Not for me. I very rarely reach a stage I could call warm. I know it isn't the outdoor or indoor temperature. It's me. I did think it was something to do with anaemia - I am pretty well always marginally anaemic but doctors don't seem to think it is important enough to do anything about and the dieticien reckons with the amount of meat and greens I eat, I should be OK. She doesn't seem to think there might be other dietary factors involved, such as calcium to aid absorption of iron. There are probably other factors too, but I can't remember them at the moment.

I actually did reach a stage today when I had to take off my big fleece but I regretted it soon after.
 
Good morning everyone on a wonderfully quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.2 on the jabber this morning. Loads of excitement yesterday when a new ladder was delivered. 3.8m extending thing that turns into a working platform, 2 variants of step ladders, an inverted L shape and a Yellow VW Beetle. Not mine I hasten to add. Art bit, another starter for ten. Enjoy your day whatever day you want it to be. I shall of course make some koffy.

I started growing them years ago when we didnt have a proper garden, because they are so expensive. Pack of seeds, compost and a very large pot with four canes in a teepee. Only need four to six plants. Got a handful every day for weeks.

Blood sugars this morning were a 6.0 and my weekly covid test, negative, a bit like the media.

Today is plinky plonky day, stand in the indoor rain cabinet, eat breakfast, take medication and drink safety koffy while sticking two fingers up to the world and going my own sweet way day, as long as Mrs J approves.

Yesterday contrary to expectations I managed to complete my wood working task, todays task after plinky plonky lesson will be hack a Forsythia bush and shred it ready for national bin day tomorrow. Mrs J has approved this.

Stay safe all, have the best day you can. Remember it’s all done in the best possible taste.

Thank you - I hadn't thought of growing them. We have a very small plastic greenhouse that we use for growing our flowers that is empty at the moment and would be ideal for the mange tout. Will pop down to our local garden centre this afternoon to get some seeds

Staked up the tomatoes but they are leaning again this morning. My poor little Charentais has suffered an attack by mole so had to be reset in the ground. Worked most of the day in the garden and got myself a bit pink, even my feet show sandal marks! So covering up today.
Maybe today I will manage to repot some of the tomato seedlings. But they look tidy in their neat little pots - there are other places that look messy and i will probably be concentrating them today.

7.9 this morning. Our computer people had to do more work yesterday on the computer. Apparently they had done a 'work around ' to get office 365 working but now were able to sort it properly. Thank goodness we pay an annual fee to them. We have definitely got out money's worth this year.
 
The fancy ladders are not for me @dunelm !!!

My feet have to stay on Terra Firma...

The ship was in dry dock, and I climbed the mast, and looked out to sea, and imagined..

No kilt for me when climbing - trousers or shorts were the order of the day. Last time was in 1981, when I was in my thirties and I escorted Neil and Alistair up to the top. Unfortunately, these days I can't even get onto the first rung of a ladder, which means I can't get up into our loft to sort through what's there, or put things up there to store. We have one fairly shallow .step from our parking place onto the path around the house and that gives me enough trouble. Neil can shin up a ladder no problem but I notice that Alistair is a bit more wary going up onto the roof. He tells me that his head for heights is fine, but he hates the transition between ladder and roof.
 
BG was 8.9 at 4.30 this morning and is now around the 11 mark. That's on the finger prick - the Libre reader ran out of juice - the battery charge doesn't last very long and takes me by surprise when it goes off.

Em is here again today. She feels OK but is coughing and sneezing. I daresay I'll be doing the same in a couple of days. Just hope it doesn't get too bad before my eye appointment on Thursday. I've been waiting about a year for it.
 
Good morning all - just - from a much more sunny Little America. JKP is still crook and No 3 son has now been struck down but MIL not affected. DIL and children in Winchester recovered. @gennepher thanks for sharing the latest kaleidoscope. As you know I like those. @dunelm thanks for sharing the start of the latest piece of art. Such excitement for you yesterday. Today mine is a box of bookmarks for £2.99 including postage. MIL has one of those ladders which I'm sure she will fight tooth and nail to keep away from the house clearance people who would have been there this Saturday but JKP has delayed them. That event will make an epic tiktoc/youtube or similar. @Annb you were quite the daredevil back in the day and we already knew you were @gennepher. Phone review was basically carry on as you are. Cricket to watch today plus something other than peanut butter and babybels to eat. Best wishes for those taking Maths GCSE today. Busy A Level day - Chinese, Statistics, Urdu, Business, English Lit (Prose), Russian, Urdu and P.E. anyone? Have a good day folks.

Thank all for your your good wishes.
Lakes very busy and now I find it quite hard to walk on hilly terrain. I had a good day and the fish and chips from The Kingfisher in Keswick were of extremely high quality and well worth eating.
I finished up the day tired and went to bed and slept well.
Helen's Superb is not meant for the Watendlath road which is very narrow in places.
She will be retiring in September when she reaches retiring age but she has been validated to work for some years yet and loves work so I can't see her stopping.
