Great reading - big ouch for the tyres.A belated good morning, a 4.9 greeted me today, burst tyre last night travelling to the gym so no training and emergency call at the tyre centre this morning, £186 lighter and two new tyres later back on the road again. Hugs to all that need it and massive well done to you all.
Take care everyone.
And they were the "Mid" range ones, decided to put winter tyres on instead of cross climate ones (£140 each) will see if these are any better, especially as we may get some snow up here in the North later.Great reading - big ouch for the tyres.
That's exactly what Greta Thunberg did. There will always be loads of people trying to make us all scared sh**less
I did find it amusing to see loads of climate change warriors (allegedly) littering streets, parks and diving into fast food outlets for their amazing planet changing meals. Perhaps we should all charter a yacht and sail across the ocean instead of using our private jets.
Like for the fbg. Nigel has done me a favour as £ buys me more Euros ready for next week. You would have to hope this election also renders his ideas toxic - last gasp of a dying idea, cornered and lashing out wildly- for your grandson's generation onward which seems to be happening. My fbg was 5.4 this morning.
According to grandson's professors Nigel Farage is a rather foolish person with very little understanding of economics and that is derived from conversations they have had with the man himself.
Probably why his stockbroking business is rated among the worst performing in the the UK.
Don’t get me going about the price of motorcycle tyres which only run for a few thousand milesAnd they were the "Mid" range ones, decided to put winter tyres on instead of cross climate ones (£140 each) will see if these are any better, especially as we may get some snow up here in the North later.
I for one would relish the idea of a superior grumpy old man letting rip. Do feel free.Don’t get me going about the price of motorcycle tyres which only run for a few thousand miles
Talking of Euros it has been pointed out to me that when we or if we have left the EU at some point in the future we for some reason wish to re enter the EU then we can in all probability say good bye to the pound sterling as our remaing out side of the Euro zone was a concession this in all probability will not be offered again and a requirement of rentry would be the adoption of the Euro as our currency.Like for the fbg. Poor Dennis I don't blame him.
Morning All. 5.8 today could be a lot better but could be worse. Envious of @DJC3 and @Krystyna23040 with your perfect 5s but you both put the effort in. I am finding I am hungrier because of the cold weather and salads dont seem so attractive atm. Funny about Dennis needing to be carried through the rain. Dont know whats wrong with my two fur girls today but they seem to have fallen out in the night and are sparring which is unusual. Neither are very happy so hope they sort it out and pronto.
Have a good Tuesday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.
Cauliflower baileys is a typo Haha. That made me giggle. Cauliflower cheese. That sounds like a super day Debs, great BSL all the way through too. What on earth is Cauliflower Baileys though? ( I have a recipe for low carb Baileys from @maglil55 which I’ll be making again this year, but it doesn’t involve cauliflower!)
5.1 @6am
5.2 @8am when I got up
My #t2d was a blessing in disguise. I have been on my journey for almost 2 years and met some incredible people. Here are just 2 of them. DR DAVID UNWIN AND YVONNE MILTON (runs a low carb group in Liverpool).
I've learned so much and still so much to learn.
Top of my list is your health is your wealth
This was taken yesterday. At Dr David Unwin's surgery in Southport.
Today I'm doing viewings at a property we let out. A young girl of 36 turned up. They dont even get over the threshold and I'm off, talking about diabetes! She told me she was too. Bloods all over. Fbs 18, 20. Meds not working. Going to have to go on insulin possibly later today, she has appointment. DN reluctant as poor girl is already very overweight and insulin wont help. I asked what she had for breakfast. Weetabix, porridge usually. Well needless to say I informed her she could instantly bring the bs down making small changes, she loves eggs, kippers, Greek yoghurt etc. I had my box of leaflets in the car from my dr unwin trip yesterday so passed on lots of info. She has had a stroke last year!! Had physio for months.left side paralysed. She isnt even 40. I asked her does she have symptoms. Yes. Tingling all over arms legs, numb feet. It made me very sad. When will they give out advice that could help. It's not coming soon enough.
Off to a meeting at 2pm with the director of the low carb food company. Coming all the way from Wales! I'm getting lots of bread I do believe. Will see if my CGM likes it.
Here's today's screen prints. Up to 7.1 after my choc n nut biscuit but won't stay there long. Be back down in a few mins. The beauty of a CGM.
Have a good day all. Will catch up on posts later.

Just working that out. Collaboration. Once my bits done (houses sold/rented) I'm on a mission. I mean business. Its going to be diabetes all day every day! Not far off now Eric might say HahaVery sad story about the young woman Deb but you may well have turned her life around - brilliant!
What are you doing with the low carb food company? Do they want customer feedback, advice or a cover girl? You are really doing marvellous things.
We do have a spare haunch of venison but not sure the babes will go for that.
Between a rock and a hard place in much of the worlds politics but more worrying is that two main British Parties are either going to far to the left or to the right, what happened to the middle of the road Labour or Conservative politicians? Stormy times ahead I fear.
Ha poor old Kitten Cat...so brave! Thanks for asking but my two are less combative but it was Bobs who seemed “put upon”. I am only guessing but I think they may have had a tussle over Daisy’s bed on the counter which Bobs has taken a fancy to lately. But Bobs does have a choice of 2 day beds by the radiator and both bunk beds at night. They will have to sort it out between them and I am conscious of giving them equal attention today. Hope this doesnt alarm @HarryBeau lol.@PenguinMum how are the kitties getting along now? The KittenCat just survived the trauma of being PETTED by the maintenance man!!! O woe is meow for I am PETTED by a NotU!!! she said to me while he remarked on her big eyes ... well yeah dilated pupils will do that ...
He is a good man with 3 kitties of his own but he is NotMe!!!
I honestly forgot my meter this morning .... seriously.
