dogs..like regular army..have a battle plan and wait..and wait.

cats more like a guerilla army of passive resistance.
until they spot a moment of opportunity, POUNCE and then blend back into the local population once again

:bag:

a repost, but a worthy one..

I do like the cat diary vs dog diary. As a dog owner for many many years - the dog diary is spot on.

As I'm sure we all know and certainly what I have always though has now been voiced by those in charge and who we hope really know. Life like this is here for a long time.....

BBC news...

His warning came as Professor Chris Whitty, the government's chief medical adviser, said forms of social distancing would be needed for a "long time".

He said it was "a wholly unrealistic expectation" that the UK suddenly moved from lockdown to everything being lifted.

"We are going to have to do a lot of things for really quite a long period of time."

Prof Whitty added that the best "way out" was via a "highly effective" vaccine or drugs, but said the chance of having those within the next calendar year was "incredibly small".

He said: "This disease is not going to be eradicated, it is not going to disappear."

This lady got back from Spain a day before they locked that country down, she lives there half the year, and was coughing something aweful, she walked past me in my front garden and muttered don't worry it's just a cold, of course I was and am.
That is absolutely not OK. Mr K has really bad asthma made much worse by pollen. He spent all day outside today sorting his shed out. Forgot to take his inhalers and allergy meds so is now coughing really badly (it's the tree pollen at the moment) so there is no way we are going out - it would be so unfair to do so. Anybody coughing for any reason should not be going out.

Have resisted making any comments about forgetting to take his meds. Am being positively saintly - the perfect wife.

Really good afternoons work. Only sent out funny dog videos to two people.
Have rewritten several exercise sheets. It is actually really nice to have the time to rewrite them. I always know what I want to say but quite often I am not happy with what I have written. Or they look OK at the time but when I look at them again there is definitely room for improvement.

Have a funny for you.

But a
Hug to Mr K..

Nasty.

And when we feel good, far too easy for us men. (Yes, I know :sorry: ) to think we don't need any meds, we're supermen..

So kudos to you for having that saintly head on.
Plenty of time later to remind him you DO know best .;)

And agree if you're coughing now, your a social pariah..

People will be taking stronger action as we move through this with those like madam above who fail to be part of the herd and protect us all, sad to say.

Respect & Protect.
It's our duty.
For the foreseeable future.

Agree.

I usually find that what I have written in that first draft, lays out the frame work.

And a time away gives me a fresh perspective.. that helps me sharpen up a few points and clarify that, WHICH seemed clear when first writing, could be misconstrued or simply be nonsense.

So yes, the time spent on it before posting,
Is always time well spent

good evening all :)

4.1 today

off out early to do the weekly shopping for ourselves and mum today, I agree @Muddy Cyclist shopping has become stressful, even before I leave the house I can feel it :sorry: We managed to get most things except bread flour although I forgot to put coleslaw on my list.
This afternoon we went over to mum's to drop off her shopping after we'd wiped everything down. Whilst we were there we put in our exercise by restackiing some logs to dry in the shed, (the tree kind not the ground up sawdust kind :D).
When we got back I decided to have a go at making some coleslaw, not bad but 'could do better' I think a mark of B- is indicated.

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@gennepher the pastels are impressive and the 'studio' looks like a lovely peaceful place to work, I've never tried outdoor sketching so I've put it on my 'to do' list ;) and I love J's pottery.
@Muddy Cyclist what a lovely moody sky in that painting :) will you do an extended series of 'vista's'?

Art catch up for today
no1 - Inspired by a bank of sunlit fog lying in a valley near the road, it turned the trees into ghosts.
Daler Rowney paints.

Thank you @geefull for the compliment

Two beautiful paintings.
I love both. Those banks of fog are hard to do. Yours is very successful...

Well caught mists, did you paint it in, not paint that area or pull it out with wet brushes and kitchen roll?
Like I have said before really like your flowers. fab.

I am doing 3 in my Vista series all of my Scotland Road Trip, working on Black Cullen Mountains at the moment.

Life from now on may be based on memories and Calling on past experiences, I feel sorry for the younger generations who may miss out on the freedom my generation (71 this year) experienced.

loved both paintings. I particularly like sunlight on low lying fog and you have captured it very well.

Absolutely no idea why so low. Not a strenuous day yesterday. Except for the bike ride. Maybe that was it. Even sat with a book and tea for an hour in the afternoon. Low Carb food, yes, BUT two of @Rachox delicious lemon and almond shortbread late in evening with tea.
@gennepher the castle is interesting. I am guessing that "wooden" door is actually part of the pot. It's most effective
@Muddy Cyclist Some People! Agree with you about shopping stress. Am sure you will make great coleslaw. Once you get it right- shop bought is just - meh.
Peering out trying to identify a bird. May have to put cleaning windows further up the jobs list.
@Krystyna23040 Perfect wife indeed. Ofc he doesnt need you to tell him. Bet he thinks " stupid me" or equivalent every time he coughs. Also Ofc he will forget again when he is feeling well.
Top of the To Do list. KEEP BUSY.
Other than that I have some vegetables to cook, seeds to plant. Why are all the radish ready now? When that are three rows planted a fortnight apart. Maybe i can invite neighbours to pick some, if they don't have prêt à Manger radish in their garden.
Did I mention they refused Mange tout plants? Apparently they are an English thing.
Some garden building maintainence planned for today. If I can find
a: the tools, several needed.
b: white spirit
c: suitable brush - refer to a
d: the correct paint
e: the motivation.

Now time to get on with getting on.

Keep/get well, stay safe everyone.

5.8 this morning. Off for doggie walk shortly as Mr K has stopped coughing and is safe to go out. It is amazing how well his asthma and hay fever meds work ,- when he remembers to take them. Apparently tree pollen is really high at the moment.
