Creative...pen and waterbrush on postcard.
I took a photo. And then a few hours later, I did a bit of white biro pen work on it. I took a photo. And there wasn't an awful lot of difference, but I liked the one with the white biro work on. I need to find a fine white Posca pen....that might make more of a difference with the white...

A cuppa needed now.

But I could do with a meditation and a nap before I start my day....

Good morning everyone on a simply wonderful quiet start here in the dark and dangerous north. A toe dipping 5.5 this am and already the birds are chirping about a smashing lull in the dreary rain for a change. Pre bin day here which means that Mrs Miggins will be staying over at our daughters tonight to take the Girl In The Bubble to school in the morning. Capitalising on this, I have purchased a whole lamb belly, a large chunk of which will be roasted for my dinner tonight - I grill you long time! Mrs Miggins is not a fan of Lamb, or mutton or even hogget - which is well weird. What’s the point of us British inventing both malt vinegar and a spectacular mint sauce if some folk then go about proclaiming that they don’t like lamb - not even shoulder! Art bit, just one colour and a dab of white gouache in the foreground. May your day be merry and bright, but not today! I need koffy and then do the Blow Away The Snow dance to Mott the Hoople.
Note: I have just re-read this. I have no idea what I’m going on about but it was all done in the best possible taste.

Not an easy thing to do...at least I don't find it easy...
The specks of white gouache give the painting a 3D quality...

You just made me realise @jjraak I forgot Middy! He was holding my hand with his two front paws the entire time I was attempting to draw this...but I can see a black bird's head, or is it a front view of Popeye by the fence on the left...
 
Morning all from a so far bright and dry L.A. on monthly bloods - and Belgiam bun for JKP - day ahead of Feedback wiv Prof Friday. @gennepher what a gorgeous creative, thank you so much for sharing. @dunelm simply Hilaire post - what did happen to Vince and the team of the 80s? - enjoy the lamb and thanks for sharing the art. That is so much like the setting for the origins of Bandy on Bury Fen in my home village: those were indeed the days Mary. @jjraak an oeuf is an oeuf already with the egg yokes. That's all I got to say about that. Enjoy Wednesday but remember what Momma said: life is like a box of chocolates (sans "map") you never know what you'll get.- especially if'n you don't stab or swipe (left or right?)

Baroness Iceberg of Thetford and Lord Kwarteng of Misrule? :bigtears: although that title is probably reserved for Bojo. Oh wait, he should surely be Lord Creosote. This mornings reading 6.6 and cold today. Have had no internet since 10:00pm last night and back on about 1/2 an hour ago. Certainly makes me wonder how I occupied my time before the tinternet, I did have two kids and hubby so that explains some of it. I always remember my hubby informing me " I will be surfing all the time" after I told him I wouldn't be bothered! How wrong was I and how right was he! I use it for emails and here on this forum as well as other things, and its on in the background should I need it. Its a fountain of knowledge, but also the devil incarnate as it caused my kids so many problems. Certainly makes me think :wideyed:
 
Librfe went off twice during the night telling me my BG was too low. Wasn't bothered because I know it is a couple of points below the fingerprick test. Second time I had a date to fix it. By morning (0400) BG was 8.8.

4" of snow outside this morning but I think it has stopped snowing meantime. Roads are difficult, according to Alistair. The main road is OK with care but the side roads are causing him problems. He has managed so far though. He only has local mail to deliver today - the plane didn't get in again.
