What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@MrsA2
Thank you so much for the cauliflower cheese bread recipe. Finally got round to making it. Hunting down cauliflower here was hard work, but worth it in the end

I used two cupfuls of grated cauliflower and sprinkled the top with ersatz parmesan powder. No square tin, but it was fine in a deep round one. Turned the heat down for five mins to allow the top to brown when i could see the edges were nicely crispy. Round tin though means wedges not squares and i had three. Best low carb "bread" yet

So here is my first Sea Cliffs watercolour. My son drove off to Cornwall with his Caravan this morning, rather him than me. Anyway I thought about the Cornish coast and it's many coves, this taken from a plein air sketch I did a good few years ago A4 and about 90 minutes.

I think it was originally sketched near Boscastle or Tintagel.

Beautiful @Muddy Cyclist it is evocative of the coves around that part of the world. I can smell the sea...

Good later afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and birfday painters, been AOL recently. Please don't ask.

A young wet behind the ears 6.6 this morning.

Hopefully ab normal posting will resume along with abuse tomorrow, well maybe.
Now I must nip on the keyboard and murder a rendition of Happy birthday for our resident Picasso @gennepher be grateful you won't get to hear it.
:)

good evening all :)

4.6 this morning

mixed showery weather today and definitely a few more strangers about.

Looks like we're heading for mandated face coverings in shops from the 10th. here in Scotland, our local village shop has always requested the wearing of masks since CV19 though :)

The compulsory mask thing is welcome when we can get so many visitors ;) although there have apparently been some comments about 'boycotting' Scotland because of it:sorry:

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@SlimLizzy - that looks tasty :D

@gennepher - Many Happy Returns of the day :joyful: and I love the cat painting, it really does have that zen quality of calm space that cats sometimes inhabit.

@Muddy Cyclist - brilliant spacial feeling to that 'sea cliff' painting, looks like this new series is going to be every bit as successful as your 'stiles' were, you charm me every day :joyful:

Arty bit -

couple more small letterboxes (approx half A5), still working on my skies ;)

no 1 - trying to use more colour

Am so late posting fbs. Was 5.8 this morning. Last night it was 4.0 and I think it dropped lower during the night as I woke up with a headache.

Have had such a good day doing admin. I think I may have almost done as much work as @HarryBeau does when she is having a full on work day.

While Mr K is watching the formula 1 practice I will catch up on the forum.

Thanks for your appreciation of my artistic efforts.

These letter box paintings are very effective, colour in the sky is working well, again you have layered the distant hills with great skill, so much depth, like the detail in your grass and shrubs, not overdone but Gives the impression of lots of subtle detail.

Thank you very much @geefull for the birthday wishes and cat painting compliments :)

I love both the letterbox paintings.
And so much detail in yet apparent simplicity.
I absolutely adore the second one, the green one, but I love the sunset one as well!

Good Morning and 6.3 for me today.

If the weather stays fine as promised, daughter and SIL are popping in with youngest grandaughter to sit in the garden for coffee. We said they could always sit in the house if wet but they are nervous as they are all three now in contact through work and pre school with so many different groups of people.

Son arrive safely in Cornwall at 10.30 am yesterday by starting early he missed all the traffic and had a very easy journey so all well there.

I hope you all are able to find something exciting and wonderful from your day, keep safe.

Fbg 6.3

Temp 36.1

Dramatic clouds this morning.

Good day yesterday. Busy all day with some links a friend sent that were only valid yesterday. So, I had no time to practice my Zen cat paintings.

So, about to start 2nd cat attempt now.

Friend sent some more links that are only valid for today and it starts at 8 am, so a cat quickie.....help!!!!

Take care
Life is so busy, so many interesting things online to do during lockdown.
Have fun!

5.2 this morning. Was a higher than usual 6.5 last night after a 15 carb day.

At least dawn phenomenon didn't kick in this morning.

We are off to Oxburgh Hall for 9.30am this morning. So looking forward to walking around the woodland. Weather looks good.

Good morning all from a breezy but mild Suffolk. Plenty of fireworks let off yesterday celebrating 244 years of independence. Loud one from next door startled the pups as we were playing. Ashton, our neighbour, clearly showing her boys how to celebrate whilst husband away until October in Mid East. I love the name Braxton for their oldest. Flashing light show and subdued disco also on offer in this Close. So, fbg of 4.7 or 8 today - ok with that if at all related to reality. Other data and the elusive well tuned feeling/glow not there atm despite Libre data and step count being in PB range for some time. @Muddy Cyclist enjoy the family time inside or out; @Krystyna23040 I hope the walk is everything you wish for and a little more; @geefull , great artwork again and I too like the second one best. I hope anyone venturing into reopened churches is suitably uplifted spiritually. @karen8967 - you too. Oh no, I've said too much, I haven' said enough.
