My #t2d was a blessing in disguise. I have been on my journey for almost 2 years and met some incredible people. Here are just 2 of them. DR DAVID UNWIN AND YVONNE MILTON (runs a low carb group in Liverpool).
I've learned so much and still so much to learn.
Top of my list is your health is your wealth
This was taken yesterday. At Dr David Unwin's surgery in Southport.
Today I'm doing viewings at a property we let out. A young girl of 36 turned up. They dont even get over the threshold and I'm off, talking about diabetes! She told me she was too. Bloods all over. Fbs 18, 20. Meds not working. Going to have to go on insulin possibly later today, she has appointment. DN reluctant as poor girl is already very overweight and insulin wont help. I asked what she had for breakfast. Weetabix, porridge usually. Well needless to say I informed her she could instantly bring the bs down making small changes, she loves eggs, kippers, Greek yoghurt etc. I had my box of leaflets in the car from my dr unwin trip yesterday so passed on lots of info. She has had a stroke last year!! Had physio for months.left side paralysed. She isnt even 40. I asked her does she have symptoms. Yes. Tingling all over arms legs, numb feet. It made me very sad. When will they give out advice that could help. It's not coming soon enough.
Off to a meeting at 2pm with the director of the low carb food company. Coming all the way from Wales! I'm getting lots of bread I do believe. Will see if my CGM likes it.
Here's today's screen prints. Up to 7.1 after my choc n nut biscuit but won't stay there long. Be back down in a few mins. The beauty of a CGM.
Have a good day all. Will catch up on posts later.
