What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

This is the best software I have found for HDR.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/HDRsoft-Ltd-5-Photomatix-Pro/dp/B002CIP12U

It is not cheap... however nor is it expensive... when you see what it can do.
here are a few of my shots

Some awesome pics, @poemagraphic .

Probably above my skill set
( and patience, if I'm honest..) but i shall read up later on the magic involved...thanks for the post

So many posts to catch up on. 5.5 for me this morning. We are trying to get over some terrible news yesterday. My daughter and her family ( husband, 2 daughters of 8 and 6 plus 2 Great Danes) have been away camping for the weekend. Their youngest dog a rescue pup called Huxley got spooked by something in the night and ended up biting the 6yo face. She is fine - was sent home from hospital with antibiotics and calpol and they dont think there’ll be much scarring. I am shaking just thinking about what might have been.
The rescue home Huxley came from said they couldn’t take him back as he could never be rehomed now so after much discussion with them and the vet and the family they had to take the decision to say goodbye to him and let the vet put him to sleep.
She had already made an appointment with a dog whisperer to visit on Wed to help with his boisterousness. We were all of the opinion that he’d been taken fromhis mother too early by some of his problems, hard to say with rescue dogs, but he’d never shown signs of aggression. Even that night, it wasn’t a vicious frenzied attack, it was a scared reaction but sadly not something that anyone could afford a repetition of.
It feels like a day of mourning. My granddaughter is quite perky, her older sister seemed more upset but they had a lot of cuddles and a good talk about love and loss and I’m sure they’ll be fine.
Phew! Will continue reading everyone’s posts now.

I hope they will be, and have no scars physical or emotional. Hugs to you all.

Good morning everyone

5.9 last night after a light dinner of salad.

After a decent night’s rest this morning i was pleasantly surprised with 5.7 at 6:00 am when some dawn phenomenon was probably on.

It was a long day at work and quite tiring. I am so looking forward to the weekend already .. and it is just Tuesday. On the positive side, with Ramadhan around the corner, Jakarta is beginning to feel a bit festive...

Gd day everyone

11.1 at 5am

Disappointed with these higher readings I am getting in a morning. But I didn’t sleep
properly last night. I was waking up every half hour or so. I didn’t want a repetition of the herd of elephants trampling all over me, from the night before.

>^..^<

Morning all. The paint home mix didn't go well. Hammerite and Lidl plus No. 3 thinners produced a grey with black settling out after 15 mins. Won't risk using it. Next effort is to buy some Hammerite silver and attempt to darken it with a few drops of Hammerite black. The genuine OEM paint is £25 a tin. In case you didn't know, B.O.A.T stands for "Bring out another thousand".

FBG 7.7 mmo/lt, Might have forgotten my meds yesterday. Oh yes, weight now down 16lbs since March 1st.

Have a good day everyone.

Not good all round. Condolences to your family and hope that they will all be OK.

A very good question @poemagraphic. Whoever gets to the bottom of why blood glucose readings do what they do should receive a Nobel prize. Just when you think things are nicely settled you get a rogue set of figures.
After a day of salad and ham at lunch and fish and cauli cheese for dinner ( all home made) only had water to drink. My reading at bed time was 7. I got up this morning to 6.1 compared to a usual 4.8 to 5.2. Absolutely no idea why I feel fine.
I had the misguided motion that I was in charge of my body - obviously not my inner self must have been partying hard yesterday. The least it could have done was send me an invite to join in the fun!!
Have a good day

So yesterday had such a lovely relaxing and tranquil day at Sheringham Park walking through the Rhodedendroms. Carbs 22g. Blood sugars in the 4s and 5s all day - even after eating. 4.8 before bed. All perfect.

Went to bed and suddenly remembered that I have retinal screening at the hospital. My relaxed and tranquil state shattered - couldn't sleep for ages. 6.1 this morning. So @ianpspurs I do think that you were right when you saw a link between my lower fbs and level of tranquillity. Definitely something to work on.
