This may not come out too well but all birthday cards from this point on have zero chance against this. 7 yo grandson to Julie

There was also a huge body shaped figure so Julie could have a hug from him and his sister.

Always the very best type of card to receive.

Morning all. Fbg of 5.7 today which taken as the sole indicator of my wellbeing is bad. The other key indicators (sleep score and length, oxygen variation during sleep, weight, blood pressure, lipids, resting pulse rate) are good/very good as I would expect from low carb but otherwise well balanced meals. Last evening was the first time in a fortnight my 2 hr post prandial reading was over 5 (5.4) but I felt satiated and thoroughly enjoyed rib eye steak after about a year of very low enjoyment of meat. I have also reintroduced onions into my diet over the past month - much happier bunny taste wise. Spanish? ones in h/m coleslaw seem to keep bg lower - as does red cabbage and plenty of mayo. I just need passata, onion, basil and garlic combo to be welcomed back in big enough quantities now. Julie's birthday today so she is 2 years older than me for exactly 2 months. Lamb shoulder, asparagus and broccoli seems like a plan - I will have gravy and mint sauce - maybe even a glass of the wine mountain lake we have. Toodle pip.
Happy birthday wishes to Julie @ianpspurs. Enjoy your day together.:joyful:

Blimey Krystyna are they up for a spot of bribery & corruption what will they accept...Bonio biscuits or a good old fashioned pigs ear...shhhhhhhh lets keep this between us no one else needs to know...tell Poppy & Archie I'll be in touch later
Poppy and Archie say that Bonios and pigs ears will do nicely - and they won't let on to anyone.

All. Several posts - almost two pages worth - have been deleted from this thread for persistent bickering.

While this thread is in the general chat section and therefore open to a range of topics being discussed aside from FBG, as pointed out in the first post on the thread, it is still subject to the forum ethos and rules. I quote:

‘Every thread, including threads in General Chat, are subject to the forum Ethos and Rules. This means that clique type behaviours, language and ‘us and them’ polarisation will be moderated the same as on any other thread. In the past we have had chat threads that have degenerated into small In Crowd groups being unwelcoming to newcomers, or snarking about events and people elsewhere on the forum. Hopefully this new thread will experience none of that. One way to keep this thread a friendly and welcoming place for everyone is to remember that anyone can see anything you say, whether they are logged into the forum or not, and that all rules on language and friendly support apply here as much as anywhere else on the forum.’

I can make a choice to move away to the fbs with just a little chat and may do so but I will be extremely sad.
So would we Deborah but as you say that is your choice to leave the thread we need to be able to disagree with some comments when it is necessary its the way we do that which is important...to remove any attempt to discuss & explore what other members say that would make this thread redundant

Phew - while you were moderating the posts I couldn't log onto the thread as it had completely disappeared. I am so pleased that our thread is still running as I do love this thread. For a few minutes I thought the whole thread has been deleted.

Again maybe now is not the time to mention it I don't actually have any bonios or pig ears...there is poor Harrys milky bones but I'd have to smuggle them out.
Poppy and Archie say that Harry's milky bones will be fine. I did explain that poor Harry wouldn't have any treats if they had his milky bones - so they said just smuggle out a couple each and that will be fine.

I'm not very pet focused at the moment Krystyna just had to rescue Lola from the summer house roof she was stranded there miaowing...I'm sure she could have just jumped on the fence as I walked back down the garden tripped on one of the steps...have a scraped finger...also have a hole in my leg where Lola (again) gripped it as she was about to tumble off it...honestly thesespet injuries are accruing.

To Mrs @ianpspurs Happy Burthday, great card.

@gennepher fine art, nice that it comes from and brings back memories of good times.

I'm saddened reading that some regular thread members are considering leaving or becoming less active here. It's been not quite a year since I found this thread and the help and support from all regular posters have been the one major factor in keeping me positive in the fight against diabetes. We now need support from another enemy c19 so please don't go! Leaving also weakens the ability of the thread to remain the friendly haven we all seek, we should not be afraid or offended by friends opinions, information, jibes or comments, non are offensive, maybe sometimes worded awkwardly in the heat of the emotional moment. We are all different and that difference needs to be embraced, not run away from this will change nothing and there will be little left of the friendliness of the thread and further afield no hope for the survival of a reasonable human society.

Bickering though is not away forward, achieves little. Be brave, embrace others knowledge and opinions, be prepared to accept our differences, it does not mean you have to change your opinions or character and may even prove to be advantageous.

Oh no - so sorry that you have been injured. Hope you recover quickly. Do you have plenty of dressings and plasters and something to disinfect your injuries?

Glad you were able to rescue Lola from the summer house. Perhaps when she is older she will realise that she could have actually have got down from the roof herself - rather than putting you at risk.

Mr K has ridden motorbikes since he was young. Never hurt himself. Then nearly 3 years ago he tripped over both labradors and broke his hip. He was the third patient that week at the Norfolk and Norwich to have fallen over a dog or a cat and broken a bone.

So during this crisis he is not riding his motorbike - which is sensible - but your post has reminded me that our pets can cause injuries also.

Its a personal choice. I'm just not happy discussing politics on here. I joined it as it was just what I was looking for in a thread. Light hearted, fun, friendly. I learned something every day. It has always been a pleasure. Especially love the art work. The photos shared. The wonderful stories. I personally don't want to read any more about politics, I'm already saturated by it on TV, radio, social media, surrounded by it. Doing my very best to understand what's happening in the world. So I am doing whats right for me. I understand others are happy to discuss anything and everything on here. Its not for me at the moment.
