What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Or maybe we could start with a stage version and @gennepher and I could paint the scenery. I wonder if @jjraak is good at directing live theatre, will need a better class of actors though.

My audition:

Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow.

If music be the food of love, play on.

Have I got the part. See how I got the music bit in (sucking up).

Good morning everyone and all the non-EU white rabbits from the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of a long road with a disappointing ending at 2300 (or later if you were eating Brussels) came in at 4.7 this a.m.

My carnivour month went very well and although tricky when eating out was easy to do and so satiating that I sometimes skipped eating until dinner. Will ponder on continuing for a while and see what happens.
Morrisons (the great north alternative to Waitrose, who find it a bit cold here) are flogging beef burgers enriched with bone marrow. They come in a pair (well a tray really) and about 115g each, which is a bit more than my supposed 75g protein limit for good health but it was excellent. Second one for dinner tonight. I really ought to have chopped a bit off each and had over three days but hey!

Movement is afoot, watambezi (people on the move) and bahati nzuri (good fortune) to @ianpspurs and also to @SaskiaKC .
I am just trying it envisage what a 3/4 emptied wine bottle looks like @Muddy Cyclist - do they actually exist?
@Muddy Cyclist and @gennepher your daily paintings are always a pleasure to see and looking forwards to seeing the backdrops for the film set.
Welcome @blacknjr, hope you feel a home here.

Have a great day if you can, no need for green cards or International Driving Licenses just yet and you can still use the same lanes at airports. Koffy calls, and the call is strong.
Wonderfully witty as always. Just wondering if carnivore reflected well in your average over the month compared to previous month. And if you physically or otherwise felt the benefit?

Really? You like this one the best so far?

I am trying to do different things and variations, so that each day is a challenge.
I love @Muddy Cyclist ‘s fence as well!
Thanks @SaskiaKC
My favourite too, I love water reflections. All brilliant. Makes me want to paint. But you inspired me to do what I was once good at, play piano. Rusty so no video just yet!

Boothes, I think, are all west of the A1, nothing that fancy on the eastern seaboard. Not sure about eating more protein when we start going wrinkly - I am trying for the 0.7-0.8g per kg body weight for the protein - sometimes in, sometimes out. It’s not much so have to add fat which some folk don’t like that much.
I hate counting macros. Only even guestimared carbs. And never counted protein or fat. I feel like I should though.

Posting this in parts...( i hope it's not too much )

FILM Updates....

Right my Lovelies,

just got off the phone, can't say too much, but a few are interested, which is the good news,

Sadly however those likely to be backing the potential movie have asked for a re-write,
AND have offered some 'Interesting' ideas of how it should 'Flow' on the screen..

So to-whit, they want to encourage the younger crowd AND the regular Movie buffs,
SO want us to pitch it at the techie, more iPhone screen watchers, then cinema audiences..
may be released in Cinema, then days later to apple or netflix, so i'm told, by those in the 'know'

So they want a tad of the “Ready Player One” type of name checking, this time for nods to Movie links etc,
rather then gaming.

And with the Post Apocalyptic scenario playing a bit 'harder' then I first envisaged.

My first thoughts was this would be a smaller, low key, more personal account of how the Plainsfolks managed, but once tom Hanks gave the script a Provisional Nod..(cheers for the call to Him @PenguinMum ..
don't know WHAT you said, but it worked wonders, )

THEN the floodgates opened, and the talk, and I must stress that, it's ONLY talk..is of this being aimed as a summer block buster.

however they.... want a say in a few big names in the field to play pivotal roles..

Namely Dr david Unwin and Dr Fung for their work on T2D,,two main characters

Now a lot of CGI in the movie is planned, aka avatar

SOOo.. Doc Emmett has been suggested for Dr Unwin,

and while stereotyping, I hope Dr Fung see it as a positive and a compliment,
as he battles fearlessly with his nemesis, Carbs..,
....as he's lined up to be played by Jackie Chan.

Don't shoot me, i'm just the messenger..and it's their money after all.

So here is my first draft of the main scenes

Opening Scene

    • a view from outer space..circa 1980...some static noise in background.
(shot of ground sites, hearing this and a few scenes where aircraft pilots, controllers, civilian and military, alongside some amateurs, all look puzzled at the 'static' coming through )

    • ...then we pan out to the sounds out there in the void, then back in, through the clouds, down to nations, cities, streets then down to surgery levels.

    • At first just one patient, diagnosed and the awful aftermath, at first it's just our patient, but then others one by one becoming one large Mosaic, are captured by the camera, and then the scene cuts back to everyday uk,.. as many trudge home reflecting on the news at surgery, and then the shock on their faces, as seen on one or two, when they read all the books at the local library on T2D, and see the future written in COLD HARD FACTS.

    • All the with the “Sound of silence” gently playing in the background and reaching a crescendo on last screen, a patient face grey with shock, emptying fridge..of all they knew

(seen as a metaphor for the end of the Joy in life, as they wait patiently for death)
TBC...

I only got to right my lovelies and I was splitting my sides......

Good morning everyone from a wet and miserable dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of steady as you go and steering a straight course hit the target at 4.5 this a.m.
Food yesterday was: a.m. 1 pot Japanese tea and 1 cafetiere black koffy. 1230 1 slice of bacon and 1 egg with a black koffy. 1830 one burger topped with cheese and bone broth gravy. 1930 a very few pork scratchings and Merlot. 1L sparkling water and 3 glasses tap water throughout the day.

@jjraak - marvellous dedication to the scrip daaarhling and star spangled sparklers for the toe dip into the land below five. Will you be booking further outings this week?

@Muddy Cyclist, could well have been the crumble but I suspect that the car incident caused Mr Cortisol to play a re-run of the sci-fi hit Gluconeogenesis staring Larry Liver, a short film about protein store raids. Insurance will sort out the poorly back from shouting woman - they are very keen in these sort of claims nowadays. Hopefully she is right as rain.

Breaking news: While we have been on the air, the noise of the rain has ceased and all is very quiet out in the outside.
Have a great day if you can, I have no idea why I got up this early on this my day off of my week off, best shove off and make some koffy.

That's a mighty fine looking graph.

The KittenCat was sleeping on my lap but has now moved to her fleece blanket on the bed. And I am happily watching "Where Eagles Dare."
Or rather I am happily watching Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood ...

Beautiful spring daffodils from both you @Muddy Cyclist and @SaskiaKC

I live a bit high up, and mine don't come out yet in bud or flower...

I am going to cheat...when I go to collect my Amazon parcel today from the pick up point, I am going to sneak into the garden centre and buy a pot of blooming daffodils and take a photo in my garden and say spring is here in my garden...
You've let the cat out of the bag so will get rumbled as soon as we smell 'em!

Good Morning and another high reading, 6.8 after going down throughout yesterday to a 5.3 by midnight.

@gennepher a lovely sunrise captured well, a bit like this morning here.

To bike ride or not to bike ride that is the question? Spirit is willing flesh is weak this morning. Another cup of coffee and then maybe I will be ready to face the day.

Do whatever you have planned well today.
These last sentences Lways give me a little boost. Hope mrs mc had a lovely birthday
