What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Please make sure you only lop (small:angelic:) trailing parts of tree/hedge young Alfred. Always check your zip before lopping - old Fenland adage. Maybe ask Mrs A J to check (I imagine she has eagle eyes) just to be on the safe side:angelic:
Ian,
Mrs J has Eagle eyes, and one of her favourite saying is dead budgies don't fall out of cages.

good evening all :)

4.8 this morning

took my sore toe to the charity shed today, wearing my widest shoes so nothing would catch on it :hilarious:

toe was mostly fine, not so much my forehead which received a 'dunt' ;) from a curtain pole in passing, it was leaning against the wall behind the door and toppled over as I closed the 'socially distancing' door to the workroom. Not too bad, not much of a galaxy of stars to be seen but I now have a matching head and toe purple theme going on.

A cold compress and lots of tea and sympathy have reduced the egg to a quail egg :D and I'm just glad it wasn't worse ;)

Got takeaway on the way home (so that's definitely a plus mark on the score sheet), and very good it was too :)

Hope your day is treating you gently ;)

@dunelm - I particularly like the foreground hill with the shapely tree on it's summit :)

@gennepher - a productive day for you :) and I agree your zen painting is very finely balanced as it is :)

@alf_Josiah - it's because of Dr Blais I know that bosons have whole number spin and fermions generally half odd number spin ;) - do I understand, not at all :hilarious:

@Muddy Cyclist - a very fine pen and pencil landscape, I really like it, the hedge is particularly effective as is the light on the field behind :)

art bit -
not too sure about this one - it's sort of inspired by a picture I saw on the internet (can't find the reference unfortunately), I used the cling film for the tree area on the right, busier than my usual style but interesting to have a go :)

Oh dear for the 'egg' on the forehead. You are in the wars. Hope forehead and toe get better soon @geefull

Thank you for the zen painting compliment :)

The foreground in this painting is a little busy for my tired eyes. My tired eyes want your soothing gentle compositions at this time of day, so that I can wander in the hills towards dreamland....
The cling film on the tree works. It is very effective. It is a good technique. It is good to experiment.
I will have a look again in the morning.

It is now morning, and I can see the tree area looks more luminescent, and I presume that was the cling film effect? The detail of the foreground is interesting, a lot going on there.

Good Morning and 5.7 today.

Long day at MILs yesterday not arriving home until 8pm with a VW camper once again full of items to sort, the stuff not considered rubbish or charity shop but may be of interest to family.

Read all the posts but my tired mind seems to have jumbled so many threads and so I apologise for not commenting appropriately. Did like @dunelms landscape and @gennepher Orchid. Xen work both artists talent flourishing in the Zen App.

I think @geefull your experiments are working very well and it's goo do to do, still admire you distant hills. I can see you have put lots of work into the foreground grass and making the clingfilm work, nice.

Lots of informative stuff caught up on, I did not know about the 5 gentlemen @dunelm, I now know everything about String Theory had no idea it was anything to do with A Capella singing :joyful:

Winter article @ianpspurs highlights what most of us must surely realise and have to find ways to deal with, make hay whilst the sun shines.

Muddy Bike Ride with DIL at 10am, my aching limbs are screaming DONT DO IT but I know I will.

Virtual family meal tonigh, probably no need but they have become regular events and so we keep them up.

So muddle along as best you can today. Keep safe.

I was tired last night and so didn't post my daily art but I did do a lunch time pencil sketch Plein Air at MILs of a piece of waste land seen from the bottom of her garden.... so this is yesterday's art.

Pencil sketch is good @Muddy Cyclist

I love your ability to portray different types of trees effectively with just the pencil.

Fbg 6.4

Temp 35.9

A bit warm last night, so couldn't get to sleep. Finally went to sleep at 1 am, after a cuppa, and aromatherapy diffuser with rose and jasmine in it. And a small dual fan round my neck as I slept.Woke at 6 am, but would still like more sleep. Garden very still, not a leaf moving...

Good morning all. Very still but cool - to me anyway - here. Not silent, noise of a jet engine carries a long way early morning. My fbg could well have been the 4.4 it claims to have been at 5.35 but then again it may not have been. Vadasz Raw Garlic & Dill Sauerkraut and marinated artichoke hearts can't have been too bad for bg and I feel I did Waitrose a real service taking them off their hands. @Muddy Cyclist I'm tempted to say take care of yourself and avoid too much exercise but you know your own best route far better. @karen8967 your posters have started to melt my old flint heart. @geefull sorry to point out that is two days running but take special care today. Now, much tea to drink in 750 ml mugs @Krystyna23040 and lots of steps to do since diet remains in the chocolate fireguard category for me. Toodle pip.

Good morning everyone from a day of chaos and mayhem in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of ‘grandad this is a feast’ came in at 5.3 this am

Off to the zoo today. The weather looks promising - not clear for what just yet so waterproofs to be carried.
Not much time do do anything yesterday apart from playing and reading stories but here is a quick sketch.
Have a great day, koffy.

Love this @dunelm
:)

5.0 this morning. Have just put the washing out. It is a bit of a puzzle - how do two people generate so much washing.

Mr K is shopping in Aldi - I will sanitise it and put it away on his return. He seems to prefer going on his own. He says It is much faster if I am not there. It does mean I get an extra coffee this morning.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate the arrival of a brand new day.

A 6.6 this morning.

Busy old day here, not my normal sort of busy day, but the day will be ending with a BBQ.
Whatever your plans are for today, try and bring a smile to somebody's face

Not sure I do, but I promised SIL I would meet at 10am and hate letting people down but I will Ben careful and it will help my state of mind. Thanks for the concern though.

what a wonderful way to use your time, enjoy today also. Great sketch.
