Not too bad for roast potatoes. As we are getting towards roast potato season, you might try the retrograde starch thing: cook the day before, put in fridge over night, roast off the next day. See if your reading is lower.Morning...a roast potato fuelled 6.4 greeted me this morning...we had roast chicken last night I was firmly convinced I could resist those gorgeous packets of soft fluffy goodness with their crisp golden jackets covered in garlic & rosemary...I was wrong & before anyone asks they were delicious...raining here...raining almost everywhere apparently a day for staying put...last night the first of the Christmas present wrapping for friends we're visiting Saturday we don't see them often so need to be ready...cheered as it's nearly Friday & more importantly that's BIN day.
Oh no it's not! Your Christmas wrapping reminds me it's nearly Panti Season.it's nearly Friday & more importantly that's BIN day.
I did some work on essential fatty acids several years ago. Seem to me that the the ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 is way out for most folk and may contribute to such things as fat retention, blood pressure and perhaps brain and central nervous system function (what we were looking at). My sort of take on this is perhaps stop using vegetable oils, eating junk food (to reduce omega 6 intake) and increase meat and fish (increase omega 3 intake). Lots of stuff on the interweb in amongst the pseudo-science-alternative-humbug stuff on essential fatty acid ratio. The very same at least on linoleic acid = bad. I don't remember him mentioning omega 3 much or, indeed, how life expectancy and quality of life for people with chronic or incurable illness has changed. Did make me peddle faster though
hi @PenguinMum 5 is fine for me xMorning All. 5 is a popular one today, mine is 5.1.
Very bright start here unlike those of you further north so a good day for raking leaves. Meanwhile teax2 appropriate and toast. @gennepher I am full of admiration and not for the first time in how your are dealing with the cochlear implant problem. I do think Apple should step up and be way more helpful. @Krystyna23040 happy fbg we both seem to be back! @karen8967 hope 5 is ok for you, take care.
Have a great Thursday if you can. Stay well, stay safe.
i will have to try this dunelm i never get my ratios right for potatoes so tend to avoid them ,but sometimes the urge winsNot too bad for roast potatoes. Thanks for your interesting post, SaskiaKC. I have kept many of the letters received over the years and they make interesting reading. My cousin in the USA and I were pen friends as children and young adults. It was her Golden Anniversary last year. I found a letter she had written over 50 years ago telling me she had met this wonderful boy and hoped one day to marry him. I sent it back to her in her anniversary card and they both said it was the best present they'd had. That must be nice.I enjoy watching the videos one friend posts on FB. It's interesting to me that some of my friends who, like me, are of the letter-writing, card-mailing generation, no longer write letters or send cards. I must admit I happily go along with this for them because it saves me the cost of cards and postage, and I also enjoy sending animated e-cards with music, which paper cards just can't compare with!
I also love the fact that other friends still send paper cards, and I even have one friend with whom I correspond by real letters. There is nothing like getting a real greeting from a friend in the real mail.
It does seem as though Apple did not consider cochlear implants when updating their systems. I truly hope that for the thousands of people using this system that they sort it out quickly, so far it seems as though they are stumped - will you be sticking to android in the future?
Wow you are a lucky person, our made to measure fitted wardrobes arrive late November and Mrs MC is risking letting me fit them, I'm hoping I measured it proper, also won't have much room cus no where to put all the stuff. The company making them assures me it's easy and there is lots of online help, so when I say pass me the screwdriver, hold that door, is it Level, help should be available, now lets see how does that work?the person fitting our new wardrobes has room
Enjoy a peaceful (and tasty) day at the office. I would not be without my android phone.Apple have totally lost me through this @dunelm
The audiologist of yesterday agreed with me never to have my Processor turned on when using the iPhone, all it is any use for now is a glorified Kindle to read books at night when I don't have my Processor on. The intensity of these noise/sound alerts affected my 'hearing' and made my tinnitus worse. And true to her word she has organised an urgent appointment for me next week for remapping this processor. A text has just come through now for my appointment. Those hellish noise alerts inside my head affected my brain's perception of sound. And things sound wrong now.
Android has won me over immediately. I will be raving on all day about the virtues of Android if I start.
It is incredibly customisable for a cochlear implantee. I have installed the Cochlear app and paired what I need to pair. And much much more.
I will sing the Android's praises tomorrow morning when I post my fbg and with some amusing screenshots
But for now I am in my office, at table 13, which conveniently provides a wall socket and unlimited wifi...

Yes breakfast and unlimited coffee...
It is just one main meal for today. No other food now today.
Have a good day.
I was going to fit them, but my wife can't deal with the amount of expletives that come out of me whilst I "just follow the instructions" so a one off payment of £150 for an expert to do it (or as my wife said "someone who knows what they are doing, not like...….." so I just have to put the room back tonight. all I can say is good luck, and enjoy.Wow you are a lucky person, our made to measure fitted wardrobes arrive late November and Mrs MC is risking letting me fit them, I'm hoping I measured it proper, also won't have much room cus no where to put all the stuff.
