What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all on a dull, damp and archetypal February day here. The infamous challenge, can you do it on a cold February morning/night in, The Brecks in this case, applies. Hugs, thoughts and prayers for @gennepher with the travel, logistics and procedure. Thank you for sharing the creative and a big hug for your grandson. @Madfarmerswife hug for the fbg and today's hospital appointment - don't forget the diary. @dunelm I'm glad you enjoyed the family meal and probably made choices based on joy not carbs. Thank you for sharing the splendid art. Gabby's dollhouse on repeat here to the delight of my granddaughter but much to the chagrin of JKP and MIL: I'm watching cricket (India completely humiliating England just now) even as I type so its all gravy for me. Enjoy as much of Wednesday as possible but don't feel guilt if awful events make that impossible. Everyone has Gethsemane times.
Thank you @ianpspurs and so right about menu choices

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and much admiration to @gennepher for all her tenacity in dealing with all unnecessary rubbish the system has thrown at her.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.0 , it was a good job I wasn’t driving this morning.

Here in Tilehurst Towers both Mrs J and me, me’s and myself are living in interesting times as the Chinese curse goes. The multitude of blood tests and associated procedures from my radiotherapy procedures last year seem never ending. Like Gennepher a plethora of communications, contradictory or otherwise bombard me and help keep the postman employed.

Fortunately or unfortunately I still have hair to pull out.

Hopefully attached is Mrs J’s latest artwork. Mrs J’s artwork has been snaffled up by her friends, but they haven’t seen this one, yet. If they don’t claim the artwork it will get stored in her expanding art folder.

Stay safe, stay warm, while waving two fingers to the wind.

This is stunningly beautiful Alf... Tell Mrs. J she is amazing
@alf_Josiah

I have finally arrived at the Inn

Peace and quiet

No cats meowing for food

And I am enjoying a hot cup of tea

The lovely receptionist carried my stuff to the room.

And she has booked a taxi for me for morning.

That blooming railway station might have only been over the road but it was a heck of a distance away.

And negativity is floating away from me...

I got really worked up with all these changes with the hospital. I keep looking at the phone. And fortunately no new messages from the hospital.

Good morning everyone on another splendid if at the same time chilly and a bit damp start here in the dark and dangerous north. 6.3 this a.m. but a birthday dinner with our daughter and family was priceless.
No idea what we are doing today but a walk down to the sea through the woods might be on the cards - or not, will have to see as Mrs Miggins is not up yet - probably a restless night. She hides the effects of RLS well but needs to be constantly busying herself.
Half term is nearly upon us and we are looking forward to a week of fun and laughter when our grandchildren arrive on Saturday.
Art bit - a line of ink on some wet paper - I’m having a rest.
Hope whatever the day throws at you is handled with ease. Protect your peace of mind. I shall begin by having some koffy.
A beautiful peaceful scene... @dunelm

Just a quick line.
I'm o.k.
But, and it's a big but. Behave you lot.....
Mrs L is going through the mangle of misrememberitis.
Doctors, social service, bloods, and a lot of family have all contributed to a very long weekend and more.
The situation is obviously on going but I do need the help for Mrs L.

Oldest still hadn't got a true diagnosis.
Daughter is back in work but struggling.
And once again, other things just keep happening one after another.

Miss you all.

Pps etc. Weather is ....! And so is my footie team.

Fbg 3.9 at 06.26 this morning.
Temperature here 0 degrees but no rain expected today have appointment at the doctors for dressing change not sure if I will go or not.
@gennepher good luck for your op today I remember when I had the cataract in my right eye sorted the difference was astounding.

Hugs for the cold weather to or you to get to docs.
Thank you very much for your good wishes @JohnEGreen

Sitting in Gregg's now...not eating. Ate a few hours ago. Got a cuppa so I can sit in Gregg's, but not drinking it ..
Who is that strange person looking at the window...
On the other side of the window is the old hospital being taken down bit by bit.
Next time you hear from me it will be from the other side.....

Hope you manage to get there.
Nice to stay on track, but if ya can't or it's too difficult, pretty sure they'll understand .

5.6 this morning.
Debating whether to have a second cup of coffee. Actually, I do think I will.
It is so good that Bonnie needs (and likes) to sleep a lot in her crate. It does allow us to relax and read or get on with work.

At this moment I have chosen the relax and read option and Mr K has chosen the get on with work option.

Morning all. Thoughts and prayers with you all but especially today @gennepher who has overcome so many obstacles to reach this point yet still manages to stay strong and share a creative. Hopefully all now goes smoothly and @JohnEGreen's outcome is the same for you. @JohnEGreen hug for the low fbg and cold weather making the trip for the dressing change doubtful. Wherever possible enjoy your day and cherish those moments when you feel you know what, I got this. For me that will be not I but Christ. You are obviously at liberty to give thanks to whom or whatever.
Edit: Forgot to say @alf_Josiah pass on my congratulations to Mrs A J for her wonderful art.

All the best for today which I hope goes well.

5.6 at 05.30 today. Up a bit after a couple of cups of tea, but still OK.

To Stornoway today for the leg bandaging ritual but I'm feeling a bit sluggish and don't want to get on with breakfast. Might just leave it for brunch when I get back. On the other hand, I don't want to slip into a hypo again this week, so maybe .....

Maybe just crackers and some of the cheese spread I made a couple of days ago.
