What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hugs @SlimLizzy
I hope you manage to get the stuff you need.
My opinionated neighbour would probably have coriander seed, and cloves. But am absolutely not going to ask her.
Instead will have to accept a shopping trip tomorrow with other neighbours. I was hoping to give it a miss this week. There is very little that cannot wait. Except the walnuts.
Recipe states leave to dry for 2-5 days and we are now on day five.

I am missing the creature comforts also. The highlight of my visits to the great outdoors is the visit to the cafe before the journey home. It is not the same with the cafe's closed. Although we are now looking for close by pubs that we can visit and drink coffee and/or eat lunch in their garden. Hopefully we will - at some point be back to normal.
But, but even in normal no Pret at Holkham - who does that work for:angelic:?

Yesterday's food
19.07.2020
Not really any proper meals
CWC x 2
Couple of hours later, cold sausage.
Grazed on cherry tomatoes.
Ham slice rolled round rocket and coleslaw.
Cup of tea
Few mangetout from the garden.
Some of @MrsA2 cauliflower cheese bread.
Might have to stop making that. It's too irresistible.
Another cold sausage
And another
Few more cherry toms. So tasty and right outside the door.
Large piece of brie.
Several glasses of wine throughout the day.
Senior moment Lizzy? Was this intended for the what have you eaten today thread? Cherry toms and rocket for me please.

Am not able to keep up - the garden produce is overwhelming me.
Still working on the pickled walnuts. Have worked out a way to use ground coriander and we will manage without cloves. So that is tonight's project. If I have time/energy might manage get some more runner beans in the freezer. Now the french beans are have started production, will be eating those to start with.
Have used two courgettes - 24 left. To make fritters for my dinner and the freezer.

Morning...been decluttered like mad moving things around trying to use my space more effectively..
Snap.
The highlight of my visits to the great outdoors is the visit to the cafe before the journey home.
we are lucky to have Wilfrid our VW campervan, cooker, coffee, relax, loo. Tomorrow we are booked in at Powys Castle Gardens so taking our own creature comforts in Wilfrid.
@dunelm Great dotty art experiments, keep practicing. :)
@gennepher what a day you had its a wonder you managed any art at all, well done.
@ianpspurs sounds like your day at the sea was a success even for a grumpy old man:) family bring so many blessings. Did you dip you toes in that North Sea?
@SlimLizzy Ripe tomatoes French warmth what I would give for that here, missed our holiday there this year, in point of fact we should be down on the Loire now.

I have had a crazy day moving furniture, three rooms now completely changed around furniture in upstairs study now in my studio downstairs along with many books, upstairs study now completely refurnished with furniture from MILs that works better in the study. Upstairs bedroom completely changed around and good tidy out, shattered so quick seaside picture inspired by @ianpspurs visit, kids playing on the beach with strong sun reflecting off the sea, probably more West Coast than East.

A5 watercolour 15 minutes.

good evening all :)

was 4.0 this morning

I've got nothing done today really, don't know where the day went :sorry:

Just a quiet pottering day, picked some gooseberries before he birds nicked them all ;) Almost finished dealing with the blackcurrants from Mum's garden so there's that done I suppose, it took a surprising amount of time.

Mr gee has requested home made ice cream so I'll make some later in the week when we've been shopping. I'm contemplating rum and raisin (with a touch of lemon to keep it from being too sweet) and some 'summer fruit' since we've got quite a bit available at the moment :)

Tomorrow morning we have to take the car to the garage to get a small (hopefully) job done so we may treat ourselves to an early walk before we go to mum's to get her shopping list :)

Hope your day treats you kindly :)

@gennepher - what a horrible shock for you but well done for your quick thinking, no use looking for the third 'thing' (yep, my gran always said things come in threes :D), the set is now complete what with your wrist sprain. and you still managed a picture after all that! Cute portrait of Popeye :)

@dunelm - interesting new technique :)

@Muddy Cyclist - I like both of these pictures, tha first landscape has some lovely colour work and the 'indigo' of the second beachscape is very effective at giving a feeling of those high shadows you get in hot weather :)

Art bit -
still trying out things, today is flicking colour into the foreground :)

Thank you for you kind appreciation of my art.
The flicking worked really well great wave effect. Like the hills your magic applied once again and then the light in the sky, a wonderful painting, very well done.

Agree, it looks more west coast than east. The waves look different all over the country. There are subtle differences.

Nice beach, I like it. I love the sparkling sun in the sea.

Thank you @geefull

I love your painting, your special green hills, the sky, the reflection of the yellow light in the sky in the sea, and the flicking of colour creating the foreground waves effects.

Fbg 6.2

Temp 36.1

Sunny blue skies morning.

My daughter in Adelaide Australia and her son both had temperatures, and so under Adelaide rules, anyone who has a temperature had to go for Covid-19 testing.
They had to stay at home until the results came through. The results came through about 18 hours later. They were both clear.

She sent me a message in the night. She now thinks it is time to begin making face masks, and asks me to send her my patterns I use etc etc.

So that is my day worked out.

Take care.
