What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone on another kelvin degrees hotigrade in Scorchio town. The great fusion reactor is on overtime due to the moon slowly drifting away in disgust at the vapid qualities of oxymoronic world leaders. Those lucky England foot the ball team won’t be voting as they can’t find the box never mind getting a cross in it. Art bit - a smidge more. Keep cool and rub in more goose fat. I have had koffy and am sitting in the shade of a coolibah tree.

That is a brilliant fix for a blister @gennepher.
Lovely daisy.

Quite cool in Cumbria after half a days rain soon back to normal.

Perhaps you should check for Covid again?
It doesn't always register first time. Its reached epidemic proportions here.

5.3 today. Am really happy to be in either the 5s or 6s first thing in the morning. It is now 7 years with no insulin. How time flies.

Yesterday was a lovely day and although I got lots done I had loads of time to relax and read and drink rather too much coffee.

Morning all from L.A. where it is difficult to determine what season this is now the budget for a few days of summer has been spent as, perhaps, another part of the obtuse scorched earth retreat policy currently playing out. @dunelm thank you for the clever critique of Southgate's troops without one mention of No 2s and thanks for sharing the developing structure. @gennepher hug for blisters and aspiration issue. I am constantly amazed by your resilience and resourcefulness. Thank you for sharing the creative. @Krystyna23040 huge congratulations on 7 years without insulin. @Annb hug for the current bug whatever it may be. @lindisfel stay safe and strong in the faith my friend. The focus here is to stay as still as possible so that all the dressings stay on and hanging in there as there isn’t any sport I follow today - lawng day ahead but I'm still here. Enjoy your Friday as much as possible. Peace be with you all.

Love the artwork and the football analogy, very apt!

On news this morning that masks are to be worn in public buildings again, in the Isle of Man.
According to DiL still low around here.
However Glastonbury........ #1 is down there....
Need to get mine out again!

6.5 this freezing, fiesty Friday.
it is very windy out there, very windy forecast last night said no rain, so I watered.
It rained!It
it was only ten degrees at 11.30 a.m.

#8 paid a visit and woke Mrs L up, another cuppa.
Mrs L has misremembered for third day running about the new tablet.
And even that we have seen the dsn, or had bloods done.
Having to repeatedly explain the meds protocol is frustrating.
I forgot to mention phoning the doctors and pharmacy to get the right prescription filled again, just no correlation between them.
Speaking of phone calls. One to housing over shower, nowt wrong but no shower curtain which was promised then and of course promised again. Tother one regarding the council over the payment for rails and such.

The temporary traffic lights have moved again this morning and a trailer is currently parked outside with a huge yellow pipe on it. Another hole closer to the house in the road.
A noisy morning outside.
Another trapped dream last night. Running (no chance) away from the dream monster, trying to get me to do, what I didn't want to do. Mrs L gave me a somewhat reminder to stop dreaming.
I had a trip to ....... Got back into my pit, but couldn't fall asleep again.
I maybe had about three hours sleep and so lethargic this morning.

Where has summer gone?

My best wishes.

I feel your pain.

Sitting still, so longed for by some but when it's forced ..what a pain in the proverbia
Thanks for the sympathy mate. The proverbial has so far been free of the visitors but I've painfully learned which areas are in contact with the edge of a sofa or mattress. What doesn't help is that until 5.50 ish this morning I had never in my life been able to sleep on my back or lying still.

Yes @jjraak that is a good description of what Midnight appears to be doing.

Ye! Silly boy with your blisters! Picking them!
There were some other ideas how to let down a blister without popping. Just Google. One method might appeal over another. The salt water method appealed to me beacause I always have sterile vials of saltwater. I first bought them at the beginning of Covid when we were getting all that alarmist stuff, and didn't know what we were meant to do. These vials can be used for several purposes, and are already made up and sealed. I use them as eyewash when bits are in my eyes that won't come out, or if my eyes are gunged up in a morning after sleep, or for cleaning a wound etc.

Great Art @dunelm
A wee bit of a welcome breeze here...

Thank you for the compliments @ianpspurs

Thank you for your nice compliments @ianpspurs
I am watching a variety of small birds at the moment, especially a small robin who keeps coming to have a peek at me in bed having my afternoon nap ( trying to catch up on night time sleep...)

A lot of people were wearing masks here when I went to the shops this morning. I cannot wear them because of my asthma, I cannot breathe in them @Lamont D
I thought it was a bit ridiculous, however, when a group of three women came out of the shop took their masks down and proceeded to have a chinwag for the next 3/4 of an hour (with their masks now under their chins) all within a couple of feet of each other... I did three separate shops in the time they had their chinwag and they were still chinwagging when I left...

Cold, wet and windy here. Forecast said it would be 13C today. I doubt it is even that, especially with this wind. For some reason my little Amazon Fire Tablet is playing silly games - not accepting my password, or deciding to put different numbers in instead of the ones I want. Now it has decided that I want to know the weather report for Swindon rather than Stornoway. I have no idea how to stop it doing this - nothing in the settings that remotely resembles what I need. It has always been a bit willful when making connections via Zoom but now it is behaving really badly. Apparently Swindon has 18C temperature and is overcast. Nice to know.

Brightened up a bit around her, still windy but a bit warmer. It could still rain.

#7 & #8 paid a visit after school and #7 has her big competition tomorrow morning in mancland.
I do hope she has a good time.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
