Had it since 2009 ish.
All gone.
Had to register a new one

I had similar with googlemail a good while back.

Took about a month to get my account back .

One of the security questions I kept failing on was "what date did I first register & use my Gmail account ? "....wt!!.

Who would remember that, when it's all done online and in app...???

And given the best way to find out would be to search the very app I couldn't log into...aagghhhhhh.

Again the pic squares are not really equal opportunities robot detectors, are they .

I noted when I failed one or two (does not compute, does not compute, kill the Doctor...Dada da Lan Dada da Lan, oooh oooh ....)

Some offer to sound out numbers of letters or numbers on a camouflage background...mmhh

Good morning everyone on a damp and dreary start to this weeks International Bin Day Cavalcade here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.5 this a.m. Suspicions about the BBC weather app telling porky pies has proved to be true! I wonder if there is some secret programming code going on here, probably hidden by Micheal Fish who conspirators in the quantum babble now think is an android called Marcellus Cod. So, if you are blown down the road, soaked to the bones and hurled into the flood waters of a nearby river - just ignore it, it’s all a lie - you have already been plugged into the matrix and can now identify as a supper cell battery. Art bit - ink and koffy. Hope your day goes well. Don’t look out of the very corner of your eyes though, you will glimps the reality. Now, is this koffy actually there? I shall put it in a box and it will be both there and not there at the same time.

5.5 this morning.
Just relaxing until sister arrives and we can get going on the admin.

Quite a chilly breeze, but it is lovely to see the sun through the clouds. Wore 4 layers so was toasty warm as we walked around the park with Poppy. She enjoyed the walk as she met her doggy friends.
 
BG back to normal levels (5-6's) so that's a good sign. This is weigh-in day, because it is the only morning I can take off all the bandages that weigh my legs down. Sadly, I've gained almost a kilo since last week. Still haven't got rid of this cold, but it isn't too bad now - just a bit thick in the throat, runny nose and the occasional sneezing fit.

Drinking plenty this morning to try to get enough blood in my veins for the nurse to take some for testing so I shan't take any of my pills either (diuretics and BP), for the same reason. The doctor that I saw on Tuesday couldn't get any out of me which puzzled her because she said she had never come across a patient she couldn't get blood out of before. I had warned her though that I am notoriously miserly with my blood. The nurse isn't going to be happy today though. I really don't want to be such a challenging individual, but my veins are simply unco-operative.

When I got my Fire Tablet it had Alexa on it, which turned out to be a bad idea because it ordered stuff from Amazon that Em had only expressed a wish to have. It clearly had direct access to my Amazon account. I got Neil to turn it off so that it couldn't happen again. For the last few months the weather app has been showing me the weather in Swindon. I thought that very odd because that is where my brother lives. I never bothered to go into the setting to change it though because I don't really use it. On Monday, though, I decided to check it and when it came up with a forecast for Swindon I said (out loud) "I don't live in Swindon, I live in Stornoway." It immediately changed to the forecast for our area. So, despite Alexa being turned off, my tablet is listening to me.

A similar thing happened to my friend a few days ago. She wanted to show someone a photo on her phone from the internet,of a building she was trying to describe. She hadn't turned the phone on when she said the name of the building but when she did turn it on, the picture was there, on the screen. Creepy! I don't like the idea that some AI equipment is listening into what I say. That's just a short step from Big Brother and control by some external organisation.

Paranoid - that's me (but not an android). However, as a dear departed friend used to say, "Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you." I don't think that was an original observation, but I don't know where he got it from.
 
Morning all.

Day 4 of my new drugs (forxiga )

Can't prove it, but seems to fit the timescales.

Tipping up my internal boiler & giving its casing a jolly good bashing, seems to have upset my inner radiators & valves, somewhat .

New meds needed to better balanced all the internals before chaos ensues.

So giving it a go in the hope we (me) see improvements.

Early days yet.

But FBG was (after a sensible day eating back in the 6's (6.5)
So that's a positive.

Enjoy the day .

Sunburn or wind damage, seems to be the two choices.. choose wisely

Surprising result after carb-fest last night, but I am not arguing.
Yesterday it rained all day, so i was in the kitchen concocting various edibles. Sadly not one came out as expected. Apart from the semolina pudding made and eaten with a dollop of the marmalade as a comfort food at 10pm.
Yesterday's marmalade is still runny so am going to have to reboil it.
Dehydrated tomatoes are ready to go into oil.
Tomato sauce: I think it best to bring to boil and then cool, portion and freeze. Am not sure the slow roasting process is sufficient for long storage. Recipe states six weeks in the freezer. Needs more herbs as well.
Steamed roughly mashed celariac and carrots are now cool and need portioning and freezing.
Weather insisted it was raining, when I could see sunshine. So I bravely put sheets in to wash. Of course clouds are rolling in now they are out on the line.
MrSlim is increasingly unhappy with his living conditions, but insists that an extra person (and cat) in the caravan would only make things worse. I have to admit I don't fancy weeks of winter in such cramped conditions.
New floors were put in upstairs, but a downpour has revealed a leak in the roof. MrSlim cannot get up to fix it until it stops raining. From what he has told me the weather has been terrible.

Well a little tale of woe yesterday.

Family issues at Frankie's
Lauren unwisely offered to take Frankie to ours .

She's still not well after holiday (cold like symptoms)
So I decided I could take Frankie for his evening walk
(Lauren zonked out as soon as she got home, bless her x )

Leg playing up but dog needed a pee, watchya gonna do...?

Take crutch, manage not to fall over, finish walk ....go to open door ....oh ho ..wrong keys

Call Lauren...phone unavailable...died ...aagghh.

My phone only has a few bars..more aagghh.

Leave VM & WhatsApp with Lauren, for when she wakes & checks phone.

A 2nd wander with doggo, get back , switched phone off to save battery....switch back on...no joy.

Text daughter see if spare keys with her....nope

Some kerfuffle over keys pre holiday, so she's not got them.

Cue sitting on steps outside house, knee now demanding a rest.
Frankie sat next to me
Marley sat on other side

Thought about what a Great business opportunity it might be, but couldn't bring myself to ask passersby if they had any spare change...as seems the norm judging by the outside of train stations here in the metropolis etc.

Eventually daughter & flatmate find a set of keys that 'might' be ours so drive over....success

A tired re-entry, to be greeted by a sleepy eyed "aw thank you babe, lovely of you to take him out for a 'few minutes' to wee ".......3 ¹/² hours ..

All ended well.
Rescued by my new heroes.
 
@Annb google leads me to believe the originator of that quote was Joseph Heller. Hug for the persistent cold and blood letting issues. @jjraak quite a story over the key issue but a great result, hence the winner. I hope the new meds do all you wish. Hug for Lauren. @SlimLizzy I gave the hug for a mixed bag of outcomes from the cooking but more for missing Mr Slim and concern over his living conditions. Comfort food and Elsie? - does not compute for me and both semolina and marmalade (except Roses lime marmalade on sourdough/dark rye toast) would make things worse but great that you can find foods that bring comfort and a brilliant fbg next day. Once again it is abundantly clear we are all different. Many here must remember The Threadfather and his crumpet (food, don't add your own jokes) effect.

Thank you @ianpspurs - no Hurricanes or any other WW2 aircraft reported up here although a restored Spitfire was overhead last weekend.

We frequently have flyovers of WW2 aircraft here, usually from Duxford. On our particular part of this town there is a park, Douglas Park, commemorating this event and all the Closes and other enclaves are named after planes or pilots from that race hence Boeing Way, De Haviland Court, Miles Hawk Way, Charles Melrose Close etc

It is the opposite in the peninsula Jack has come and sent the mercury plummeting.
Even when I hypo I don't crash that quickly.
Sunny, trying to warm up, the sun ain't winning but it is a change from the rain.

Most much to report except, I do feel for those who like me are not tech savvy. This is the benefit of having grandkids and a certain #2 who has a computer science degree and letters after his name etc. If one of them cant, the other will.
However, Mrs L has a knack of trying to destroy her pad, when her memory interferes the thing just doesn't and throws a technical hissy fit. Don't mention the new virgin remotes for the box!

Gotta go, tea is demanded.
