Our friends have decided not to adopt the two cats looking for a new home. Various reasons, including the fact that they finally found their missing cats body. Probably a victim of "Le Chasse" Their close neighbours have also had three cats disappear over time. Our friends are convinced it's not a safe environment for cats.
It's the same here. Errant was a victim. Kiki wears a collar to identify her as a pet animal, although I am not convinced this would save her from all hunters. The hunting season does not finish until the end of the month, and while she grows in confidence and has started to explore further afield, today she got herself stuck on a high rafter in the cider press shed and had to be rescued.

Good morning everyone from another quite start here in the dark and dangerous north. Thank you for your words of condolence. Yesterday was very busy with phone calls to cousins and such like as well as booking flights. On a brighter note, it is Mrs Miggins’ birthday today and I have splashed out on a retro Thundercats Tea Cosy - I know, these things are so rare. Hospital food anyone? Art bit - another one finished so best look to the next one. Koffy now but best get the bins out first.

A transformation!

Happy (if possible in the circumstances) birthday to Mrs Miggins! Love this artwork.

On the nighttime wildlife cameras...

Cat, Merlin, utters a warning...
in this video is cat Jade, cat Merlin who is constantly on lookout, Foxy Loxy, and cat Amy who is the one who gets the warning....the cat's eyes in the far distance is cat Midnight's - he seems to have taken on the role of 'Watcher'...

Creative is a digital painting in Procreate.
Both cats are there.
I messed with the top of the sky a bit much, it looked better a few strokes before, but I couldn't get it back to what it was.

There is a new black male cat which is a bit aggressive. No idea if it is a stray or not at this point. Midnight says no you are not entering this garden. I hissed at it once yesterday when I thought it was going to go for Midnight. And it retreated. But I know Midnight can take care of himself. A little bit later, the male black cat approached Midnight with aggressive body language. And Midnight, shocked me by launching and hurtling (literally flying) through the air like a cannonball at it, and the male black cat was out of the garden before Midnight had gone a few yards. And Midnight just sat there, nonchalantly cleaning his paws with a satisfied expression on his face.

Time for a cuppa.

You all have the best day you are able...

Take care...

did Archie sense your step count yesterday and spare you?
Yes, Archie definitely did decide to spare me. Actually he does look after me.

When I was recovering from the RTA I had problems walking down steps or steep banks on our countryside walks. Archie would very carefully walk by my side. He would watch every step l took with great concern in case I stumbled.
