What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs and pleased for you that the you can again consult the Libre. Interesting poem but I would rather have butter than Flora

Don’t forget that there are no afternoons in November - it’s morning until 2 and then it’s the evening.

6.8 again, so it must be the half day after Friday.
Weather is November. Wet and windy and cold and not conducive to go into the garden, more leaves, I will wait till it's dry! Unless Mrs L sees the carnage, could do with a litter picker uppererer. So I don't have to bend, kneel down, or fall over, will look on Amazon.
Still no curtains up, housing have not got in touch about replacing the wood over the window. It does seem sometimes, that other than forking out hundreds of quid, no one is interested. I do wish Mrs L was in her prime, she could move mountains to get things done. And (ha) I just can't help being useless. In Mrs L 's opinion!

Hoping grandkids will visit later. Shopping and daily chores done. More chores still to do, cooking a bit of gammon, maybe some lamb chops for Mrs L.

Cuppa required.

Hope the footie gods are kind to us. And the darts have been impressive this week!
Best wishes

Great art bit...

Happy Birthday for The Girl In The Bubble @dunelm

Fbg 6.8

The Fennel tea suggested by @Lainie71 yesterday is working. I can move around now, but the trapped wind is still there, and not so fierce...but it is still making me tired. I have a lot going on at the moment and so that is probably not helping.

I have been looking at the Fodmap way of eating as suggested by Derek @lindisfel
My first reaction was, I don't to blinking want to work out something else new...I did do some research before I fell asleep last night. I must have taken a lot in and remembered it, because I woke up this morning, my brain said we could do this instead of that, and wouldn't you fancy having a little of that because it fits in with the Fodmap way of eating and you fancy having a little of that...and so on....
Okay Brain, you win, I will incorporate it, and I'll take more readings to keep an eye on it.

Creative...a painting I never finished in Procreate, and I created a double exposure with the trees outside my front window which has raindrops on it....and that is what you get!

I am ready for an afternoon nap...problem is, when I open my eyes again, it will be dark...

Have your best day...

A cuppa first...

The good news is that the fennel has offered some relief and FODMAP offers another route. Stress seems to impact JKP's IBS adversely so that is almost certainly also involved. Just a thought, do you also have any back pain? - seems to be linked with IBS flare up in some. Thank you for sharing the creative which is wonderful just as it is. Take care.

Hi @ianpspurs
Yes I do have back pain. I am wearing a heated gilet at the moment, with just the back panel heating on to help with that.

Thank you for the creative compliment.

You take care as well.

Stunning.

Grandkids #7 & #8, have been around and entertained Mrs L and myself.
It was fun and helped Mrs L do a little, as she always done for all the rest.
Football gods not playing.

Both of us now are wiped out and I've still got cooking to finish off.
Dishes to wash, tidy up after the tornado that is #8, to do!

Enjoy the birthday party!

Gotta go again!

Best wishes to you all as always.

Abigail is of the view the fine on Everton was unfair when they let Manchester United off .

She is amazing she can watch darts, football and snooker at the same time. Our family in York seem to occupy their lives with sport. The three of them play table tennis at a local club.

Interesting point, @Lamont D

I think that's the conundrum that the major economic powers were, and still are struggling with, when they look ahead to Robotics & A.I. replacing so many in the workplace.

iirc, self driving vehicles in the US was predicted to remove 50%+ of truckers, which by itself was a huge number, many of whom, unlike other industrial revolutions, might not be replaced by new & novel roles, so far unpredicted by the powers that be.

(If even maintaining or creating improved models, in the case of robotics, becomes exclusive to robots advancing themselves, what roles do displaced humans have ? )

A fact that had the US (among many govts) looking to how the introduction of 'universal credit' might be a possible solution.

Like you say, if too many are displaced from work, who is left to afford to buy the 'products' created ?

Too many with not enough money to buy anything but the essentials, and economies potentially collapse.

Many clips on YouTube etc, making your case, that money given to the many (aka poorer) helps growth & benefits society, where it is recycled to the local community (aka spending)

Given to the rich, it only benefits the few, where it's generally added to the pile of money they already have ( off shore banking, luxury items, etc )

Tories, just keep tilting THAT see-saw in one direction, I fear

So pleased the car is working out so wonderfully, after your bout of trepidation over the gearbox .

Seems like a good day was had all round, @Krystyna23040 .

@jjraak. I dont think they have thought all this through, my sister's husband who worked as one of the under managers for Ruston Bucyrus excavators reckoned years ago they couldnt sell them to India it would put too many labourers out of work doing work that was done by navies in G.B. in the 19th century. Its probably different now but there is appaling poverty.

Morning team D.
(T2 conference league)

Hugs for many with issues, high fives to those with great fbgs.

Someone got shouted at last week....

It appears a silly little spill (a dark & wet morning) from the Ebike on the way to work, left a few bruised ribs, along with a fetching bash to the cheeks/jawline (bluey/yellow, just so autumnal).

No one really noticed, until I stupidly disturbed the ribs by carrying an overly heavy rucksack over one shoulder a week later (bad side) rather than both as rucksack maker intended .

Cue lack of sympathy, as I collapsed like a cheap deckchair, under the withering interrogation that ensued, once it became apparent one of us couldn't lay down (or sit or stand) without a grimace at the pain as the ribs creaked & groaned under pressure.

Did the shouting help me, nope
But it did relieve a little pressure valve for Lauren, so there is that ...lol

It was concerning the other day, and had me considering a trip to A&E, as I over thought things, as the pain spread from just side/back to the front part of ribs too.

But it does seems to be easing, so maybe a few more days rest before I'm needed back at work, might just be all it needs.

God bless & best wishes all.
