I do hope that there isn't too much damage to your garden @gennepher.
Thank you @Krystyna23040

But there's going to be problems with me and Mr insensitive neighbour over the fencing because he has fixed it to my breeze block wall and it's taken my breeze block wall down.
I have just been out there before he discovers this (but I imagine he would have heard it in the night), and I have taken photographs (with my flash) of all the fixings where he's attached his fencing on his side to my breeze block wall which he had no right to do so and he never asked permission... His fencing attached by fittings to my breeze block wall is what brought it down and that's why I've just taken loads and loads of photos.

I am sure I said when that fencing went up, that it would come down in a high wind. I was unaware at the time that the fencing was attached to my breeze block wall, and that was the only thing holding this heavy fencing up. Stupid stupid man.

He can pay for my wall as well because, I am not paying one penny towards that wall.

Oh no @gennepher. I agree - he is a stupid stupid man.

6.3 this morning.
Last day of term today. Looking forward to the lovely long break.

Just watching the news before setting off to Norwich. The conditions look horrendous in Wales. Really scary.
Take care on the roads @Krystyna23040
I have absolutely no idea of the wind and rain conditions your way, but it is not fit here for beast or man.

I just tried to go out to my back garden. I wanted to see what the damage was. But I needed a hard hat and wellies. I have a paddling pool/moat round my bungalow. I was driven back in. I wanted to see if the potting shed was okay or if it needs it tarpaulin over some of it... I have no idea how it is faring in this wind.... I have a lot of books in there....

EDIT...According to the Windy App, this wind, especially the gusts are not going to die down until tomorrow...

Morning all from a wet and windy L.A. which is not good but far better than many. Quick thank you for sharing the video and creative/photo to @gennepher and big hug for the impact of Darragh and Mr Insensitive. Conditions here are like a down sized Cyclone challenge from I'm a Celeb though no one has ventured outside yet. The dogs were very wary of having their morning comfort break. I'll leave the attached with you to mull over, no knee jerk mentions of handcarts to Hades please: full piece here for keenies. POTUS elect and oppositional defiance disorder struck a chord. Now, even though I'm not a celebrity, I'm getting myself out of here. Take care everyone.

Sugar, in all it's iterations.
Hello from Montreal. Waking BG is 5.3 mmol/L Sat. Dec 7.
Lost 2 more kg since last weigh-in so I've lost 38kg total since I started all this since before the Pandemic. (5.9 stone, I think that is.)

We are under siege here @gennepher, the local shops haven't opened.
my moat has refilled, my sheds are rattling. My windows are shaking like me.
it is horrendous, no protection on the coast, just wild and very wet.
My garden is a bit of a mess from foliage again.
plants are taking it well (ish)

A very surprising 6.3.
As I'm full of snot, coughing, a bad head cold, sore throat etc, shaking, arthritis playing up. I was expecting my FBG to be a lot higher. Mind you, I'm fasting today and never ate much yesterday either.
Mrs L told me to rest up and take it easy!
Mrs L has no idea.
But I'm trying to.
Paracetamol is helping, I think.
Have gone through a roll of kitchen roll already.
I'm not well.
My calves hurt.
My body is shaking.
If I can't moan here, where can I?

Hope you lot feel better than I do, it won't be difficult.
Best wishes.

I live at the top of the hill @Lamont D and from my garden I can see the River Dee, the Wirral Peninsula, over the Mersey, and in to Liverpool.
I can see the crashing waves.
And this raging wind comes hurling up the hill, from the Irish sea, to hit the side of my bungalow as well as the other bungalows in this road ...
My eucalyptus tree has been snapped in two ... I can see that from my bedroom window. There is other damage but I need to go out, and like heck am I doing that this weather....
And I am still trapped from getting out of my bungalow.
I can see the people over the road I would have asked for help by WhatsApp are not there, they are somewhere else but I do not know where so I cannot WhatsApp them to help. I can see my next door neighbour Mr insensitive is also not there his cars are not there.... I think everyone has fled...

I shall attempt to escape tomorrow.

I am not getting a good deal for my arthritis today either...

Try and have a peaceful night's sleep tonight, if that is at all possible...

Take care...

You are more important than your house, you should not go out at all, it is not worth it.
And the latest from the local weather station is this is not gonna change till tomorrow morning (ish)
I'm worried about my back fence as it is westward facing.
What a lovely view you must have of this area. There is reverse of that view for certain places around here, especially of Snowdonia.
it is beautiful in good weather.
but in this, no thanks.
at least the electricity is still on. Hopefully, I've got my chrimbo lights on now.
keep safe.

No @Lamont D it is not worth it to go outside in this...

The power started flickering on and off so I've just made two flasks of tea, one flask of water and that should do me til morning.

Night night from me...

Nighttime wildlife videos
It is too stormy trying to get out there to change the current SD cards, and I will be wading in about six inches of water, so that can now wait until tomorrow.

I have a lot of SD cards from earlier this year that I have not had time to look at yet and I have found even more with my tidying up...

Older footage from 21 April 24...
I have been tidying up & found lots of SD cards I had mislaid. This video only half the night, there was a lot of activity on 21 April....
There is Ma & Pa Badger, Foxy Loxy, stray black cat Amy, and stray ginger Chunky Marmalade...

Good afternoon all. I had a fasting BG of 5.8 this morning after a 5.3 reading at bedtime last night.

@equipoise I was just about to start a new thread with a very similar title but glad you beat me to it.
Hi Fergus! Are you in or near remission? When I was first diagnosed type 2 there were about 2 posts about remission and now the web site has whole sections about diet control and remission, but the required levels are never written down the same twice! I’m still working on my levels but I’m getting close to fully controlling things!

Night night from me...

We had carpet back in the sixties of that first one....

I am going to remind you that one of the symptoms of my essential tremor disorder, is that my tongue occasionally hangs out of my mouth, it is an involuntary thing, and even if I try to stop it, I can't when concentrating. Since this blocked nose of mine won't let me breathe through my nose, I have to be a mouth breather. And because of this, my tongue is much more worser than a spaniel in the heat.
And it so annoying and embarrassing.

according to the local weather station, the wind topped out at 100 kph. About 80+ mph.
rain stopped but cold wind from the North now. About 50-60mph.
Keep warm, keep safe you lot.
Try and enjoy your weekend
