What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Very wild there last night. No wonder no animals visited your garden.

I amazed that the red buckets made a lovely flower kaleidoscope @gennepher

Morning all from what was an exceptionally dark start to Wednesday in L.A. Even with tree lights and the failure of the Advent wreath candles timer the light struggled to overcome the darkness, but it did so very on point. @gennepher thank you for sharing the video and creative which to me looks more like a paean of praise to Angry Birds - my bad? So kind of you to continually share your videos and creatives and wonderfully kind to research all those sources of help for @Lamont D. @dunelm good news on the results of the ritual bloodletting. I too feel some loss of manhood due to my height shrinking with the passage of time. I liked being 6 feet 1 - 5 feet 11+ has zero currency in the manosphere. All three of our boys are at least 6 feet 4, I feel like an Oompa Loompa near them. Thank you for sharing another splendid piece of your art. Do enjoy your coffee. I imagine that, for you, shop bought Koffy is similar to tea for me. Thanks, but I know how to do better. @alf_Josiah hugs and wishes for all to be successful so that a return home can be achieved. @Krystyna23040 those lesson plans sound amazing and so typical of your care and knowledge. There is no such thing as naughty food, just that some of our bodies are unable to process them to an arbitrary level within a predetermined time frame: at least in quantities which make sense. I had an idea what I wanted to write but sadly this is how it turned out, I sincerely apologise. Do have a carol - I like the carol a great deal (memories dear boy, memories) and am fortunate enough to have heard it performed in that wonderful setting. No grandchildren today as there is a nasty bug doing the rounds locally so they are at home. Enjoy whatever portion of Wednesday floats your boat.

Looks like a road now in front of the house now, a bit safer than the river that was converging in front of the house, with the high probability of flooding @dunelm
Enjoy that expertly made coffee...
Thank’s @gennepher. I make my koffy in a cafetière - current one is insulated, which is nice. A splash of cold water before putting my scoops of ground koffy in so that the hot water doesn’t burn the beans so to speak and then leave for a good five minutes like you would for a pot of tea. A slight plunge and lift lets the grounds drop through the water before a full plunge (without resistance). A bit of a faff on I know, but it works for me.

Thank you @ianpspurs and yes, tea in a pot is much better than tea in a bag. Dad always bought tea from Carwadines in Bristol when it was a thing. Smashing rendition of In The Bleak Mid Winter.

Nearly forgot to add the perfect summation of the curiosity and bemusement (many of?) our children and grandchildren feel at our take on the journey of "the moderns" in that handcart to Hades. I do so feel it should be Nigel's millionaires club logo - reform my **** Entrench your privilege more like.

Thanks @ianpspurs for your compliments...
I thought it was a festive looking flower, but alas all I can now see now is Angry Birds. It does have overtones of that, which you obviously saw. You're free to see whatever you want to in my kaleidoscopes.....

I feel sad/guilty that my take has changed your view of the piece. Sadly now the Genie is out of the bottle I can't undo any harm. Can you ever forgive me dear lady?

It is okay... @ianpspurs
No problem...
all is forgiven....
I will try and find some more red colours to do a different kaleidoscope for today...
All is well.
You are entitled to see and say what you want when you look at my kaleidoscopes.

thanks @gennepher, I will see what happens Friday.
And no, I don't mind.
isn't that what friends are for.

The what?
Sylvania thing is a toy ain't it, and I know you still have a slight limp?

A pleasing 6.3 as I now know that this cold did have an effect on my BG levels.
I tasted for more than thirty hours, cos I just didn't fancy anything at all. Except more tea.
a less frustrating morning, except when I mentioned going the shop.
Mrs L has requested a small tin loaf for the bakers for Mrs L 's dad. Cos that was his favourite.
when I explained, that it would be just a waste, Mrs L realised.
I hate these moments, having to explain.
I can see the pain in her eyes.

just had to pause for a toilet break..... Did I miss owt?

getting my feet up.....

dry and cold, little wind, except........ Sorry! Cloudy, and a frost tonight.
be safe, be warm, be cozy, be nice, be back later, be doing kitchen duties, be eating pork loin chops for meal later. Be good, be careful, be you.

Thank you. How very curious you should use the word entitled. That is a word I have heard applied to myself a few times but I'm always convinced those using it have completely misunderstood both myself and the meaning of the word. You on the other hand have used the word perfectly.

You should always earn the word entitled.
I think you more than likely have @ianpspurs.

I just forgot.........
I have my chrimbo reading downloaded and I'm hoping to start on Rose Gardeners latest asap by DG SwankDR
then Jodi Taylors, chrimbo festive fun at St Mary's.

Mine was mainly Irish and a small percent Belgium though I m not sure what would be classed as Belgium before it was Belgium if you know what I mean .
Mine was mainly Irish with a small percent Belgium ...not sure if that just means the Netherlands

New Badger & the Cats
The new Badger often focuses looking for food around the bird table.
Half way through, you can see Cat Jade's white back paws slowly sneaking out of the same frame she is sharing with the new Badger. The cats appear to be relatively comfortable with sharing the ground at the same time as the new Badger is on it.
Later blackcat Amy wanders through, and also Midnight who's doing a last check of his territory before he comes back to my bed...

Creative.. . Kaleidoscope of red on my curtains....

Time for a nap!

Have a good day...

Hope the nap does the trick. Thank you for sharing the video and wonderful kaleidoscope. I admire the fact you give at least all the cats names. Will the new badger acquire a name, wasn't one called Kissy Kissy? I meant to ask, after all the fuss is your new heating system doing the job well?

Absolutely smashing

Thank you Ian...it did.

The new Badger will acquire a name, but at the moment I have no idea what because nothing suggests itself to me. Yes, one was called Kissy Kissy because he was always 'kissing' Midnight, and after he met his wife and had children, he became Pa Badger.

Since the snows, this is the only Badger who has come into the garden. I am still hoping the other badger family will turn up, but I don't think so now and I wish I knew what had happened to them. Or maybe I don't.

This new Badger came with a fox once, but I have not seen that fox again, yet.

The cats seem to be getting comfortable on the ground walking around with that new badger in the garden, so he doesn't seem to be a threat.

I have just downloaded some more footage of the last few days, but I haven't looked at it yet so I might see something to post tomorrow.

Yes, thank you. The central heating is working just fine.
