@gennepher what a lovely painting, so evocative.
@Muddy Cyclist the finished work does not disappoint, it's a strong finish to the set :)

today's art catch up -
no 1 - just a quick bit of colour practice to get the green glare out of my system and to remind me not to get too fiddly. (Windsor and Newton - but not the blue that fades ;))

no 2 - anemones (plus a pink tadpole where I inadvertently splashed the paint :D) done with the Kuretake paints

Thank you very much for the compliment @geefull

The first picture is beautifully bright and sunny. I love it.

A gorgeous bunch of anemones (complete with an equally gorgeous escaping tadpole!)

My paint splashes are never so graceful :)

good afternoon all :)

4.5 today

gorgeous day here today, thankfully mostly without the freezing wind we had yesterday :)
over to mum's today to check in with her and we took the chance to have barbecue for lunch out in the garden, chicken and sausage with lashings of salad and coleslaw for me plus some potatoes precooked then grilled on the barbecue for mr gee and mum.
One of her 'neighbours' across the road was doing his social distancing like Star Trek 3D chess today, 6 feet away and 6 feet up putting the felt on the roof of his new garden shed whilst chatting to people passing by :hilarious:

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

Another success, like both but admire your ability to paint flowers and glass with tadpoles.

Not managed to finish my painting first in vistas or maybe not, taken from a photo I took of an old tree on the farm at the top of our Lane, liked the clouds. Will try and finish it this evening depends on how the time passes. Where does time go?

Good Morning and another high 6.4

@jjraak thanks for the links, sad, uplifting, worrying and optimistic.

My annual Hay Fever is playing up, I hope. Just read on the BBC News advise to Hay Fever Sufferers, non the wiser.

More sunshine on a beautiful morning, take care.

5.9 . So, I widen the diet, include red meat most days for a week and even 1 glass of red wine yesterday. The result seems to be I watch bg suffer; post-prandial and random readings into the 5s and 2 days fbg well over 5.4. Coincidence is not correlation so there may be other factors in play - I would have thought the slice of birthday cake was out of my system by now. On the plus side red wine left my resting pulse where it was yesterday and didn't have a major impact on sleep score. Balancing Bg control, nutrition and wellbeing is like a Rubik's cube with far too many missing tiles. May your day be safe, as stress free as possible with moments of jaw dropping awe at the wonder of creation.

The work the Oxford university scientists are doing looks quite promising. They are real experts in the field. The more I read about them the more optimistic I feel that we will have a vaccine by the end of the year.

Another cause for cautious optimism is that the lockdown the UK won't be lifted anytime soon. This will keep us all much safer.

Morning...another decent sleep I'm getting spoilt now...a beautiful sunny morning a little fresh but acceptable...Beasts fed & outside again terrifying the local twigs plants & shrubs...a little paperwork to do something I've ignored for several weeks must do it today...so another coffee then straight onto that then off to our chemist to queue for a prescription...woke to a 6.9 and that's fine for me.

Good morning everyone from another wonderful blossom falling morning in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of “salads are not the only food - and probably not food at all” came in at a stonking 5.9 this am - Salads have now been moved to Mrs Miggins’ part of the fridge with a “diabetics do not cross” tape afixed.

Lockdown questions.
Is Uzbekistan the most inclusive country in the world?
Do you ever get the feeling that the house is watching you?

Koffy -
Have the most wonderful day that you can - if you decide that it will be good - so it will be.

Intriguing local spelling of lambs - very niche. Can you enlighten me as to just what you think cloud bread is and how bad my life would need to be before I felt that would be an improvement?

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen are we all going to be good children today or are we going to be naughty, I shall be naughty and if I'm lucky Mrs J will slap my legs and if I'm really naughty she might get the whips out .

The benefits of late evening snacking are a 7.3 this morning.

Today I might just be nice to somebody, but being on lockdown the chances of meeting somebody are very slim.
Well who ever you are and where ever you are, remember big brother could just be watching over you, but throw caution to the wind and enjoy yourselves.

I have tried many recipes for things with the word ‘bread’ in the title. I think that most (read 99.99r%) are at best, a waste of good eggs. At a push, I make a mug bread if I want to make a bacon or similar sandwich:

25g almond flour
A bit of olive oil - maybe a bare tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
Pinch salt

Stir it all together in a small microwavable bowl or a fat mug.
Microwave for 90 sec
Turn it out
Let it cool to slice in half or just eat hot with butter and whatever you fancy on it.
