Fbg 6.3

Nighttime wildlife video
Badger & Foxy Loxy & Cat Jade
1min 1sec

Creative...writing pen with water brush on a postcard.
I have hundreds of print photos of secret doorways. And secret gardens...
I always meant to do something with them...
Now I can experiment....

Wind blowing a hoolie. Torrential rain. At least I am a good few hundred feet above sea level, unlike a new housing estate which is being built on right next to the river and which looks like the same level as the river. And the river was very high the other day....

I always prefer hills and mountains...

Time for food and another cuppa...

Smashing piece - these would make great illustrations for a book.

Good morning everyone from a blustery start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. It’s great to go away and it’s also great to be back home. A brand new pack of koffy to sample today as well as a brand new gom jabar to fix to my arm - oh the pleasures of things new! Unlike a pair of socks that I packed without noticing that the heel on one had worn through - now in some landfill I suspect. Art bit - didn’t manage much after getting home. There is a piece of paper on the table covered in dabs of paint and used when checking colour or to dab off some excess moisture, so, just drew some mountain like lines on it with an ink brush. I have a new sheet of watercolour paper taped to my board for today. Hope you enjoy your day, I simply must slurp some koffy.

5.5 this morning. Very windy again. We kept well away from the trees in the park. Although w i not it was really warm, which you don't expect in February.
This current weather is far too warm for me, I have all the doors and windows open @Krystyna23040

Also we need a longer colder harder winter to kill the bugs...

I love those background pieces of paper, to protect the table, with the multitude of colours and brush squishes @dunelm
They can make amazing paintings in their own right...
Brilliant ...

Good morning from L.A. where the wind goes through you, it's no place for the old. No known fbg here, yes I care but the King and I have other medical priorities. @gennepher I can't imagine anyone having windows open with temperatures below at least 25C but each to their own. Not sure a frail 94 y.o would cope with that anyhow. Thanks for sharing the wonderful creative. I have absolutely no wish for a spell of cold weather, especially now we don't have an orchard to protect or a wood burner to keep me toasty warm. The present level is far too cold for me thanks. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art and hug for #sockgate: new socks are inordinately high on my list of God's blessings (especially Hygge ones) hence the need to donate about 50 pairs (not even an exaggeration) to charity. @JohnEGreen I hope the eye check goes well and the result is good news. @Krystyna23040 another great fbg. Today is Dynorod day frequent flyers in this close. It appears the world leading drainage was installed by Coco the clown/Bojo.What is washing up by hand all about in the c21st???? fortunately we have 2 fully functional well separated loos upstairs which is just as well as MIL has transitus severeus. :bigtears: Have an above average Tuesday everyone - except for bg levels.

6.5 today.
Running around this a.m. to get things done while Mrs L has a lie in.
Can't get the shop cos of the torrential downpour of wet stuff. And snow is on its way, so those who wish for the lower temps are getting their wish. I actually have turned my heating of, and Mrs L hasn't evenoticed.
Mrs L did test my temper so much after an afternoon nap, it was Dena by every five minutes and repeated questions about five different things that was a bit of a worry for her. And my gast was flabbered, when she asked me to turn the oven on for her supper. It became clear, that it is getting a little but worse. Her short term memory is awful. If I told you that while doing the big shop on line that a piece of gammon would do nicely for New Year.
Got prescription sorted.

Can't get in garden tho it's looking good.

Hope Charlie is ok.
You don't want to know what I think about the circumstances surrounding this bad news has on the rest of us.
If only the majority of the population could get this level of prompt diagnosis.

If only I had a £1000 to place a bet!
That wouldn't even come close to my total housing costs per month.

Gotta go.

My best wishes to you all as always.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and also the picky, yes me, me’s and myself know its already afternoon.

Been for a routine warfarin blood test this morning and also got some Waitrose menu cards, not low carb, but a good starter for 10. It’s a good job the menu cards are just in the doorway so you don’t have to enter the emporium of high prices, wide isles and helpful staff. The roast cod and tomato recipe looked interesting. Mrs J was studying said recipe.

This afternoon after my obligatory power nap will hopefully be spent sorting my motorcycle out, examining homemade planters and lastly plinky plonky, while contemplating celestial movements and apples if I remember where I left my sliderule also how to use it.

Stay safe all.

@Lamont D hug for the stress but so much respect for the love shown. Here the drainage is sorted. The problem was indeed due to the infrastructure not anything we had done. Technically it was Anglian water’s issue and affected four other houses on the way to main drain where the actual issue occurred. Thankfully we have British Gas Homecare so thanks be to God for His grace and blessing problem solved - for now. Dishwasher and downstairs loo safe to use - yes first world problems but still problems. @alf_Josiah I like those recipes they can be adapted. Don't buy that piece of cod which passeth all understanding - which to my taste is all pieces but YMMV. Here's something you may enjoy.

I never did know how to use anything more than the simplest slide rule and I am bemused by the one I found in a drawer a few days ago. It was one that Tom took to sea with him - it was very advanced at the time - to work out sights for navigating. Not sure what to do with it - nobody uses them these days - it's almost a museum piece, I suppose.

There is a very simple one in the loft. It was used for demonstrating how they work to a maths class at the college and is about 7 ft long and 18 inches wide. Bit big for carrying around in the pocket. Not sure what to do with that either. That's an understatement - I have absolutely no idea.

@Lamont D Young Sheldon like!!
Have recently discovered this series. Both MrSlim and I are enjoying it.
It is a great prequel to the big bang theory. The writers are brilliant and the actors have brought it alive!
Hugely enjoyable and I wish some of other comedy were as good.
And I get the impression of being a nerd cos of my sci fi watching., Especially being a trekkie.

Great the drainage is sorted.
Played RU in grammar school before footie started in fourth year with great shame from many parents!!!!!!
And the game changed during this period the article referred to.
I found RL, which I found better to watch. A pity I didn't get the chance to play in my youth as there was no clubs in my area. But footie was enough for me.
I do agree that certain talents should be lauded. As always in a team sport it is the others that make a talent better and the team behind the team.

I'm sure a local school would be able to show the kids what was used before calculator and computers.
