What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Bike ride did wonders for my spirits, not so much for my BG at 6.2 but that's normal after Aerobic exercise for me, so maybe no worries.
Met some other Muddy Cyclists who persuaded me to do the 9 mile technical trail with them, good fun but all head down and crack on, I usually like to enjoy the views, pic below (not me I was taking pic) on the rocky start of Follow the Dog trail.

The owner of the bike shop on Cannock Chase is retiring this week and so today's painting is the card I did for him this afternoon, similar to one I painted for Mrs MC but with one of the red route trail markers, as he's a Mountain Biker. watercolour, A5 about 45 minutes...

I'm glad you got out for a ride and met friends and had a good time. :)
And I love the beautiful painting. Thank you for posting it.

Sorry @gennepher

Had meant to ask how the cat flap was going..?

sorry to hear your friends have baled on you..though
it's perhaps not surprising people are naturally worried.

Reading in the news about Turkish soldiers being killed in Syria, so that might ramp up again
God only knows how this could play out in places like that where the infrastructure is shot to pieces.
a most fertile breeding ground, IF that happened.

And now the Chinese are pointing fingers at the US...
please god we find a way to contain and stop this.

best wishes for the day, amazon..mmh i use a lot.
MOST times it's fine, but i think you were best keeping to the original plan

spent a few weeks waiting for a watch that Hermes (i think ) SAID was delivered..But wasn't,
that took ages to come to me, as i missed a few deliveries for one reason or another,
Delivered, returned to warehouse no one in..(really ?) and finally returned to warehouse as BROKEN in transit..Phew
all due to the change in plan, so i was told..

Putting the wood chest in front of the cat flap at night is still working @jjraak thank you for asking.

I think this business with the Coronavirus has taken a hold more than any of us realise...

But there is no reason to live in fear. That is wasted time. We can only do what we can do, but what we cannot do something about, then do the best we can and do things to the best of our ability (this is phrased clumsily, but I think you get the drift.)

Don't talk to me about Hermes...some time ago I had something (electronic equipment) worth a few hundred pounds being delivered. I was in, carried doorbell around that day so I would see it flash. Item never arrived that day. Emailed etc but was told it was delivered. But it wasn't. This went on a few weeks, and it had rained heavily. Then I cut down the rosemary bush by my front door, and shoved into the middle of that was my small expensive electronic item, but the packaging had been almost completely eaten by snails, and they were just starting on the cardboard box round my electronic item. However there was plastic sealed wrapping round the item, and so the item was still dry.

There had been no note in the letterbox to say it had been stuffed in my rosemary bush.

I was speechless.

What a frustration @HarryBeau it can be so stressful when the clock is ticking for an appointment, hug.
I assume this model does have an engine @jjraak when scooters are mentioned I always envisage the push along with one foot kind. Whichever it be, engined or manpowered well done and enjoy.

They have left mine in the blue recycle wheely bin on several occasions, luckily I have always found it before bin day.

Wow! Mine was silver though and with a flat twin Boxer engine:

That is stupid @Muddy Cyclist

I now ask for a photo to be taken of where they have left the parcel, if I realise I am not going to be back in time. Amazon do this, and I log into orders and the photo is there where they have left my item. Another organisation do this as well.

Glad the bike ride raised your spirits!
A brilliant present for the bike shop owner @Muddy Cyclist
A beautiful painting.

Just back in again. @Muddy Cyclist so glad you got out, dont fret about your bg it will reset. Lovely painting again thank you. As regards deliveries (especially Amazon) these drivers are being treated dreadfully and dont have a minute to spare when they are given their daily schedules. However, we the customers are entitled to expect better. I have a statement on Amazon saying to leave par els in my covered porch by the front door but regularly they leave stuff on the back door mat open to the elements. The only thing that will make it better is if we stop giving them business so on it goes. @HarryBeau they look so well and happy, they really have landed on their lucky paws with you.

Thank you for the compliment on my painting...
Popeye is sleeping on my lap now. So he is happy @SaskiaKC

The KittenCat was sleeping on my lap but has now moved to her fleece blanket on the bed. And I am happily watching "Where Eagles Dare."
Or rather I am happily watching Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood ...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

No excuse an 8.3 this morning, b ugger fine tuning, smacking with a lump hammer is required.

Running late again and Mrs J is not happy. I have not started on her list of keep me out of trouble jobs yet!

I see you have conquered the * *** problem -- smacked it bang on!
I just hope I remember how to do the same in future posts. :D

One of those Mondays PM...traffic was heavy but got there in relatively good time...nowhere to park...drove round three times absolutely no space available...they have reduced the number of parking spaces & doubled the fees...after thirty fruitless minutes rang the clinic & said I was giving up & going home...an appointment next week...frustrating I'm having coffee with a large splodge of double cream & will take out my frustration on the housework...lord knows it needs it!

I am so sorry. That is just insane of them.
... I'm glad you got back home OK and got some sofa time with your little angels.

In a rush this morning. No time to read through posts. Will play catch-up later today.
Hugs for anyone who needs them.
Take care...
It's very windy outside....
Another winner! All brilliant. We need to open an art shop online and sell them. Oh wait, how about Ebay? They are that good. Take bids.

Indeed when Mr PM and I got engaged his mum gave me some pointers. Always starch the collars of his work shirts (and always buy white), polish his shoes on a Sunday evening and leave by the door and never ever give him meat or fish on the bone. I completely ignored all of that but MIL and I became very good friends despite that. Mr PM went through a transition period but it all worked out in the end.
So funny.
