What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

How typical of you to think of the problems of others which is the true measure of you as a man. Wonderful to see you here and God bless you now and always.

Good afternoon Derek.
Great to see you here.
Hugs for your problems
Take care @lindisfel.

I have now read this three times now.

Unbelievable is this mate.
Unbelievable is now I think.
Unbelievable is my motto now to what I do.
Already this morning chores have taken most of the morning, obviously keeping an eye on the cricket but so much of what I do is for her. There is no way of getting around this.

You cannot believe the gratefulness I feel from your post. It actually brought a tear and a lump to my throat.
I won't stop writing, I may miss off days but I feel a draw here with my diabmates. ((Not a real thing, but I like it)
I will keep battling and looking after Mrs L.
I am honoured to receive such a post.
Unbelievable mate.

7.4 this manic Monday.
Mrs L has destroyed the bedroom.
I'm exaggerating cos, as we listened to the weather and the high winds, which we have had most of the night, are forecast to be stronger and colder, so Mrs L decided that the bedroom window needed closing, which Mrs L has achieved by pulling the curtain rail down.
Have sorted.
And cleaned the kitchen thoroughly, cos Mrs L had made a cuppa which the floor enjoyed.
Just another day in paradise.
Incidents and accidents.
Hints and allegations.
You did it!
No, you did!
No, I never!
Yes, you did!
Yes dear.
Have you ordered the......?

Garden furniture away insisted on by Mrs L.
Garden looks empty now.
Footie pitches took the insistence persistence precipitation all day yesterday, replaced by stiff cold winds, mid afternoon 15degrees.

Cuppa required by you know who.

Be back later
Thanks so much for your support.

Yes, indeed @Krystyna23040. When some comedian used our address plus a fictitious name in order to avoid a series of parking fines, it took almost six months to resolve.

Thankfully, your case was dealt with promptly.
That must have been a nightmare @LivingLightly. It is so stressful when something like that happens.

That would be lovely if you could find them, although more important that you rescue your pictures of Popeye and your hearing dog Meg @gennepher

Thanks ian

Good to hear from you Derek

Blessings to you & Marjorie.

Brilliant news, so good to hear.

You've had a rough run of late, good to see you get some respite in the form of that mattress & some decent sleep.

I remember an old saying that stuck with me.

Always spend good money on shoes & mattresses.

Because if your not in one you're in the other.

Many a true word
Sleep natures secret medicine.

Here's to more night of it, for you @Annb

A similar saying is, always wear clean underwear and no holes in your socks in case, others have to see them!

In the early sixties, football socks, we're known as stockings, for some reason.
Our teacher coach in junior school, always referred to as such.
The hand me down school kit, was even then awful.
which reminds me of the equipment, boots, shin pads, balls. Eek!
The stockings were full of holes, and really uncomfortable.
They must have been woolen.
yellow and black stripes they were.
yellow and black quarters, shirt.
black shorts.
I remember my first game.
I scored,
I'm the wrong end.
In my career as a footballer, my oggies, outdid my goals.
Strangely, weirdly. My first goal in junior football, was on a pitch, which is now my local clubs training ground.
And where my last job for my club was based.
decent footwear was so important as a kid.
