as a result of a meal out at a friends house. Back to Keep Out Of The Kitchen again tonight.

Nothing wrong with your "blue period" work. The colours are similar to the blue/greys of our landscape and skies. Really like this one.

Don’t care what you the creator think, me, me’s and myself like it, I might nickname you Monet hehehe.

FBG 11.9. Rose to 17.4 quite rapidly (on the Libre). Fingerprick gave 15.9. Whichever it really was, it was too high. Took a correction dose and it is on its way down now (11.4 at last reading).

Another brilliant sky this morning. I thought we were in for a storm because there was a lot of yellow behind big, heavy, dark clouds. But they've rolled themselves up and we have blue skies and a bright sun coming up outside my kitchen window. We have one window facing almost directly east and another facing almost directly south. A few years ago, we had some fantastic cloud formations for some reason and I took loads of pictures of them. Unfortunately, the photos didn't show the amazing formations in any great light, so I gave up on that project. I am fascinated by clouds and the skies they float in.

I love your painting @gennepher. Not rubbish at all.

I also put on weight. 4lbs of which I have now lost 2¾lbs. I was so scared of all the potential damage I was doing to myself that I haven't dared to eat any of the bad stuff.

Enjoy your north of the border break. Not an awful lot to do in Oban last time I was there. But it's attractive. Fort William is pretty good for shopping (at least, it is if you are used to the standard of shops on the Islands) and the scenery is spectacular with the hills, the loch and, of course, Ben Nevis. Wouldn't try to climb it though - bad time of year for that.
Thank you @Annb - been up Ben Nevis a few times but we are giving it a miss this time.

Now I do like this so a very happy mistake for me - those green mountains remind me of some of Lin Fengmian.

Good morning everyone on quite a decent start here in the dark and dangerous north. We are winging up the motorway towards Gretna Green at present and will stop there for a quick koffy and a go on the anvil. Art bit - adding color - don’t know what will be next. Have a blast.

Morning all from a sullen skied, breezy Airfield cum Pig Farm cum forested area cum semi wasteland. Best seen on radio, imho. I didn't test and wouldn't have a huge amount of trust in the accuracy of any of the devices nor confidence in what the level, even if accurate, meant or precisely how it came about. I enjoyed the pheasant breast in mushroom, red wine and creme fraiche sauce last evening, followed by a row of Green and Blacks mint. JKP liked G and B better than After Eight. I know what the app I use says the carbs, nutes and vits were but beyond that is, in all honesty, really just guesswork. If you are "fully invested" your version of "sound science" says it is all true. If you are sceptical "settled science" says it is dangerous. Therefore big hugs for @SlimLizzy and @Krystyna23040 trying to ride this tiger. Nothing any of us can say will or should stop or change you so I hope you feel better in yourselves about doing your best as you see it. Which, for me, segues perfectly into your creative @gennepher. Whatever colours are there may actually be what they are "in reality" anyhow rather than what "the man", "big pharma" or "they" want you to see. Is art always meant to be like a photo? Today B Gas are finally sorting out Nan London's heating which is ironic since she now lives here. She is much stronger and more independent in the week since she left hospital, thanks be to God. She has already had at least 1 good offer on her place - play it cool Trigg, play it nice and cool. It is also super salmon salad day - factored in to the app (22.4 gms carb and 58% rda sodium today since you didn't ask). @jjraak is Potter about to beat Antonio to the £££££s sack race prize and be replaced by Poch?
Update: @dunelm absolutely sublime artwork. Safe journey both ways and have a great time - your own way. Not the best song on Rumours by a long shot (Songbird was by a distance). Have a good day everyone however you chose to define that.

A yellow filter will get those wonderful dramatic clouds @Annb

No yellow filter?
No problem!

Got a pair of yellow tinted sunglasses?
Then hold/tape them to the back of your phone lens while you take the picture of clouds...

No yellow sunglasses lens?
Then a piece of yellow cellophane/acetate will work.

It will make a heck of a difference to the definition of those magnificent clouds you see...
